Just giving you guys a heads up, I'm making some major changes to the way the wiki is organized:

• Due to the number of factions overrunning the root namespace, there's now a faction namespace where most factions are going to go. Large and active factions may be excluded, at least for now, except for their index pages, which will go in the faction namespace too. Example: faction:yamatai_star_empire

Hey Star Army!

In order to reduce the amount of work I have to do keeping up with styles, particularly older ones, I'm planning on retiring some of our older forum styles that are not used much, starting next month. These are the styles I plan to remove:

• Flexile Dark
• Lex's Theme
• Holiday Winter (But I will wait until the new year for this one)
• UI.X Halloween (disabled only)

This would make the remaining selection:

• Star Army Tactical
• The Ghost Nebula
  • Yui's...

I hope you enjoyed all the special events we've had, leading up to today! We did an art contest, a thread necromancer event that reignited a lot of great discussions and suggestions, a player feedback thread, a salvage getaway, and a trick or treat thread, plus for the first time, Star Army had a special Halloween theme to get people in the spirit!

So thank you to everyone who hosted an event or participated. Making posts and participating is what makes this...

 

The server needs to go on a diet, lol. Due to high disk-space usage, I'm making some tweaks to the site to slow down the amount of disk space the site is using.

Here's a non-comprehensive list:

• Reduced max file upload size from about 20 MB to 12 MB
• Keep less copies of automated backups of the forum
• Dropped support for non-English languages on the wiki
• Working on clearing out orphan media files on the wiki (also trying to find a way to find and remove duplicates)

As Halloween Approaches, dead threads have begun to rise from their graves!

For the rest of the month, you have the admin's blessing to find old setting discussion threads and "gravedig" them by posting something new in them. It doesn't matter if they're from 2015 or even 2005, drag them up! Unchain the ghosts of the past!

Once you "necro" some old threads, post them in this thread. The player with the most gravedig activity will get a choice of $50 in PayPal cash or a high-end character...
