OOC 4th Fleet OOC Thread

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

Well, I was thinking of using 1/8 of a brick at a time to blow open doors rather than a full brick to bring down the roof, but I'll bow to your wisdom sarge. I guess we can threaten the Nekos with being sealed behind tons of rock with a hungry mushu some other day.

Also, we had a discussion here about how, in theory at least, smoke grenades are useful if used in concert with DARTs and the Noisemaker system to blind Nekos and Mushu for long enough to get a couple marines through a choke point. I could bring a few along if you think they'd be useful. If nothing else, you can always try and panic them with the threat of a mine fire.

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

Gah! I ran out of time for today and now need to go to bed for work in the morning.
I will have a post up for 5.3 and 5.5 tomorrow.
Sorry for the wait peeps. :?

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

Well Kev, doors are not such a trouble when yo uare in Power Armour, you kick down most of them. Other can be forced open or you have your vibro knife. Not to mention Laura is in VOID and that has fusion cutter. So doors that would be deal with 1/8 RX_33 brick can be as easily dealt with your foot.

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

Yeah, but when you explode a door a) you open it a lot more quickly than with even a fusion cutter and b) you disorient and potentially wound the enemies on the other side of the door. I am forgoing the explosives this time around, but they're still useful even for relatively normal doors.

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

But boots are more awesome. ANd neps likes to resolve thins with swift kicks, whether it is someone face or a door-knob

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

I have realized a glaring oversight. I forgot to describe the topography of the area. This is the only wiki stuff on it that I have found. Therefore, I am going to simply say that you're looking at fairly sparse terrain features.

Some slight undulation of the ground but basically, I've been imagining it as a giant red dirtball. Sort of like if we had a Mars that had barely breathable air. Barren, desolate and you should see everything coming for miles. Unless I get tricky, at which point, I would advise our veterans to remember the lessons learnt from 87I. Don't knock over Henry Morris while he's working.

I'm morbidly curious. What exactly happened at 87I?

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

Knock the squad leader and engineer over, I dare you. What follows might involve the Drei wiping your porn stash or Junker drones wrapping the contents of your entire room in tin foil - after its been completely disassembled!

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

Keep in mind that NAM has injectors in the power armors and squad leaders can control them. Just saying.

Re: [4th AASP] OOC Thread

Whelp, downside is that my 40K game did't run. Upside, I got drunk and watched The Big Lebowski with my mates.
