"From my perspective, I would have to say that he found out that a guy was making moves on him." Ichiro said, sipping more of his drink, and getting a refil, as it's just a shot glass. "Hope he's alright....don't want him to do something stupid over something like that."

"Oh." Kiyoe pouted; now the mental images she'd had of the two were just ruined. "I don't see why he needs that much to drink just because a guy hit on him, though. It's not like they slept together or anything." She paused for a second, thinking, then started surveying the crowd, looking for Akira. "I hope he at least didn't hurt the guy's feelings... he was kinda cute."

"Well...maybe he's fresher then you. You know, home brew. Never heard of some of the stuff in the world." he says, finishing his drink, and getting more rum. "And what, the current company isn't good looking enough for you?"

The song ended and Kiyoko slipped away from both Caine and Creighton heading into the crowd and off the dance floor. You two take a break-don't want to tire you both out so early. Why don't you go try and wake Camellia up she looks bored?

Her shirt and skirt still wet from dancing with Caine, a peaceful smile on her lips as she walked through the sand back to the command table. Grabbing one of the glasses of white wine from the tray.

It had been two hours since they entered the staging area, in which they had only been scheduled to stay an hour, the Star Fortress had extended the schedule to the next morning, either way it was time that all these people from other ships started heading out. Yugumo...Sound last call in an hour from now. Yugumo answered her immediately Hai Shosa.

She retreated into the garden, admiring the chrysanthemums along the path leading up to the fountain, a statue of Yui with water spouting out her head. Kiyoko sat down on the stone retaining wall, the sounds of the party sounded distant, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath of the air.

Sitting there watching me, watching my crew. I can't help but wonder what you think of me. I am a child in comparison to you. She spoke to the stone Yui, as if it could listen. Hell, I doubt you even know me-Im sure I am just daughter of two Taishos. She mused, relishing in the quiet.

She noticed Tesuro leaving the party, she took after him-wondering where this new member of her staff was off to. Figuring she could talk to him about what had happened on the bridge. She stopped in the commons off of the section of enlisted quarters, to take a look around. The place was empty-everyone was at the party. The small bar had a few sprites chatting at it-she continued on her way stopping outside of the room shared by Tesuro, Kiyoe, Ichiro and soon Akira.

Yugumo, notify the Santo Hei he has a visitor.

Yugumo then notified Tesuro; Urameshi-Hei, the Shosa is here to see you.

The flashing emeralds only widened slightly as Tesuro retreated, one of his femininely arched brows quirked slightly. His fluidic motions halted as she looked after the turquoise-maned boy. Some might have had their feelings hurt by that might have felt as if they were repulsive. But not Akira, he merely giggled, rather amused by it all. Throughout their "pseudoâ€

"Pff, I don't mean like that." Kiyoe gave Ichiro a bop on the head. "I mean, it's pretty clear that he prefers fellows, don't you think? It'd just be a shame if he messed that face up crying."

She polished off the last of her drink and looked around the room, then gestured grandly at the scene, as if making a proclamation. "Look at all of this. These people," she decided, "these people can't hold their beer. I was gonna try meeting some more people here, but I think they're all too busy being na- oh, hey, they put food on our table! Good thing; I'm starving." Without waiting for his acknowledgement, she slid off the stool and headed eagerly back toward the command table.

Ichiro waved to the other man. "Hate to leave as soon as you say hi, but I must echo my fellow shipmate's need for food." he said, doing a small wave, grabbing his spiced rum, and following close behind.

After Kiyoko had slipped away from them to do her own thing Caine went and got his pants back on at least and put the jacket over his shoulder. Looking around he decided to go introduce himself properly to the new people and was heading over and perked a brow when he saw them walking away from Akira. "You know, that's pretty rude, why don't you invite him to join you?" he asked Ichiro and Kiyoe and waved to Akira in a manner to invite him along. "I'm Caine Ionoche, I'll be your XO." he said to them. "In case you didn't catch it earlier."

"Ah. Pleased to meet you. And it's been awhile since I've actually been to ANY social gatherings, so I'm a little rusty on my manners. doesn't help that i didn't know he could come over to the higher up's table." Ichrio said, grinning still.

"Huh?" Kiyoe looked back toward the bar, noticing Akira for the first time, then turned to Ichiro. "... was he there the entire time I was talking about him? Yeesh." Looking more than a little embarassed, she waved Akira, shouting, "Sorry, I didn't hear you over all of this," over the din of the party.

After Kiyoko left the dance floor, Creighton slipped into a stupor. He danced with the Neko behind him for a few more minutes before feeling extremely lightheaded. The young man stumbled from the dance crowd and past the tables. On his way by he snatched a bottle of whiskey.

This- Uhhhh, this is gone well. Man my head. Creighton groaned to himself. He stumbled up to a tree before putting his back to it and sliding down to a sitting position. He pulled the cap from the drink a took a quick swig. His stomach felt terrible, but he didn't seem to mind. Creighton simply looked up and smiled.

( OOC: Uh, you know the trachea goes to the lungs, right?? )

(I edited that for him, :) )

(Okay, back IC with you)

Caine nodded to the recruits and Akira. "Don't worry about Kiyoe, it's hard to hear much of anything over this music." he said and looked the three of them over as akira said he was going to retire. "Alright. See ya." he said before turning to the other two. "So how about you two? got any plans after you eat?"

Kiyoe waved enthusiastically at Akira's receding form, apparently hoping to make up for missing his presence earlier. "Good night!"

Turning to Caine, she replied, "Not really. This," she hesitated and glanced around to make sure Kiyoko wasn't within hearing range, "isn't really my kind of party. Too much dancing, not enough drinking and talking. I guess I'll just head back to the room unless something else comes up."

As much as she hated to admit it, she was feeling over her head. There were a lot of people here--a lot of strangers, which was a very new turn of events for her, having grown up in a small enough community that she knew most people. And while she liked to consider herself pretty open-minded, some of the things happening out on the dance floor were making her reluctant to join that.

The YSS Yamahata's auxiliary engines were at double their capacity as it tore through the area of open space just outside the Katsuko's nebula. The Arashi class escort had been with a small group of ships from the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet sent to do reckon on the fringes of the nebula. Onboard its temporary crew of officers originally bound for station on the Yugumo called out for assistance over their communications system.

The Xianthrafruglu Gunship came around releasing its heavy subspace-encased tunneling cannons across the beam of the Yamahata, ripping through the severely damaged ship like it was butter. The ship broke apart, annihilated by the superior force; the gunship turned and headed back towards Murf.

Yugumo interrupted Caine and Creighton, Ionoche-Chui; you have a waiting message from Himitsu-Command. And a similar message was sent to Creighton.

Ionoche Caine, Chui,
XO YSS Yugumo

Creighton Marks, Chui
3rd Duty Officer YSS Yugumo

At your convince please inform Motoyoshi Kiyoko, Shosa- There is a problem with her intended senior staff. I regret to inform you that the YSS Yamahata was destroyed on return from a reckon mission. At this time command is unable to provide additional personnel due to the availability of experienced officers; everything we have is going to be put towards the war effort.

Best of luck, Give those trainees hell. We need hardened officers for the times ahead.

Mitsuya Saito, Chujo
HIMITSU STAR FORTRESS, COMMANDER
