Re: [restart point] Mission 2

The young Ketsurui scanned the area near Yukari and nodded to herself as she saw the way was clear. She kept her rifle raised and at ready. She was truly grateful for her past combat experience in the Daisy and in a way, the failures of those missions that had been haunting her since her return to service.

Sora waited for the door to the bay to open so they could advance forward to the main medical bay. She wondered what they were actually fighting. She knew that the Mishhu usually sent in ghost types for boarding parties and that Rippers (as she knew) didn't typically board ships- they just destroyed the power armor teams that protected them.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Yukari's armor dropped its two tactical drones and turned on its tachyon sensor array to try and get a fuller picture of things that were going on.

Stepping into the cargo storage area, Yukari looked about. She could not add weapons to her arsenal, apparently; she turned and opened the door to the main corridor for the Hoshi.

Her drones looked both ways for her and gave her the all-clear, at least for that moment. "You all have your destinations; let us go to them. Pawn Two, cover my aft please while I advance to the bridge."

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

"Good luck, Pawn One," Sora said softly as she moved close to the bulkhead in the corridor once they had exited the decontamination room, keeping her rifle ready as she moved forward. She waited for the others supporting her to follow her lead.

"Right, we all know our layout, and corridors are not our friends. Let's hurry to get there," the young Kohosei said quietly over the comm. She knew that the med lab on the Hoshi's med lab was closer to them than the one on the Miharu but, it was far too close to the bridge and they could utilize the choke point that the main corridor and the connection point offered.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

"Got it. I can bring up the rear once Suzuka-Shoi is to the bridge." Miyoko brought up her plasma rifle, ready to step into the hall to cover Yukari. She deployed one of her own drones, sending it to watch the doorway linking the cargo room to the bay--it wouldn't do to let anybody entering from the multi-function bays get the drop on her. "AIES, please alert me if the drone detects any enemies." She was going to be too busy scanning the hall without watching the drone's feed too.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Yukari wasted no time. After Miyoko confirmed, the Shosa turned the corner and dashed down the hall without touching the ground, floating with her rifle facing forward. She wished for a Mk. II LASR, but if they were facing Black Spiral armors, such a weapon would be pointless.

She floated to a halt next to the door of the medical lab, put her back against the wall and pointed her rifle back down the corridor to cover Miyoko and Ichigo as they came with her. "Pawn Two, Ichigo-san, move!"

Armories were all around, and there was an urge to go through them to try and use some of what was there. Was there time? She clearly recalled the psionic grenades; their potential could not be just left behind, could it?

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

The report that the Meng Po continued to attack them was troubling to Nyton. It meant that even if they destroyed all the Mindys aboard the Miharu they would still be wiped out if the enemy's home base was left unchecked. Even as he held his position and tried to maintain battlefield awareness it would become more and more difficult if they continued to lose systems.

Pawn 1 this is Bishop 1. We need to do something about the enemy ship or else there won't be much of the Miharu left to defend. Lets try and get some of our weapons online to fire back. At this close range our particle canons should be able to cripple them with a quick salvo.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

The sound of klaxons blaring and the sounds of a very one-sided battle going on outside the ship's hull was keeping Yuril very edgy and nervous as she waited for orders. Standing around doing nothing, when there was enemies on board and your ship still being shot at, was agonizing.

Luckily, it wasn't long until orders had been received and the over-enthusiastic Asher-hei was already in action, the neko quickly took off after him. With something to do, she could at least keep her mind off the fact that although this was a simulation she knew the Miharu could only take so much simulated damage until I'd crack. And they'd all die simulated deaths in that case, which would not look very good for the crews first simulation...

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

It took a few seconds before the realization dawned and Nyton became aware of the fact that Sora was leading a group towards the Miharu's medbay on the main deck and not the one on the Hoshi. What made no sense about this maneuver was the fact that not only would there be congestion with the two Fire Teams but the enemy was roaming there. They would also be too far away to be able to receive or deliver assistance to the other teams as a result. The Support Team was not meant for direct combat even with its numbers. Nyton took as quick a corrective measure as he could and sent a message to Sora.

ATTENTION: This is Bishop 1. Do not enter the main deck until the Fire Teams have had a chance to sweep first. Stage in the med lab on this deck first and stand by.

A small map accompanied this message that highlighted the Hoshi medbay (point 7, Hoshi deck).

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Sora pursed her lips together and nodded inside her helmet to herself.

Acknowledged Bishop 1. Support team fall back to this location.

She replied to Nyton before forwarding the adjusted map to the rest of the support team. It was a closer position than before so it would not take them much time at all to get to the new lab.She was concerned however, about just how much of a target the Hoshi's lab was due to its location but, there was no time to argue the point and Nyton was more familiar with the ship than she, so he had a better grasp of what's tactically sound.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Sanjuro was never too far behind as he followed Sora, matching her movements through the ship as best as he could. He attempted to keep up at least some semblance of readiness and willingness during all of this, nodding boorishly and keeping as silent as possible as orders and tactics were issues and executed in tandem. Sanjuro made sure that he kept up with the main group, however, glancing back down the path they had just tread to ensure they were not being followed, his weapon raised and ready.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Once Yukari was in position... and her new orders told her to go there... Miyoko lowered the rifle, quickly flying down the hall to join her. She recalled the tactical drone, having it watch the starboard half of the fork in the hall, while she herself cautiously looked down the other as she waited for the rest of the support team to cover the distance.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Asher hummed to himself as he deployed one of his drones at ten foot distance infront of him. He wanted to see the enemy first before they saw them.

"...I neva' saw a foo' I couldn't boot. I neva' saw a crew I couldn't shoot. Because I'mma straight out killa', born ta' beat. I gotta' piece, a knife, and a shank from jail. I'm the baddest mothafucka' since TJ Hail..." Asher's hum broke into quiet lyrics for a moment as he ascended into the Miharu from the Hoshi.

He began to move up into the multi-function bays as he entered into the Main Deck of the YSS Miharu. Asher scanned the multi-function bays, his rifle raised.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

As everybody started moving and it became apparent that the sensor dome was under attack, Masako sent a telepathic message to Asher, Tom, and Yoroko. "Ok, we'll start on the main deck. Same plan as before, Team Two to Port, Team One to Starboard. Hustle towards the Sensor dome," she ordered as she used her gravity manipulation to head up the zero-gravity tube and towards the main deck.

"I will take point to start out," she sent to Team One. "Mizuno-Hei in the center position and Freeman-Juni protecting the rear."

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

"Understood" Yoroko responded as she ascended up the gravity tube behind Masako. As Yoroko ascended she kept her eyes peeled for any intruders.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Kai followed after Asher, shadowing him down the hallways. As his team leader released a drone, so did he, taking into account everything his leader did. He was only lucky that last time he rushed headfirst at an enemy it went well, but now he'd have to be more careful.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Nyton watched as the four teams moved into position. Both Fire teams were heading into the Miharu's deck to search and destroy. Auxiliary team was covering the connection behind them. Support was engaged in the dual task of securing the medlab and the bridge. With all the pieces in motion Nyton's mind raced to consider their position.

The enemy ship was attacking them while boarders were assaulting the Miharu deck. They would only have so long before the enemy began to infiltrate the Hoshi even with the Fire teams engaging them. He was not certain how many of the enemy Mindys had entered the Miharu but if they used their teleportation units then they should be unable to make another jump until the system recharged. They had to make a dynamic move if they were to seize the initiative away from the enemy. He simultaneously began to send message windows out.

ATTENTION: Pawn 1 this is Bishop 1. The enemy's weapon pods need to be stopped as well. Once your squad has arrived at the bridge deploy weapon pods in transphasic beam mode and utilize our particle canons. The main gun and torpedoes must be manually fired by an authorized crewmember. We could either use a chibi-MEGAMI probe or send someone outside as observer to compensate for our lost sensor array. If the enemy ship thinks we are immobilized then perhaps we should fire first before they realize we can defend ourselves. It is also possible that they won't attack us heavily while their forces are still aboard. We cannot let them cripple us slowly with pinpoint strikes. If you need me at tactical let me know and I will arrive shortly.

The next message went to the Miharu's MEGAMI, Hoshi's MEGAMI, as well as the two Fire team leaders.

ATTENTION: This is Bishop 1. Miharu deploy defensive shields around vital areas such as engineering and your IES. Create holograms of Daisy M6-1B armors to confuse the enemy into thinking they are being attacked opposite the direction our forces are actually approaching from. If necessary use them to try and draw off any attackers that are threatening your IES. Otherwise do not initiate this hologram feint until our Fire teams are in position and coordinated with. Hoshi, the enemy is assaulting the Miharu decks. If her IES is struck you will have to compensate and take control.

The next message was a question meant for the MEGAMI.

Miharu, how are the enemy able to teleport in without being seen? Are they using camoflauge to remain unseen by your nodal system? Have you received any visual at all of the boarders? We should be able to track them so long as they are within the ship. Aside from the destruction they have already caused there should be a way for us to know where they are unless there are conduits that are not monitored by your systems. If there are then we need to be alerted to such to try and counter this.

Nyton hoped Yukari's group would be able to pull off a miracle and destroy the Meng Po with a quick strike leaving them with only the Mindys to deal with. The enemy's morale would either be shaken by this or hardened to dangerous levels such as that of the cornered beast.

"Alright men, stay sharp and line the hallway with your probes. Make sure we have a tight net around this area in case any enemy slips in behind us. The others are counting on us, don't give the enemy a chance to surprise us." Nyton commed over to his team mates and displayed a map with an overlay of the drone net he wanted.

(OOC: Nyton's map.)

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Sora quickly entered the Hoshi's medlab looking around the room with her rifle raised as she searched the room visually and with her scanners for anyone and anything that should not be there. She didn't wait this time for the others to follow her, knowing that someone would.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Tom took his position, covering the rear of his team as they moved. Disappointed that he hadn't gotten an answer from Masako during the rush of activity, he still felt inadequate for the coming onslaught.

I wonder how Yukari's doing. She must really hate this, being in a powerarmor and commanding a whole team too! Well, I'll be sure to cheer her up later.

The thought helped ease his mind to the scenario, the Yamataian grinning as he scanned his powerarmor's sensors for any signs of activity.

Hey, it's a VR sim, right? Just like before. Don't get too swept up in it, Tom. You've got far greater responsibility after this game is over.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Yukari was feeling many things, and enjoyment was indeed not one of them.

She realized she'd changed her orders on poor Miyoko; she was supposed to follow Sora, not her. Too late now. Ichigo and Mara quickly followed down the corridor as Sora zipped by into the medical lab. They stuck to the ceiling, weapons at the ready.

Yukari made her own turn, down the port side and to the door of the bridge. When it opened, she found holographic crew at all positions. Her tachyon sensors could still detect the Meng Po outside of the ship, probably readying another shot.

"Zero," she said simply. "Can I control the Miharu or Hoshi enough to return fire?"

Yukari's telepathy said:
Pawn Two, inside the bridge with me. Ichigo, Mara, cover Queen One's team until they are secure.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Serizawa received the drone deployment plan sent to him from Claymere. The scientist commanded his tactical drones to take up the positions in the corridor around the bridge, namely the stern-most point and the point just to the starboard of that. Once the drones had reached their positions, Serizawa relayed their locations back to Bishop 1.
