OOC YSS Kaiyō II Discussion

I couldn't find stimpacks in the wiki, so it's a non-descript vial of red liquid that Sif doesn't recognize but maybe the Kaiyo veterans might.
We can probably make this happen. What faction needs stimpacks?

Make sure to post soon as Wes is doing activity check and we might be on the chopping block!

Just really quick. We're talking about "stimpacks" as shorthand here, but what we're really going for as a need is some kind of analgesic first aid delivered through a HypoPen-style injector. Right? I don't think anyone wants to load Molli up with stimulants in this situation.

She got the pain medication to help her body relax, but not a stim pack. She doesn't need that right now, no. If it was a "keep fighting who needs an arm" moment then sure! But we can take care of her (probably).

BTW I know it's Saturday and everyone is probably too busy to post, but it will be the last round of posting in this thread! I don't even know if I'll post again in it! So it would be a good opportunity to give your character a moment to reflect on the mission before a major timeskip.

We'll be back on Urtullan to fight these mecha and everyone will get the opportunity to customize their character's own prototype mecha a bit through RP! I wanted to write a mecha training montage but I just couldn't wrap my head around it, so everyone's first post will need to summarize how they've done in training the past two months or so (Aiko will be our instructor teaching us how to control the Thought System!) and what they did on their down time while on an Izanagi class starship. I might have @raz start that thread : )

So look forward to that new thread early next week! But for now, I will be excited for any wrap up posts!

I don't know if I actually did but okay 😂
Only if you make it off the truck! No stolen valor!

dw, there will be opportunities to nab one of these beauts in the future when life gives you more time for us here on kaiwow :3

I wrote a huge RP post so I won't say much here! @raz @Gunhand4171 @Sunny D @Gles @krisslanza @SensualCoder @Nameless and now welcoming @Megabirb, new mission/thread. It's a bit of a continuation as far as threat. Understand that what you do/how you customize your mecha beyond what I described in the thread is fair game. Customize on the fly as RP progresses.

My third paragraph I tried to do a recap of what they and Hoshi have been doing the past couple months. Try to do the same for your individual characters. How did they spend their days on a new, huge ship? How did they do in training? etc etc. Just give a bit of thought into those parts of your characters daily lives during this time and let your first post really expound on them. I wanted to do a training montage but apparently that's hard to write except in screenwriting : /

Nameless- Sif got a double promotion between then and now, but we haven't had the time to write orders for her!

That's strange. It used to be "up to a maximum of two ranks" for the longest time. Koga Akemi, for example, was promoted from Santo Hei to Itto Hei in one go. That's the quickest example I could find but there are many more.

Sif's technically been part of two missions (one in the background because the JP chronologically happened before they joined OOC but after they joined IC) and participated in two threads. So it should be fine to wrap both of those up in a single orders post and still follow the newer regs, imo. "Credit for time in service" and all that.

What I'm saying is the way it works is: You are advanced one rank at a time, and there's a waiting period before you can advance to the next rank. It's specifically designed to stop double promotions. I can't give an exact date of when the policy changed, but according to the wiki's history logs (looking at the page on promotions), it was 2018 (when I created the page), or possibly earlier. If you want to do some sort of backdating in the orders threads, and it makes sense chronologically, that's okay to do.

Last time I did a double promotion it was 2017 and I just never received word the rule had changed, I suppose. Alright, don't want to go against the rules. There's only been two or so months time in-between missions so we'll keep it at a single promotion for now.

Sorry @Nameless. The reasoning was that she went above and beyond and out of her way several times this mission. Thanks for doing that and I wish I could find a way to reward it a bit in-character.

We can just set a reminder and promote her again when the new month rolls around! That's what I usually do, I got a sort of "promote as soon as possible" list.

We don't know if she does well or not this mission! If she doesn't, I mean...!

Don't fumble the bag now that the cat's been let out of it, Sif! Heehee
