You showed interest in diplomacy but behind the scenes, I just couldn't get that to work. I'd have to have people outside of the plot RP in it/with it and they didn't quite get the direction so I'm going to keep trying that at some angle, just know I didn't forget about your interest but couldn't figure it with higher ups.

Not really needing any more player posts in this mission, that's a wrap. Take a moment to recuperate between missions (it won't be long).

This next mission will be a little experimental. It's nothing groundbreaking, just something engaging to write and read rather than the same old. It will be less Hoshi handholding everyone and giving orders, since that just doesn’t make sense, and more of a movie where different groups/people are all working independently or covertly towards the same end goal. Think an Oceans film where once they’re at the heist, they don’t interact or talk in the same way they would when planning.

I’ll be contacting everyone about their roles a bit here and there, but I m placing faith in individuals and groups of players to make fair judgements on setting some of the scenes and directing some of what is happening. I’ll still write for enemy NPCs and any enemy hits/ etc for fights.
 
New thread! RP: YSS Kaiyō - Mission 32: Uchū Kaubōi

We'll be using location tags this mission. The Rio/Molli/Sif group can use "Caldera Base" with specific location tags like "bunks" or what have you. Molli will be team leader of the trio as she'll be an NCO/Nito Heisho. Gles, reach out to me and let me know if you'd prefer her to not to have that role. raz will do orders soon, but everyone is one rank up from last mission.

You'll be going off of what I say OOC and be alone IC for a bit. I'd prefer you guys work independently as this would read and write better. But if you have any hesitancy about this, let me know and we can discuss. I don't want to overburden you and make you feel like you're mini GMing.

I was going to have the NMX guards give some orders to the cowboy group, but I think it would be better if the undercover NMX did so here. We cowboys will wait to post to see what those are from the NMX group : )

Spent awhile describing the platform and etc, but the tldr is that the NMX group is up on top of the cauldron lake plus the last line: "What they needed, though, was for William, Aiko, and Hoshi to be allowed through with [the cows] and they were counting on the Kaiyō crewmen in disguise to help make that happen."

I've seen just about every player include dialogue in the meat of paragraphs the past couple of posting rounds so this isn't calling out one person in particular, but quite a few! I've actually edited some posts to be more readable. I always feel a little grimy doing this, so dw as I'm not actively enjoying it.

Try to treat someone speaking as a new paragraph. Just one sentence or dialogue lead in before what your character says helps orient the reader on the page. Kind of a good writing convention to pass along, but one I sometimes break with "a sentence and half" here and there. Just something on my mind.

Alright, I replied Sunday and it's Tuesday with no new replies. As I've said in the past, I'd like to move a little faster than one post a week.

Honestly, there's been some stuff happening behind closed doors that's been stressful and also disappointing. I don't really see things becoming any less complicated, so I'm just going to play things by ear for a bit : )

I have an accompanying meme for my GM post, but that's a tomorrow thing. Tonight I'll try to get some rest.

I am trying to leave some wiggle room for how the mission progresses based on how your characters react to orders from your NMX superiors, so be sure to understand that your choices (or lack thereof) affect what we're doing/ the plot!
 
Hmmm, I don't know how clear it is so I wanna let everyone know the groups:
"Holding Pen" location has William and Sif along with Gles' extra NMX character Hihja.
The "Armory" location includes Aiko, Hoshi, Rio, and Molli.

I knew we'd be splitting up and that's why we've been using location tags this mission ^0^ We used to have location tags every mission (we'd split up more, too!)
For those in the holding pen I didn't write for your area because I wanted to see what you'd do first. Eventually I'll have something for Sif, though!
