Medical Sub MOSs
I know it's probably unreasonable to make separate MOSs for like Dentists, Ear Nose throat doctors, Cardiologists, trauma surgeons, etc etc, but I wonder if it makes sense kinda how Rangers have Vanguards and Commandos and more and pilots can be fighter pilots or bomber pilots, to officially delineate some medical roles at least among Officers.

As someone who's spent a lot of time recently with Demibear thinking on things like how distinguish Rikugun specialities by sight, I'd suggest making some variations on the existing medical patch as a fairly elegant solution. Given all the past art for the existing patch variation is for combat medics iirc (or at least the same training was given to those characters), it doesn't invalidate that art, but still leaves the door open for these new MOS' being visually recognisable in a unobtrusive way. Just an idea

I kinda like the idea of tabs like the US Army has ranger tabs and sapper tabs and more so little stripes that can be put over the medical diamond to distinguish your specific training.
That's a totally valid route too! Exciting. I'd just advise that real estate on the sleeves of the uniform is really tight and even adding a tab like that might be a squeeze, if it's intended to go above the medical patch I think that would be almost on the collar bone. There's a nice diagram on the wiki that has a layout of where everything goes, but I think it needs some small updates so bear that in mind
Some of the older characters, even ones under 10 IRL years old, tend to accumulate a lot of ribbons. However! They are only displayed on formals, which there's rarely ever cause to wear IC, at least for the most active characters (plotship characters). Reminds me about bringing up again how some characters have 20+ citations for a single ribbon, which probably could look like an encoded message when all those metal numbers on the ribbons are side by side on the lapel lol.

Can some things remain off the books? Like can we include rule of cool for elements like OBGYN docs, please? I like playing a Nekovalkryja that doesn't have a period and doesn't need a pap smear or the need to medically open their legs unless they're painlessly birthing out a baby in under a half hour ^0~
