"It's time to motivate myself to the liquor store." Ran looked down at Autumn tugging on his sleeves, raised an eyebrow and walked off to the liquor store, pulling out 200 DA from his pocket. "I can't wait for this shit." The Chief walked by two young boys dressed formally, both of whom were conversing in high-pitched voices about wether or not they should go to the bathroom or not. Hearing the two of them start to talk about marrying each other, the Chief immediately picked up the pace at which he walked off.

"Fucking weird shit..." He thought to himself, as the coolness of the air inside the liquor store hit him. "I should consider a fucking career change..." Ran sighed to himself, looking over the proofs of each bottle that he picked up, making sure to get the strongest stuff possible. "Blowin' shit up stays the same, but command makes shit so much worse..." Now holding 4 bottles of varying types of liquor, the Chief made his way over to the counter, payed the shop owner, and walked back out.

"So. I get the 100 proof whiskey. You two can choose between vodka, gin or rum." Ran held the bag up to Adrian and Autumn.

"Oooh, kickass. Shotgun Vodka." Adrian quickly announced, snatching the bottle from the bag and grinning. He twisted the top off and drank a rather substantial amount in one go. He lowered the bottle and grinned again. "Now then, since ye holdeth the booze, I think you get to pick where we go first."

"Now, see, as a Warrant Officer, I feel obliged to tell you that I am currently impaired..." Ran took a large swig of the whiskey, standing there and taking the burn and woody, earth-y taste in. "...Therefore, very unable to make any decisions that have any bearing on our little group. And since you also had some of that...shit, there's only one remaining sober person."

Ran turned to Autumn and handed her a pair of invisible keys. "It's up to you to drive this motherfucker around, DD." Ran then pretended to get into the passenger side of a car.

Adrian stared at Ran, vodka in one hand, cigar in the other, and blinked. "Wait, what? I don't get it." The medic took a long pull off his cigar, exhaling the smoke as thought for a moment. Suddenly, his eyes lit up with an idea.

"Hey! Let's call a taxi. Then we can taze the driver, hand-cuff him to the wheel, fill the thing with high explosives, and then we'll have our own personal slave driver for the entire leave! We can even tie one of those little... er... water things! The ones that drip! We can tie one next to his head! Yeah!"

Adrian turned and jogged towards the road, hoping to figure out how to call a taxi when he got there. He laughed maniacly the entire time, and waved for his fellow marines to follow.

Autumn laughed at Ran's gestures and the joke. "I'll get right on that sir, once I complete my round of drunken debauchery tonight." She gave Ran a quick salute and started jogging after Adrian. "I will accept the assignment of mostly keeping Adrian out of trouble until we get our asses to wherever we're getting thrown out of tonight!" She called back with a playful bounciness to her voice, and her skirt.

"But hey, if you're willing to take some orders, I can think of some things that'd be fun for you to do for me!"

Henry played another game at the table. It was a close match, just escaping with an unmodified 160 DA to pocket. Henry accidentally gave away some emotion when he found that he had a full house with two kings and three aces, so everyone else folded before the next round started.

With his haul of 190 DA plus 160 DA (350 DA total), he left the casino and saw Adrian getting into a Taxi with the other marines. Maybe now was his opportunity to get smashed alongside them and not seem like a complete recluse who had his nose buried in his book when he wasn't fighting.

"Wait - For me!" He said as he joined up with the other marines. I too want a night of 'debauchery' and somewhat mean, but still good intentioned humour. "I, want in on - the fun!"
He found himself standing next to Adrian, and stuffing his newfound money into his waistcoat while taking a long drag from his cigar and blowing the smoke out of his nose with a smile. Money was always a nice thing to gain during a shore leave - but for the night ahead, what could transpire would be priceless.

"So, shall we duct - tape someone to the side, of a taxi... or are we up for something - which requires, a bit more, thought?"

"Check that, Morrison." Ran wiped the remaining whiskey from his mouth, bringing the previously full bottle of alcohol to eye level. Noting the small amount of liquid swishing around on the bottom of the bottle, the Chief then threw it to the side, already feeling the wonderful feeling of being buzzed wash over him.

"I'm not sure that I will be mentally able to handle being strapped to the side of a taxi." Ran then lit up a cigarette, temporarily being sent into a world of wonderful due to it's effects, stacked up on his current alcohol-induced buzzed state. "So where the fuck are we going next? I might need a bit more to drink tonight."

(Since Exhack doesn't seem to like posting. :P)

"Wow. I can't imagine what that'd be like. I suppose it's something I'd have to experience for myself, hm?" Amelia laughed a little bit at the comment about the PA's. "Orbital bombardment? How'd they mistake speakers that you make it sound like it shattered everyone's hearing with orbital strikes? I'd think there'd be a difference between a really loud noise and an explosion."

Amelia was starting to realize how little she knew of the big cities. She looked a little... Embarrased? She walked away over to the counter again and placed the gun on top. "I like this one. I think I'll take it. How much?"

RE: Introduction of Viktor Kingston

A standard Nepleslian freight truck pulled up in front of the docked NSS Acadia, and from the passenger side a Nepleslian Marine climbed out. He was still in his civvies, and had a duffel bag in his left hand. After thanking the driver, he approached the ship and was welcomed aboard by an off-duty officer. After the brief formalities, he was shown to his bunk room, and told that all the Marines were currently on shore-leave. Then the officer left Viktor Kingston to himself. There wasn't much to be done on an empty ship, so he stowed his duffel bag beneath his bunk and left the room.

Upon entering the hall, Viktor was met with a slight dilemma: he didn't remember how he'd gotten to the bunk room. With a sigh, he began his twenty-minute journey to find the exit.

Upon exiting the NSS Acadia, Viktor was feeling quite embarrassed, and more than a little irritated with himself. He took a deep breath, tried to shake it off, and ventured back into the city with the hopes of running into some of his fellow Marines.

And where did Marines go on shore-leave? Why the bar, of course! Despite being a Nepleslian, Viktor was never very big on alcohol; as such, he often ended up the "unspoken" designated driver. Today would be a good day for a few drinks, though. He was too uptight around people he didn't know otherwise. So he struck out to find himself a ride to the nearest bar, and happened upon a small group of people on a sidewalk; two of them had certainly been drinking, but he wasn't sure about the lady.

I might as well ask, he thought. So he asked, "Hey, are you by any chance Marines from the NSS Acadia?"

Autumn shrugged with a short laugh to Ran, "I thought we were talking about getting tatted up before we got drunk up? I'm all for going straight to the drinking."

She turned with a whirl towards Viktor with a bright smile as she looked back at the others, "Oh noes! They've found us boys!" She laughed at her own joke as she looked at Viktor with a nod, "We're some of them, if you're looking to enlist, I'm sure there's a better recruiter around here somewhere."

He smiled at the brief exchange, but shook his head. These were definitely Marines. "Oh no, I'm already enlisted, thanks. Sounds rather childish, but you don't mind if I join your party for the night, eh? I just got transferred to the Acadia." He looked around at the group, thinking back on what Autumn said, and wondering just how much more "drunk up" Adrian and Ran could get. They looked like they were on a pretty quick route to 100% shit-faced. He was willing to put money on it that one of them would do something flat-out stupid in the next hour... No, make that a half hour.

"Eh, sure, why not? The more the merrier, I always say. You never know when you want an extra body around," Autumn replied brightly with a wink. "What better way to know you fellow marines than to see them out of uniform?"

"Just enlisted?" At this point, Ran had taken a seat on the ground. And because the newest arrival was behind him, Ran had taken it upon himself to lie down on his back in order to get a better look at him. "Seen any action before, kid? I'm not gonna have to get my legs blown off dragging you from some crater, am I?"

Autumn looked amused as her eyes traveled down to the ground where Ran was laying. She toyed with the hem of her skirt playfully, as she spoke to him, "Ran, if you wanted to see my panties, all you had to do was ask but I don't think the other ladies passing by will take it as well. It might be a good idea to get you off the ground before someone calls the cops, eh?" She suggested brightly.

"You would be surprised." Harrison said, firing a last bullet into his target.

"The shockwaves carried for miles, and the opening had a massive pyrotechnics show."

Viktor smirked down at Ran. "That won't be an issue I can assure you. I pilot PAs; the groundwork isn't usually something I'm involved with. If anything, it'll be me coming to save your ass." Then his gaze floated back up to Autumn. Damn, she was a flirtatious gal, and Viktor was having trouble deciding if that was a good or a bad thing. He looked to Ran again and offered an arm to help him stand. "Let's get you into a bar before you start trouble, eh?" Viktor predicted that this was going to be a long first night, and an amusing spectacle.

Henry took a look at the new recruit. Another big dude with bright eyes, looked just the part for what he claimed to do.

"A, sound - idea." Henry replied to Viktor's idea as he sized him up for aerodynamics. No, he thought, he was too big and bulky. Maybe someone like Giles Newman would be better for the job. He then got out his notepad and penned this note quickly, passing it to Viktor. The writing was quite calligraphic, as always.
A crumpled note said:
Pleased to make your acquaintance, my name is Henry. I specialise in long-distance engagements.

Fay was wandering around that particular side of town after getting his mechanic kneecap tuned up. He would've rather have his mother do it at her own personal shop, but it only started acting up during his shuttle ride over here. The Geshrin-Nepleslian had found a nice shop, if not in a questionable part of town. He hadn't had time to change out of his military uniform either, so he felt a little awkward walking among the many civilian-clad people in the area. The Saelus was waiting for a taxi along with a few others. At least a couple seemed familiar to him, but he had not yet realized that they were fellow marines on the same assignment: the NSS Acadia.

Autumn noticed a glimpse of green and khaki out of the corner of her eye and turned her head to get a better look. She continued to smile brightly as she recognized the face but not the name that should have gone with it. "Hey you! Shouldn't you be out of that uniform by now?" She yelled with a wave at Fay. "Come join us! You can make sure the Chief doesn't give himself alcohol poisoning!"

Fay blinked at the call. He looked around, wondering if that beautiful woman had been talking to someone else, but he saw no one else in anything resembling a uniform, so the medic walked over to the group. "Um... hello..?" he said in his usually quiet voice. Then, a thunderbolt struck him.. figuratively, of course. "Au-Autumn??" a shocked explained morphed over his face as he said this, "A-ah, you're alive! W-when? I saw you explode back on Kennewes!" It took all of his mental strength to keep from crying with joy and hugging the Geshrin woman, which would've caused an awkward situation.. unless it was already caused.
