RP [Pisces Station] And All the Rest

"Hm." Regnier sighed, running a hand through his grey hair. Odd, since he wasn't even 50 yet. Military life was stressful, of course.

His eyes made a couple clicking noises that didn't sound like they were supposed to do that as they followed Honoka rising from her chair. "Take care, kid. Don't let others get you down." Apparently he had noticed her expression. It wasn't an apology for what he said, god forbid he would do something like that. But the fact that he would offer any words of encouragement to anybody was suprising. His eyes closed as they walked away, seeming to lose interest in his surroundings.

"Aye, Ma'am." Arkase replied.
He stood and followed the Aide away, resisting the urge to double-check his side-arm. Should have brought a rifle. He thought grimly.

"You too senator," Honoka replied as she walked away, Regnier's words cheering her up considerably. "Oh, and Abby too!" She waved back to them both, the sadness gone from her eyes and were replaced with a smile on her lips.

The aide led the Santo Hei to the holding area where they were supposed to go.

It was a quiet affair when old blood was forced to take a backseat to the fancy of those which were in control of a situation. This fact made itself stand true as the late-in-her-years Lorath Fyunnen senator went about the tail-end of her short lived captivity. All simply because the young Empire decided to discriminate due to her race, not because of the government which she represented.

Her captivity was completed with the simple gesture of her holding her hands out, wrist up, exposing the locking mechanisms on the restraints which held her. With a soft click, she returned to being free... as free as one could be while being escorted by a small squad of security personnel. The situation was something which could invoke imagery of a gladiator being escorted to an arena where they would be pitted against lions and other such beasts. The imagery applied since the Fyunnen was to be escorted to the diplomatic conference... quite a lion's den.

After the short walk between the holding cells and the conference area, the Fyunnen representative bid her escort farewell as she passed into the conference area, where she quickly acted to be caught up with the situation at hand.

"Well, that was rather boring, wouldn't you say?" Arkase said, seeing the Ambassador slip away.
He turned to Honoka as he slipped the safety clip to hold his pistol better, now that he didn't have anyone to 'guard'. "Back to the food?" He asked with a sheepish grin. Why let all that good food go to waste?
"Maybe the Senator is still there with his cat."

Honoka nodded. That was certainly uneventful. She was getting a bit hungry, finally noticing now that things seemed to be going a little slower. Or was it just that she could finally just calm down? Either way, she was hungry.

"Let's go then," she said simply, heading back to where she had last seen the senator.

As the two rounded the corner into the area, a black streak flew by in front of their faces. When they looked to see what it was, they would see Abby perched on top of a semi-tall counter. She turned back around to look at them and greeted them with a small 'mew'.

Regnier was still in the same spot they had left him. Apparently he was unaware that his cat was exploring the entire area. If not for his eye spinning around and clicking when it stopped to focus on something, one might think he were asleep.

"Ah... the Beast." Arkase said, looking at the cat. "What a mighty roar."
Turning away from the animal, he walked over to the Senator, shrugging as he sat down in a chair. He began looking over at the food, puzzling out what would be worth getting up again for.

Honoka giggled. "Hi again to you too!" She reached out and petted the kitten, a stupid smile on her face. It was then that her stomach complained. "Right right, food. Don't get in too much trouble."

With that, she walked past the senator, waving to him, before going to browse what sort of foods she could eat to satiate her hunger.

"Try the weird fruit salad thing - ah, I'll get it for myself, nevermind. Anything I can get you Senator?" He then looked at the "beast" and added "Or your cat? Though I suppose she'll probably get it something." He said, referring to Honoka.

Provided the Senator replied, he'd get the food, and come back with it for the Senator, then mosey on off to look around a bit while eating some of that "Fruit Salad".

A little while later, Honoka returned with a plate of food. She plopped down in a seat at Regneir's table, and surveyed her finds for the meal. She sniffed and prodded, making sure it was edible. Well, she wasn't doing it seriously, but more just to see what was in it.

Satisfied with her food's smells and looks, she took a bite. Afterall, flavor was more important than how how it appeared on one's plate or how it tickled one's nose. After she had chewed and swallowed, Honoka remembered she hadn't greeted the senator after having returned and just sat at his table. "Ano, hello again, senator. I hope it was still okay for us to sit here, heh heh, sorry," she said, sweatdropping.

Suddenly, an alarm klaxon went off and a voice came over the intercom. "Attention: All crew report to battle stations. This is not a drill. All crew report immediately to battle stations. This is not a drill."

A tall Nepleslian in a black, pinstripe suit approached the Senator and his table. He walked with a harried gait, and seemed somewhat agitated. When he reached Regnier, he leaned and whispered into his ear.

Sir, we're receiving reports of heavy infighting throughout Yamataian space. CentCom has advised us to extract you and the other officials we have on the station.

The man straightened to attention and awaited the Senator's reply.

Back on the concourse opened for the Nepleslian diplomats, Caleros was being escorted back to the vessel he and Regnier had shared on the way there, while another suit-dressed squad of IPG officers was sent to wait for Robert Davis outside the conference chamber.

Meanwhile, around the station, gunfights began to erupt as the infected began to attack the station's defense systems...

A message flashed into the minds 4th Fleet Admiralty Staff amid the hurried shuffling of several different races. Station security could be seen running through the corridors, and concourses. It went without saying other members of the military were rushing to get to their stations in the meantime between the chaos and the fighting.

Shimizu Taisho said:
Get ready to leave for the ship. Assist anyone who needs it, but make your way towards the main conference hall and wait outside. Defer to station personnel. We will most likely be moving soon. Disable anyone that is a threat.

-Shimizu Taisho

Before Regnier could reply to the nervous neko, he was approached and warned of the ensuing chaos that was about to erupt. Back in the other corner, Abby's eyes widened and darted around the room as if sensing the danger already. She launched from her perch and bounced off a counter and landed on the table in front of Drake, who extended his arm for the cat to climb up onto his shoulder with.

"Alright alright, I'm going." He rose from his chair without the hurry that the man likely was expecting of him. He glanced at what was supposedly his new friend. "Don't get maimed or killed out there kid." Honoka might not know it, but that was actually a pretty considerable statement coming from him.

----------------------------------------------------------------
"So what the fuck is this all about now?" Regnier grumbled as he rejoined Calero. "What, someone spray catnip in the conference room or something?" He was just complaining about being ordered around again, but he really was asking what was happening. His cat was crouched low around the man's shoulders, as if the commotion spooked her.

"A damned good question," Calero grunted in response. He was towards the bridge of the DD4 they had rode in on. "Unfortunately," Calero shot a glare at one of the several IPG guards escorting the two legislators, "it seems our friends here are having a somewhat difficult time extracting this information." The bodyguard didn't say a word as they passed through the heavy bulkhead to the ship's bridge.

As they entered, the Navy crew stood and saluted for a moment. Calero gave a nod to the vessel's captain, identified by his uniform as Captain D. Vincent. "Captain, do we have any updates?" The officer shook his head. "No, sir. Nothing further from our plants, and no reports from our space."

Calero nodded and looked to Regnier. "Ready to head home?"

"Ready? I've been ready to leave as soon as we got on this litterbox of a bucket." Any and all civility or lack of being a jerk that he displayed earlier was gone already. "Nothing though, huh? Go figure... well I'd rather jump the gun and leave, then be mistaken instead of staying and being screwed over." His cat leapt down from his shoulder as they entered the bridge and found her favorite hiding spot on the ship quickly.

"Ugh... Hope you still have some liquor on you. I don't even want to imagine how the meeting went."

Arkase shifted uncomfortably as he saw the senator leave, but he quickly followed the Taisho's orders and was outside the conference hall with his pistol ready. He frowned and shifted and watched quietly for anything that was armed and mean.
The sounds of gunfire disturbed him, but as long as he didn't see anything...
He was ready. He was ready.

And he kept telling himself that, too.

Calero sighed, dug in his jacket for a moment, and retrieved an engraved, chrome flask. "Haven't broken this out in a while." He passed the flask to his colleague. "Captain, take us out of here when you're ready."

The officer nodded. "We still have enough security present to ensure the Sky Marshall's safety for the time being. We're out of here."

The DD4 destroyer slipped out of the Pisces' dock. It spin its bow towards their homeworld, and accelerated quickly away from the station. Several moments later, the ship flashed, and disappeared into hyperspace.
