Kyoto, Yamatai -- The Yamatai Star Empire's department of foreign affairs held a press conference today to announce that it received a message from the local government of UX-3 III. Previously claimed by Yamatai in YE 35, the UX-3 star system was lost in the Kuvexian Invasion of YE 41. Rather than annex the system as part of the Interstellar Kingdom of Kuvexia, the Kuvexian military has reportedly allowed the Kuvexian Corporations to claim the star system as a neutral territory and set up a colony called Sood Zadra on the surface of the third planet. In order to demonstrate its neutrality, the system has said that any civilian ships will be allowed to visit the system and trade freely there, including those from Yamatai and Nepleslia...

SANDRA reporters have just found out the 8th Fleet is being mobilized for intense operations in the Samurai Sector. With great fan fair the flagship YSS Hokorimasu has slipped its moors from the Valentine system along side the rest of the 8th fleet to begin more intense patrol missions against the Kuvexian threat. Though the sector has been so far spared from the fighting SAINT has report renewed activity in the captured KETSURUI Military Sector. Some sources point this to be a renewed offensive against the empire and as such Star Army again urges caution for all Civilian traffic due to a possibility of further incursions into the Empires territory. Jiyuu III First Expeditionary Fleet Command Early morning announcements out of the Office of Taisho Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko brought a much needed refreshing dose of good news to the Star Army of Yamatai after months of heavy losses on the fronts with the Kuvexians. The Taisho charged by Mistress Taisho Ketsurui Yui with the rebuilding of the First Expeditionary Fleet reported this morning that the first two hundred and fifty warships have finished production at Gemini and Leo Star Fortresses, including the fleet's new flagship the YSS Tokyo, NF-X1-001. Katsuko praised the contracted workers through the partnership between Yugumo Corporation and Ketsurui Fleet Yards for keeping construction queues for the bulk of the fleet moving...

YSS Eucharis, Taiie Nebula – A routine patrol for Kuvexian infiltrators close to Core Yamatai discovered a weak distress signal in the Western Lonely Expanse. Promptly dispatching the Eucharis, the crew discovered a disabled shuttle on an asteroid housing a surviving Nekovalkyrja who had been in cryostasis since YE29. The formerly Missing-in-Action soldier, from the 5th Expeditionary Fleet, is in stable condition and convalescing aboard. The soldier was in possession of scientific data from the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet's mission to the now-destroyed star system Taiie, providing hope that its species were not all lost. Taurus Star Fortress -- After receiving random salvage from Second Chance Salvage Company, a Star Army soldier used her gifts to thwart enemy forces. Ittô Hei Aera Maren, a clerk currently assigned as a communications secretary for Taurus Star Fortress, received a powerful anti-matter NAM UMD munition and wanted to find a use for it. As the Kikyo Sector has been overrun by pirates and scavengers working for the Kuvexian Kingdom, she decided to donate her winnings to the war effort. With the help of her EOD coworkers on the station, Aera successfully converted an old scrap-pile escape pod into an explosive booby trap.
