William looked up at her softly as he tied off the makeshift bandage. He smiled softly. "Yes what he said. Your wound is fine." He said stepping away. "It is a pleasure Sakaki-Sama. I am here to learn kendo and perfect my twin dragon style. It would be nice if you were to accompany us." He said looking to Kunio.

Sakaki nodded and they began walking together on the path behind the East dormitory and into the more open courtyard, where students milled about, mostly in pairs or alone, unless upperclassmen that already had the ties of friendship under their obi.

She looked towards William, "I like kendo. I practice kendo a bit but I'm not very good, but I do like it. Where did you train?"

The trio found themselves sitting on some benches underneath the swaying trees above which created a dappled effect on each of them as the light broke through the green leaves and shone on their faces in splotchy circles and semi-circles.

Hearing that her kind did not find clothes necessary, Tavigo relaxed quite a bit stepping fully back into the room his tail moving back and forth furiously, showing his excitement at how they weren't so different. "My people do not wear clothes, most times, as they are not necessary. We have fur." Calming himself back down again, Tavigo went on to the business he actually came to do.

"We able change looks to a point, but most important part for people to accept you is personality. Like cherry blossom, no one see full beauty until full bloom. Be oneself and others will like you, if not, then they not deserve to ally with you. Books not judged by cover but by story."

"You decide who want to be, and you get allies and happiness. If you change inner self you merely puppet playing show. Look, I not know you, and I want to friend you not because I think look pretty, but because we are similar." Having said his piece Tavigo decided to finish up. "Saying among my people, I stand with teeth bared and arms wide. Meaning I speak without deception." He swiveled his ears to make sure no one was listening other than the girl. "May the Eye of God Watch over you. Is common blessing among my people, I give you. I have told you my name, can you give yours?"

"Actually the woman you met early. She is my teacher." He replied. "She is also my adoptive mother." He added as they found their way to the bench. "She has been teaching me everyday before school started. Now we are to practice every day after school and after Kendo practice. If you want to practice with us I am sure Sensei Rei would be okay with it." He said at first to Sakaki and then looked to Kunio. "Same for you if you want to try your hand at it." He added.

Kunio listened quietly, following the conversation with mainly his eyes, but his head moved slightly to each person as they spoke. He had a feeling his friend was falling out of his shyness Kunio thought he had. He enjoyed the relative warmth that the air gave. The trees made him feel calm. He gave a slight smile once his Companion opened up a bit, it made him feel inside that he did well in his attempt to make a friend, who he thought was beginning to slightly mimic his own openness, though he also thought he could be wrong as well.

"Oh, I see," Sakaki replied, thinking of the confusing woman that had steered her towards the cat Sakaki was still thinking about in the back of her mind. She wondered if the woman in red and white had know there would be a cat there and asked Sakaki to go there on purpose. The woman had also adopted this kendo fighter. Sakaki wondered if the woman had adopted the cat, too. Or many cats.

Sakaki kept on thinking about the woman and her possibly many cats while William spoke, listening to his words.

"I would like to train with her in class, yes. But I think if she is your mother you should be able to spend some time being with her without me to get in the way. Do you know if she has many cats, since she is your mother?"

Zenjinkaze Fighting High School

William looked thoughtful for a moment. "No Mama-I mean Sensei Rei doesn't have any cats that I know of, though I don't know." He said to Sakaki.

"We have been training very hard and we have been eating together in the cafeteria after training. But I don't think she would mind if you would like to join us. All she asks is that you pay attention and use Yamatigo during our session. She will probably hold another private lesson afterwards for me, but I don't think she would mind teaching you," He said to Sakaki, "Or you." He said looking to Kunio.

Zoia against remained silent as Ymy spoke, now getting a touch bored with the whole situation. "Hmm... Somehow I feel if people can't stand to be around me, then they won't have time to get used to my personality" She stated flatly, walking over to her uniform. She looked it over, ad decided if a teacher wanted to yell at her for it being altered that would be fine. "Anyway, I appreciate your time. If you must know, I am Zoia 'Sivaro. I must leave though, having to finish my uniform. It needs work done" She sighed, picking up the clothes and having dried off well enough. "I take it I will see you around the grounds, given your occupation" She added quickly, slipping by.

She fled to her room, pulling out a pair of shears, she cut into everything that was affected by her tail so that she could wear it and look like everyone else... She felt stupid in the clothes, but if she could at least not look stupid in them, she figured it was worth a shot. She had admittedly ignored most of what Ymy said, focusing still on outward appearance. It didn't take her long to alter her skirt and underwear to allow her tail through, despite ruining the articles, for where it was important they looked halfway normal. That was a win to her at least.

So, donning the new, obviously hand modified clothing, she decided to go soak up the sun again. She picked up her datapad, and started to walk through the courtyard. She found a place in the sun, and sat there to work on her maths and sciences. No use being at school if you didn't learn right? She sat, a bored look on her face as the datapad spoke to her in Vekimen, and she would answer back in a bored tone.

"Are you planning on teaching some of the other students your offshoot of Sora-Mai, Kunio-san?" Sakaki asked the boy that was listening intently to her question and William's response.

Kunio looked at Sakaki, "Sensei Rei has already expressed interest on learning my sub-variety." He looked down at his Katana, "Though I could teach you both as well." Tandoku Migi Ken was relatively simple, on the outside. It required many foot and body movements using the bodies's Inertia Control as a movement assist. He believed he could train his Nepleslian friend using heavier foot movements to make up for the lack of Inertia Control.

He added with a lessened smile, "It's a little movement intensive, requiring strength in the management of Inertia. Though it shouldn't be hard for William here, he just won't float." Not sure if it would offend his friend or not.

Sakaki lifted her black bangs off of her face and then they swept back down over her eyes as Kunio spoke, then said, "I think William-san would be fine. We all are equal in mind, if not body, and therefor each have the same limitations of self-control, focus, and discipline. We can each grow with the strength of one another."

Tavigo felt bad for Zoia. "Hope she make friends, be happy." he said to himself when she left him be. He slapped himself. "Oh no, almost forget finish grounds work, East wing left." Tavigo then went off his tail wagging back and forth as he hummed his way down the hallway.

Upon reaching the east wing he saw a raggedy cat. "Oh it you agian. What this time." The cat walked up to him and rubbed itself on his leg purring. "Yes we similiar that why you like me, but shy to others yes?" The cat watched him work before mewing at him. "Someone try to touch you. You bite? No good we need say sorry. Where they go?" The cat mewed a few more times. "Courtyard? Ok we go there soon, need finish work."

After a few more minutes of work Tavigo picked up the cat and went to the courtyard. He whispered to the cat upon seeing a group of three. "That them?" The cat purred in response. Tavigo approached the group. "Hello, I am Tavigo Ymy. I grounds keeper here. Like to say sorry about cat, she very shy not like people. Not good expeience with past owners, she stray now, but like to visit me here while I work. We talk." Tavigo put the cat on his shoulder and held out his hand for a handshake. "Nice meet you." He smiled.

Some time had passed since the new students had left to inspect their dorm rooms. By the time Tavigo had approached the small group to introduce himself, they had all noticed that the other students were similarly grouped up. A pair on a bench here, a group of curious Neko poking at the koi pond there. There even appeared to be a few impromptu sparring matches and exhibitions taking place. The stage had been cleared of chairs (and debris) to make way for one such display. While their resident Samurai was nowhere to be seen, two other teachers were demonstrating a few basic techniques to a small crowd of students. One, a larger Nepleslian, would demonstrate a flip or hold using his size advantage over a small Neko, something straight out of the NMSDT. She would return the favor with a similar maneuver enhanced with her special abilities to make up for the size disadvantage, showing off some forms of SACQC, possibly even CRIED.

Meanwhile, the lone Vekimen was being watched carefully as well, even if she wasn't attempting any sort of demonstration. "Ah, Sivaro-san...I'm afraid those alterations to your uniform are well outside of regulations..." The round little Neko spoke up first, the 'tsk tsk you poor thing' tone in her voice impossible to miss, even for the alien. "Apologies...we should have arranged an appointment for you at the nearby School Store and let a tailor make the proper accommodations for your...unique needs. I, um...I thought you might not wish to...experience such a crowded location while you're still so new to Yamatai." There was suddenly a large shadow cast over the Vekimen by the now second-tallest creature at the school. "I could do the sewin' for ya if ya want...I used to make alla my own outfits! Not much difference between sewin' up an arm and a sleeve, ya know?" Shayla let out another loud, rough laugh, although Mitsuko was conspicuously far enough away to escape any further friendly back-slapping.

"You gettin' on alright otherwise, kid? Believe me, I know what it's like to be thrown in the deep end with a lot of weird aliens and have to play catch up and figure out where ya fit in." She grinned, seeming friendly enough, if a bit rough around the edges. "Heard you learned Yamataigo and Trade way faster than I picked up <grunting whistle>. I don't think any of us've got the vocal cords to learn Vekimen, unless we've got any androids or MEGAMI visiting. But if you ever wanna pick up another language, somethin' like <gurgling Russian and a wet cough> can really feel good when you can't curse in the traditional languages." Mitsuko let out a disgusted scoff, adjusting her tinted glasses. "Shoi McBelle-" "Retired!" "-retired, you're supposed to be setting a good example for our students..." She shook her head as the giantess guffawed again.

While the other group conversed, they noticed a pair of Neko setting up nearby. Grappling, before one flipped the other into the soft grass. They giggled and traded places, the next thudding to the ground before popping up. The crash landings steadily became more solid, as gravity manipulation was added, then cranked up. If it kept going like this, one of them was either going to leap up higher than the shade trees or be buried into the ground.

Zoia was enjoying her casual practice when someone approached her regarding the alterations to her uniform. She looked down, forcing herself to not roll her eyes. "Only so much I can do...." She said in her still calm, alien voice. She sighed. "Vekimen do not wear clothing. We have no need in day to day life. Only when serving as part of a VDTF Combat group, or when operating EVA o the station... Or a similar space faring vessel. I am quite unaccustomed to the idea of clothing. I have a pilots skin to help me regulate body temperature, but I was all but certain you would rather me try with the school uniform, than not bother at all" She explained, standing up and giving a bow. The way she grabbed her horn could be seen as weird.

How she almost jumped out of her clothes, her mane puffing up and her teeth baring as the ludicrously large and obnoxious Neko. The wild look in her eyes remained for half a second before she seemed to relax, bowing again. "My apologies... I am not used to being startled playfully" Zoia sighed, staring at the ground, then leaning back up again. At the comment regarding language, the Sivaro had to mentally refrain from saying "No duh" to the comment. Yamataigo was such a structured language, with a small yet iron-clad vocabulary it was child's play to learn that. Compared to her usual vocabulary at least. She had to admire the efficiency of it all, though. As for trade? Well, she had some issues with trade, but she was in Yamatai. The likelihood of her having more conversations in trade than Yamataigo was unlikely. It helped she used the formal, iron-clad Yamtaigo. She didn't use slang or such things, but honorifics were troubling to her.

"The Vekimen can mock sounds too extreme accuracy. Once I had the words down, it was simple to memorize the meanings and the grammar structure. Of course, don't ask a Laderen of Black forgive a Kiraten to learn it so fast. Sivaro are fast learners. So fast, that maybe I will be able to make alla my own outfits!" She exclaimed, demonstrating her kinds vocal accuracy by repeating something the Principle had just said. "It's merely a parlour trick our kinds evolution allowed us to develop" She finished, stepping to face them both.

Sakaki listened with intensity while Tavigo Ymy spoke. She put her un-bandaged hand forward, towards him when he had put the cat on his shoulder, thinking to pet it again, before retracting her hand as she noticed someone else about to speak.

Bryn sighed with contentment as she walked out of the East dormitory. Got all my stuff unpacked, took a nap, and now I’m ready to get to know everyone. Or… she thought, looking at the sparring matches, I could get involved in that…

Walking over to where the stage was set up, she spared a glance at both Principals, who were standing around…what was that thing called again? The lavender skinned student shrugged and smiled at the memory of the giant Neko’s grand entrance. That was great! I hope she does more things like that.

Bryn sashayed towards the stage, pausing her steps to watch the two martial artists perform their moves. Wow, those are some moves that Sensei Hashimoto didn’t teach me. Looks like fun.

William nodded at Kunio. "It would be a pleasure." He said as someone new approached their group. He seemed to be in thought and about to ask something, but the arrival of Tavigo made him forget. William nodded again softly, smiling softly. "Thank you Tavigo Sama."

As he looked around and saw all the students out and about, William tensed up a bit watching as people began openly sparring. He looked on intently as people trained and fought each other. He half expected the caregiver from the orphanage to run out an yell at everyone for fighting. It was weird being away from the place he grew up, but that didn't matter now. He knew this is where he belonged as he looked between his two new friends.

"It looks like some are getting a head start on their lessons..." He said pointing to some instructors who had already begun giving lessons.

Kunio smiled at the groundskeeper, "Hello again!" He then noticed the groups sparring, which reminded him that his practice sword had broken and needed to be replaced. He looked at his Katana at his waist for a moment before hearing William speak, "Looks like it." He idly looked around and watched different matches, pointing out faults in stances in his mind.

"I still need to get my training sword replaced, unless I want to practice with a tiny mini-katana."

Noticing Sakaki reach out for the cat Tavigo lifted it off of his shoulder. "You want pet her. Go ahead, it fine to hold her too. She no bite if I nearby." Perking his ears at the suggestion of sparring Tavigo turned to William. "You want spar? I spar pretty good, know four fighting styles." Then he spoke to Kunio. "Need knew fight stick I assist. Some in tools hut, I hold key."

Tavigo looked around at what was going on around him. He stared at the tow students flipping each other. Knowing that someone was going to get hurt he spoke up. "You two over there. Stop not good idea, pain result in time." Continuing his sweep he saw a student up on the stage too close to an ongoing sparring match for Tavigo's liking. "You on stage be careful. Nurse on other side of school me not want to carry you all way there."

Shayla grinned at the imitation, another overly loud laugh following. "That's pretty good! You'll kill at the talent competition, at least! And if you're interested in makin' your own outfits, I'll sign you up for Home Ec. Or there's always my Survival classes." She smiled, but Mitsuko obviously seemed a bit unsure about the idea. "Sivaro-san, clothes are not truly required on Yamatai, in many instances. But, these are not mere clothes...they are a uniform. They are as important as the ones the Sh...Principal and myself are wearing. They show you belong here." The mousy Neko nodded, then managed a smile as well. "I'll make the appointment with the tailor for tomorrow morning, before classes. And have the literature for the Principal's suggested Extracurricular Activities sent to your datapad." The pair bowed, moving off to interact with a few other students that needed attention.

As Tavigo spoke up, the two Neko practically jumped out of their skins, clinging to each other in surprise. Obviously Younglings, they likely hadn't seen anything like him before, especially not this close. They scampered off once his gaze turned to the stage, with the next student that was chastised slumping as the warning drew attention to him. He sheepishly scooted further out of the way, trying to disappear into the crowd.
