YSS Ryujo, Gantry
Noa seemed a bit lost in the crowd gathered around the Chusa, but she was used to that. Her size actually worked to her advantage more times than it didn't by her figuring. She noted his orders and gave a quick greeting bow to the XO as Kakeru did so, then started lifting off from his shoulder where she had been riding once they had entered the ship.
"Oh, it was my pleasure. Just looking out for my new buddy, you know? Let me know if you need any other good ideas. It's my job! " grinned the mini-Nekovalkyrja back to the hunter, as she already was scheming her next move when they saw each other next time. As he ran off to claim his chosen space she waved at the Hei with an encouraging, "Mata ne, Shinozaki-kun!" and then reached up quickly to make sure her tiny service cap didn't blow away in his anti-gravity wake. That country boy certainly was focused...
YSS Ryujo, Deck 3
Amatsukaze-hei was no less focused in where she wanted to put down her roots, though. Huffing along with her little medical kit backpack, she zipped along steadily through the zero-g passageways that seemed almost like giant tunnels to her. One time she even did a little loop-de-loop across the ceiling to dodge some of the other crew that were heading to their own destinations on Deck 3. While Kakeru worried about the infantry groups in the belly of the beast of a ship on Deck 7 -- a huge journey for someone her size! -- her target instead was the much closer domain of the Red Panels, namely the engineering section. There were 25 crew cabins here and she just had to get the one closest to what she considered the only place on this gigantic cruiser worth her effort -- the MEGAMI computer room.
Fortunately for her, the cabin before the blast shutter doors that led to that sacred place was not as in demand as some of the cooler ones -- sure, everyone wanted to be close to the galley or dining hall, post office, or even their maintenance stations in life support or engineering. Noa even passed some other technicians getting into an altercation over it! Nope, it seemed nobody wanted to put up a fight for that lonely place near the end of the hall that was noisy, hotter than most, and even subjected to electromagnetic pollution from all the power hungry electronics that were only one bulkhead away. Of course, as she stepped into the empty room, the little Information Technology junkie could feel all those software and hardware vibes and soaked it up like a sponge, hopping up on the huge bunk bed and dropped her luggage with a tiny *fwump* before she reclined alongside it, sinking into the fabric. "Ahhh..."
There was another reason her tired body could think of why this place was nice... it was only a short trek up to the galley for the meeting with the Chusa.
