Maradia

The thick-tailed cyborg separa received her case, opening it to see a PAAR-40, SAR T41b, and Type 33 Dark NSP. She took each one out and examined them, finding they were rather awkward to wield with her right hand being a claw, but still possible. Her left hand wasn't a claw but was still robotic, its high strength and absence of fatigue compensated for her claw hand's struggle to find a good place to grip the weapons. She was a little disappointed to hear they wouldn't be using Mindies, since she knew the Mindy was capable of mounting the Kalamari manipulator arm system on its dorsal hardpoint, which she wanted. She put the weapons back inside and closed the case. She first raised her claw hand, then realizing which one she had raised she took it down and raised her left hand instead to make it more clear she was raising her hand to ask a question. "Will we have access to Mindies in the future?" she asked, speaking through a scarf. She had a large green scarf wrapped around her neck and the bottom half of her face, as she wanted to conceal her rather odd looking robotic mouth, but she ensured she was speaking loud enough that her voice was clear.

Kikios Leka
Kiki with her distinctive hair was also present, visible to Klaus and Elenor. To both of them, she looked exactly like the Kikios that had been on the Kaiyō II, with the exception that she had a Santô Hei patch, whereas the cockatoo on the Kaiyō had received promotions. Regardless, Kiki strangely had no reaction to seeing either of them, as it wasn't the same Kiki. When she opened the case she received, she found the only thing inside was a Dark NSP. She was a technician, so it wasn't like she received extra weapons before, but it was still a bit of a let-down; she had been hoping she'd be able to use one of the cool weapons that had yet to see combat use. Speaking of technicians, the engineer bird checked her computer pad. How strange, the ship was reporting that someone was trying to hack into it. She browsed through the computer tablet for a bit, trying to find the source. She looked around the room, confused, and shrugged. She'd have to look into it later. For now, not hearing mention of what the mechanics' roles were in this mission, she raised her hand and asked "What will I be doing during this exercise?"

Asleif Belemtal
Asleif looked over at Hei Leka, and shrugged. "Considering this is a combat familiarization exercise, I'm afraid not a lot Hei Leka. You'll most likely be set to work on a crash course on the equipment we'll be using and how to maintain them at the Armoury level. While the new weapons are quite field maintenance friendly, it doesn't mean it won't need an experts touch at some point." Then she looked to the two pilots. "You two get to sit in the bridge with us while the exercise goes. Since you'll be working closely with both groups, usually from above, getting you brought up to speed is gonna be vital."

Niwa Belemtal
"Hei Maradia, if you paid attention to the briefing, yes, we have Mindy's. Not all of our targets are going to be on the ground." She stated, flatly. Of course someone wasn't going to be paying attention on her side. It wouldn't do for all the trouble to belong to the Rangers. "Anyone else want to ask questions that we've already covered again? Because we can be here for the next two shifts repeating what's been said. Ship's not due to depart till Day Shift tomorrow."

Bjorn listened to the conversation and then looked over the crew, he shrugged and spoke up "I am fine with what we have to do, This test in the VR simulation sounds right up my alley..." He pauses for a bit and then looks at the two giving orders "Um one question though, what ammunition will be using in the exercise, just want to make sure that one my body won't fry in one shot and two that we don't blow up someone who can't be brought back with a back up."

Maradia
The partially robotic snake was taken aback from being called out for asking a question that had already been answered. She slumped from embarrassment, making a couple electronic beeps. The modified pythus shut her mechanical mouth under her scarf instead of saying anything else to avoid looking like a fool, even though she did want to know if it would be possible to take a Mindy instead of a Daisy on ground missions.

Kikios Leka
"I see... understood..." the crestbirb responded with a hint of disappointment in her voice. She had no problem with familiarizing herself with the ship and weapons, but this exercise sounded fun. She could think of several creative ways to protect or move the simulated equipment, but she guessed it was true that learning about the new weaponry was more important.

Itto Hei Ryu Masaharu just kept his mouth shut and listened the whole time. He initially wondered why he was handed down orders to a random ship within the fleet instead of a recon "platoon" in a giretsu century. After all, that was what all he had been training to do for most of the first year of service. But now it was starting to make sense to him. This must be some ad-hoc thing to test a new concept for them he figured.

For the rest of the briefing, he just remained there, looking like the professional soldier that he was.
