Okay, so this is kind of a grab bag of notes from your friendly webmaster to keep you informed of what's going on. On October 25th, our site traffic drastically rose. This wasn't because we got a video made about us by Spacedock or The Templin Institute or were linked on Reddit, it was a rush of mysterious bot traffic from Singapore that increased traffic by over 40%, slowing down the server and causing intermittent outages. We also ran out of disk space. In response, I shelled out the cash...

 

Hey Star Army!

Nakshatra offered to assist running the site by volunteering to be a character approval moderator for looking at members' newly submitted characters. The staff consulted and unanimously agreed she'd be a great addition to the team. Nakshatra joined in 2022 and already has been a huge help for me assisting me with Star Army orders threads - making sure we gave every Star Army character a chance for a promotion. Please welcome Nakshatra to the mod team!

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I regret to inform you of the passing of Star Army administrator @Nashoba, who suffered a fatal aneurysm, as reported by his son Andrew to me via phone call.



This was a really rough time in his life. In January, he lost his long-term roommate James. In May, Nashoba's wife Kim recently passed away unexpectedly. When she got sick I started a GoFundMe to help her, and Star Army members along with...
