Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Takuma looked back at his data pad and looked through the weapons. "Wow, we really could start our own war. I'll leave in just a se-" Takuma looked up and noticed that Masako had already left. "Oh... Well Asher, we should go before it starts."

Just then a smile came across his face. "Well, we have all these weapons, but we don't know if they work. It'd be bad if we got into a battle and they didn't work. You think we should do everyone a favor and test them out by having some target practice?"

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

"As temptin' as that sounds, I'd ratha' not. I'm on tha' Juni's bad side 'nuff as is." Asher tilted his head as he looked on to the exit. "'Sides, I wanna see if there's some attracitive women in our little group'a reinforcements."

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Takuma gave a sigh. "Yeah, don't want to look bad before we get new orders. Well, we're getting close to late, we should hurry." With that, Takuma headed to the door and to the Sensor Dome.

A short walk, and it looked like they made it just in time. Takuma looked around and found a seat next to Nyton. He didn't want to interrupt their conversation so he tried to sit down without drawing much attention.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Kai raised an eyebrow as a man very similar to Kiyoshi sat down somewhat near him. He leaned over and said, quietly, "Hey, you look kinda familiar, do have a brother in the Star Army?" there was a quizzical expression on the man's face as he looked at what appeared to be an old buddy from training, but there was something different, Kai could tell.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Asher nodded as he followed in behind Takuma, matching his pace to the Sensor Dome. When he finally arrived, he scanned the room and checked for the newer members. He spied one girl, with black hair, slightly taller than him too.

Time ta' make a'impression.

The Hei walked around the room and picked his seat right next to Yoroko, he leaned back thoughtfully. He wore a rather suave impression on his face.

"Hi." He said with a smile, his street slang tone gone. Since she was a bit of a stranger, he started using his closed tone(Normal).

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Sora smiled shyly as she watched the older crew members enter the sensor dome, trying to recall the names to the faces again. She placed her right leg over left knee, crossing her legs before she placed her hands in her lap, the action caused her skirt to slide up and show a nice glimpse of her thighs. Her eyes wandered excitedly around the sensor dome at all the different people and things.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Miyoko entered the room quietly, taking a seat in the rear corner so she could survey the room from a position of relative solitude. Too many new people--far more than I'd expected... She'd logically known it was coming, with a huge portion of the crew offloaded at Gemini, but to see so many new faces mixed in with the familiars was just jarring to her.

And upsetting. Getting to the point where she could open up and converse with groups on the ship had been hard enough the first time around; having new people thrown into the mix just as she'd been getting used to it was a major setback.

On the bright side, she decided, maybe it would help deter the birthday thing. After all, nobody would feel comfortable with throwing her a party if half the crew didn't even know her, right? Secure in this new knowledge, the sensor specialist leaned back and relaxed, waiting for the briefing to start. With any luck, she'd be free to talk to Yukari or Masako afterward and allay the rest of her fears.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Serizawa's attention fell upon the volumetric display of Nataria and wondered how it related to the upcoming mission. Peering at the Mishhuvurthyar and Yamatai vessels in the three dimensional image carefully, he tried to determine whether it was a recap of the assault on the depot that had been the Plumeria's last fight. However, the scientist lacked the necessary tactical experience it required to identify the ships and formations to make an accurate assumption. Furthermore, considering that, despite the severity of the battle, the assault had been repelled, Serizawa guessed that there was an entirely new assault about to take place.

Glancing at the hand Sora had placed on his, Serizawa wondered if she remembered anything about the battle. His eyes lowered down her body, drawn toward her thighs, bared a little more than usual thanks to the receding of her skirt.

Stay focused, Serizawa reprimanded himself. She wouldn't remember anything. She died back then just the same as you.

While his attention was, for the moment, upon his lover, Serizawa noticed her energized observation of her surroundings and he asked her, his voice kept at a modest whisper, "So, what are your impressions so far?"

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

The young Ketsurui paused in her observations as Serizawa asked her a question. She pursed her lips together for a moment and tilted her head to one side towards him. "I have the feeling we're doing another assault against the SMX, but I think..that's a given, Ichi-kun. Or do you mean of the Miharu?" Sora whispered quietly back.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Naoko had trailed behind briefly, as she'd had trouble trying to decide for herself what room to pick. Upon entering she bowed to the crew, then to the Taisa. Her thoughts on the golden-eyed Neko would have to wait, however -- she quickly took a seat next to Asher and waited for the briefing.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

The silver-haired neko took a seat away from everyone else, not because she was antisocial but mainly because she didn't want to intrude on the little groups people had made... Plus it gave her a good time to survey the room and take note of every single face, and try to place them with the information she had.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Nyton said:
"Funny how seeing such young faces can make you feel old. Although given how nice you look in your uniform, I don't think you are ready to be an old maid."

Masako was about to respond, but the compliment left her speechless as her cheeks flushed a wine red. It was the same as when she went shopping all those months ago. The young warrant officer didn't know how to deal with such compliments on her appearance that she would just clam up.

Nyton said:
"How do you feel about taking on the responsibility of integrating them into your Armor wing?"

With this question, Masako coughed into a closed fist in an effort to regain some composure before answering. "Honestly," she whispered. "I'm a little nervous," she continued hesitantly in the same low tone. "Last time I just got thrown into a situation with little to no preparation. Meaning I just had to deal with it the best I could. This time I have a bit of time to prepare them, so it's kind of strange."

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Nyton did not have to look directly although his side vision let him see just how red Masako had turned. He secretly grinned in satifaction at making her blush. It was as cute as her giggle.

"It is normal to be nervous no matter how many times you run through this. Don't get used to having a good amount of time to run some pre-op though. Given our approaching ops tempo we will be rushing on the fly again." Nyton replied with a hint of concern in his voice. He did not want to give away his thoughts about the upcoming mission. As eager as he was to return to combat he could not help but feel some tension.

"If there is any assistance you should need do not hesitate to ask. I am here to support you in any way." Nyton offered. "By the way, have you had a chance to look through the picture book of Nepleslia I got you?" he asked in an attempt to shift away from business related subjects.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

"I meant the Miharu," Serizawa told Sora. "I'm just curious what your thoughts are. My first impressions are that this a far more structured environment than we've been used to. However, they aren't against the idea of bending some of the regulations. I suppose they use a 'whatever works' strategy but it's hard to say."

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

"Technically, Ichi-kun, it's the Captain's prerogative to run her ship as she sees fit. There are no regulations on how certain things are supposed to be on Star army of Yamatai ships, but, I'm not sure what you mean by bending certain regulations. But the environment here on the Miharu does seem more professional than it was with Hanako-Taisa's ships," Sora replied quietly back as she stretched her arms behind her back, arching her back upwards for a few moments.

The red haired Ketsurui smiled thoughtfully as she looked at Serizawa, still talking very quietly, "I think, a lot of Captains choose to go by a methodology of keeping things somewhat professional when actually working but since we are technically, almost always on duty when we are deployed- there are certain things that are harder to prevent and regulate without harming the morale of the crew. But think about it this way, at least you don't have to go through another Dare Lottery party with Cherry and Tenshi."

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Yoroko was just about to speak to Serizawa when Asher came and sat down beside her. "Hello." Yoroko responded to Asher's greeting. As Yoroko looked at Asher she noticed his rank was Itto Hei. "Have you been on the Miharu long?" Yoroko asked politely.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Asher turned his head around for a moment, noticing Naoko sit next to him. He gave her a small wave and returned his attention to Yoroko.

Yoroko said:
"Have you been on the Miharu long?"

The Hei rubbed under the spike on his chin, he thought back to his first ship, the Shikaku. He seemed to go off into a distant thought for a moment. Then he, cracking a smile, returned his gaze back to Yoroko.

"Since the Battle of Taiie, I'm an acting Power Armor pilot." Asher nodded to her. "Oh! I haven't introduced myself, Ittô Hei Asher Orkin Westwood." The Hei extended a hand to her for a shake.

"You need something cut up, mown down, done right, or not left standing, I'm the man to do it." He said as he flared a confident grin.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

From his little corner of the universe, Sanjuro did his best to watch as the men and women, old and new, conversed between each other. He made little to no attempt to disguise his obvious interest in each of the new personalities...but he did not stand nor speak to address his fascinations, either. He was quite content with simply observing in his own special way, off away from the main group of crew members, awaiting the time for the Taisa to address them.

He was eager to start with his work...he had not seen the medical bay yet, but from his initial impressions of the previous medical staff, Sanjuro prepared himself to be...unimpressed with the display he might be presented. It worried him, and at the same time gave him something to work on, to be content with. He always enjoyed being content with his work...and seeing as his work was one of his few joys in his life, his eagerness to begin was understandable.

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Serizawa managed to stifle a laugh after he heard Sora's last comment. The only sound that came from him was a brief, amused snort.

"I suppose you're right," Serizawa replied. "I'm just over thinking things. However, the ship's roster gives me a little hope. With enough medical staff, I'll be able to concentrate my efforts on my chosen field of study."

Folding his arms over his chest, Serizawa sat back into his seat and looked ahead before he added, "Besides, I don't have the healing nature that you seem to possess."

Re: [restart point] Mission 2

Sora leaned slightly forward with her hands on her thighs, causing her bosom to get pushed prominently up and forward as she looked at Serizawa with a soft pout. "Aww, I wish you won't say stuff like that Ichi-kun. You're not a bad medic at all, the old crew really liked you. You just feel that way because you'd rather be formulating aetherial equations or doing research. You can do both if your really wanted to, Ichi-kun. Why not branch into medical research?"
