RP: SFS Service to the Free State: Glorified Border Guards

Alistair sighed as Eir walked out. "Well Eli, the offer still stands if you care." He said with a slight smile. "I'm going to go get some sleep." He grabbed another bottle of rum as he walked out of the room. He pulled up the schematics of the ship and found where the bunks where.

As he walked he thought about the days events. He went from getting yelled at as soon as he got here, to an "almost boarding action," to getting a new CO who already expressed that he dosen't like him. He was tired and wanted some sleep. He took a swig of the rum and trudged on.

He finally found an empy bunk and dropped all of his gear with a crash. The other bunks around him were unoccupied. He hopped up into the top bunk and grabbed his data jockey and decided that he would upgrade some of his hacking programs. He gave them faster proceesing speeds and many other useful features.

As he put the final touches on the programs, he looked down at his locket and opened it. Inside was a picture of him and his sister when they were kids, and the other pictures was of his mother. "Well Mia, your brother could use a hand over here. I really miss you." He thought. He closed the locket and put his things away. Alistair didn't even take the time to get out of his uniform, he just flipped over onto his side, set his alarm and went to sleep clutching his locket tightly in his hand.

"Irie mon." Eli said, smiling. "But I tink Eir's got the right idea. Time to sleep. Never know when yeh might have to board a rogue ship, mon."

Eli blinked tiredly. His brain didn't seem to be able to comprehend the new 'Spacers or their frantic, back-and-forth chatter, but he didn't put much stock into that. He was tired. It had been a long, strange day, one in which he learned a lot. He left mere seconds after Alistair, saying goodbye to Phase before ambling to the berthing. He pressed the half-finished forty (now a twenty) into the hands of a passing sailor, confident the alcohol would find a good home.

He found his rack, opened the coffin-locker, and removed his uniform, folding it neatly and putting it into a mesh laundry bag. He climbed into some civilian clothes - he was too exhausted to shower or even brush his teeth, closing the locker and climbing into the rack with a practiced ease. Sleep hit him the minute his head hit the pillow, and the day's worries were no more.

Beep trundled down the hallway, its heavy footsteps sounding down the metal corridor as its occular units scanned a place for it to 'bunk'.

"Beep"

it toned low, as it stood in a T intersection glacing which way it should go. As it scanned left and right it noticed the door right in front of it labled "LAUNDRY ROOM" and it understood those letters. Without hesitation it stomped on through the door, almost knocking it off its hinges, to quickly see what machines this facility was using. The thrumming of water filled machines filled the warmachine with a serene sense of calm, along with the swishing waters soothing motion to the eyes.

It stood motionless in the room waiting for a cycle to end so it could begin working.

"A regular power outlet will do fine" Halcyone replied to Linda as they walked along.

She had quite a bit of charging to do over night. Along with her suit, her artificial limbs could do with a recharge.
