GM POST

With Freyja handled for now Misato started going over her Mindy again, along with the weapons that she uses. It was her standard load out, but with on;y one thing changed. She had a report sent to her from the Captain, informing her to work with the Armory Officer to make sure certain things were taken care of, and then pretend the order hadn't come. She had liked where it was going but wasn't sure how long it would be able to work. Even with the doubts she went to work and even before the wayward Hei had come in she had spoken to the Armory officer and made sure certain things were in place, along with checking and modifying each of the PAs in the bay.

Now though she was just keeping her hands busy and mind busier, so she didn't think about the fact this was her first mission as an officer. the thought terrified her and she was nervous, to such a point she had skipped eating again and was fighting a mild tremor in her right arm, the one that she had lost. She had given thought to heading up to to the med bay, but that voice was strangled down by Misato's over strengthened drive for duty.

Even as she worked and worried she kept an eye on the new Hei, Freyja, she had decided, would be kept close to her, so she could make sure the Hei was on the ball and not off getting herself hurt. Mission first, Team second, everything else last. It was how she was going to try to view this mission.

Bridge
~~~~~
With the mental clock clicking past 0700, Saeko sighed and looked around the bridge, Most of the rest of the Bridge Bunnies were filing in to their various stations, but still no XO. The Captain shook her head, hoping the XO had so very good reason she was late to the bridge on such a day. With a mild frown she looked over the crew once more from her darkened area, took a sip of her coffee, then mental y ordered the lights on the whole of the bridge to be brought up to standard running levels.
Standing she addressed the whole of the bridge crew. "Good Morning, Let's great this day with the duty and honor it requires. Helm please bring up the power to the main engines, along with bringing maneuvering thrusters on-line. Gunnery Please start working with the sensor crews to bring up a live status grid of current local traffic. Let us be about this."
She smiled and then sat back down and opened little volumetric screens that doubled the screens Helm, Gunnery, and a few other stations including the main screen down in engineering. Then once she had the screens in place she sent a mental message to Ise Nenene. "Where are you, and what are you doing?"
Jei nodded to the captain and went to work tapping at the sensor section of the console. He brought up the ship's sensors to bear on the local traffic, then requested traffic from traffic control and the sensor crews before turning his head halfway towards the captains chair, "We'll be good on departure as long as we are flagged as Naval Traffic." He looked back to the console to monitor for any changes in traffic. His face turned from relaxed to focused on the console, with a slight stern frown while staring sharply at the traffic readouts.
Elina grew bored of waiting and then took off down the corridor as the ship took on a more serious tone as crew became more precise in their activity. She stayed out of their way as she moved about the ship, learning the labyrinthine ways of the ship's corridors and locations for each section.
Coming across the gym aboard the ship, Elina smiled at what it offered in a way of exercise equipment. She scampered through the ship back to her quarters.
Once there, she looked through her stuff, for an exercise outfit. She frowned that she forgot to buy new outfits to replace what she had lost. Setting on a mini-skirt, halter-top for now till she could sweet-talk the Quarter Master out of a exercise uniform.
Nenene stepped out of the inky shadows, coming up beside the Captain's chair. She had just returned to the ship and had come directly to the YSS Soyokaze's command center. "All secondary departments and systems set for departure" she said, offering Saeko a data pad. "I was held up with duties at the local SAINT office. I will try not to make a habit of it", she reported back via wireless transmission to her commander.
After handing over the tablet, Nenene moved to her station, forward and below the command chair and brought up her vast array of volumetric windows she usually surrounded herself with when she was on the bridge and not plugged into SPINE.
Freyja stood in front of the armor that would now be designated as hers with what apeared to be a mildly annoyed, and disapointed frown. Over all this wasn't going that great, and the things she had trained in the most, one being the origin guass rifle, were either unavailible or being flat out denied to her. She could understand it, given the circumstances, but she was taught to either keep her enemy beyond far away, or close enough to touch them given her more personalized training, and she didn't think she'd be getting a blade after being denied her bread and butter.
She sighed and pushed her greviences to the side, looking around and gathering equipment, begining to slap together a loadout using a teleport module, two guass cannons, and thigh capacitors. She would use what she could get a hold of for now. She would definetely prove that she was good enough for what she wanted.
Throughout all of this she did notice Misato eyeing her for whatever reason. The red eyed neko pretended like she didn't notice, but she could feel that something was up with Misato. she seemd a bit fidgety, but maybe that was just how she was all the time. Freyja had barely even met her really. Throughout all of this, her frowned deepened into a slightly worried expression as she thought about the combat drop Misato was alking about. Freyja had never been in actual, live combat before, it would be a new... expereince to be sure. She just hoped she didn't get herself killed in her first combat mission like an idiot, or somone else on her squad.
She took a breath and muttered under her breath."Allright... calm down Freyja, you're pretty much an assassin in the making, you can handle whatever they throw at you."
Herdis had been getting her station set up before the Chusa stepped forward to start getting things ready to go. She was now settled in a console that was made for her size with controls similar to the main ones that was linked directly. At the request of the Chusa, Herdis redirected power and monitored the levels, being sure not to be too quick, but at the same time not taking too long. Once things were as requested, she piped up, "Engines at full and ready!"
Clerk's Office
Finally finishing off the last items, Hotaru sent the report up to the captain for review before starting into the remainder. A few new items came in however, and that meant reorganizing some into proper priority.
The clerk soon heard the door open, something clattered onto the pile around her, then the door closed again. The cadet's eyes opened with some worry; however it seemed she had been left unnoticed. Of course she wondered whether or not she should have gotten up to see whom it was; but they did not seem in need of actually locating her.
Science Lab
With things still getting put away, Chieko again had a look at how her cultures were doing. She had plans, and they were central to them.
As the Door to the armory hissed open the Nepleslian known as Riko Bors begrudgingly made his way in. He was a bit miffed with Apricot and her weapon problem, a small charge capacitor no working but he was more distracted by the Hei-network a buzz with the word of a combat drop coming. Not wanting to be caught with his pants down Bors went to go do a rundown on his MCAS.
"Having a great cadet day?" He called out to his partner in crime Misato as he saw her while taking his armor down off of its holster, "Or are you having a date here with your new friend?". As he spoke he glanced over at Freyja that he barely noticed out the corner of his eye.
Misato looked up to see her friend and old drinking partner walk in. "Oh the things you'll do..." The Cadet responded as she thought of the hours of courses and studying she had ahead of her. "Good times... I think I got an hour of sleep last night between reports, studying, and briefings." She sighed and then looked over at Frejya. "Well we were just chatting about the facts of life around here. Weren't we?" She asked the Hei with a almost friendly smile.
Freyja, for the most part, stayed focused on the task of completeing her loadout on the Mindy until the Nepleslian arrived, saying something along the lines of dating, followed by Misato speaking up herself.
The Hei flicked her red eyes between the pair for a moment before nodding and saying" Y-yeah, facts of life and all its consequences." After a short moment she started busying herself with getting the leg capacitors attached properly. She was already getting used to the people aboard the Soyokaze and its general atmosphere, and Misato's normally more aggressively cold attitude, but meeting new people, and social things in general, still made her uncomfortable.
Elina stomped her foot in frustration as her exploration was limited due to the fact she was a civilian on a warship. She made her way back to the lounge or mess hall wardroom, what ever you want to call it. She entered the room and looked it over to see where the best place to set up her equipment.
"well please don't make it a habit." Saeko responded to Nenene's answer of where she had been. "First officer please verify that the ship is ready for launch, then bring us out of dock and take us to the edge of the system." The Captain spoke calmly as if it was as simple as pulling a car from a parking slip. The ship itself hummed and vibrated from all of the energy it's reactor systems were generating. It was as if the ship itself was shaking with excitement to be off again.
Through out the ship crew were making final preparations and signaling the bridge that they were secured for launch. One of the last lights on the bridge panel was the fighter decks, they had been delayed with a faulty engine coil, they thought they might have needed to push out of the ship. But even the fighter decks lite up green.
"I will try not to" Nenene replied over wireless. "Yes, Captain" She said out loud, her eyes scanning her volumetric displays, double checking all the information on them. "We are ready to depart" she confirmed.
Nenene signaled the dock, requesting permission to depart and that all mooring beams be released. "Departure clearance granted" she announced a minute later, "Moorings disengaged" she added and glanced forward to the operator. "Take us out, helm" she directed.
"Well if i'm interrupting anything just let me know." The large nepleslian said with a smirk, he knew chances are that nothing was going on but he loved to prod at the nekos.
"Though one thing cadet," he said not looking away from his Power Armour. "Rumor has it that theres a combat drop, is that on track or are we just doing some busy work here?"
Armory
"You're not interrupting anything..." Misato rolled her eyes and almost stuck her tongue out at him. "As for your rumors... I hope you aren't spreading them... I would hate to have to have you do push ups and scrub toilets..." She rolled her eyes. "But since when do we ship out with out something ahead?"
She turned and winked at him before dropping the her bench and started stripping and cleaning her favorite gun.
"You'd be surprised," Bors said looking up and returning the wink, "Was just trying to get rid of the bug in my ear is all."
As he adjusted and fitted the weapons on his MCAS he looked over at the new neko he hadn't seen before.
"I take it you're new here?" he said leaning up against the MCAS, "Heisho Bors Riko, pry gonna be shooting things with you sometime soon, so might as well know your name."
The Neko looked back up and said "Santô Hei Freyja Horikoshi... I'm about as new as can be, 'fresh out of the tubes' as a few people put it."
As she talked she kept working to some degree, getting the capacitor attatched and deciding she should probably clean the guass cannons before setting them up on the shoulders, setting to work on that task.
"So um, you two seem pretty close, how long have you known eachother?"
Science Lab
As Chieko ran the team through a few last securing checks, a few indicators changed and the Minkan paused. "Well, looks like we're about to get moving," the scientist commented, "Here's hoping things work out better for us this time."
Herdis nodded and responded, "Aye, Chusa." She took a steady breath and then used her teeny, tiny controls to maneuver a really massive ship, her controls basically manipulating the 'normal sized' ones. She eased the ship away from the dock, being sure not to knock into anything else, or at least trying her best not to! She was rather excited to be getting to do this for the first time on her own!
Once they were clear, she eased into traffic and sped the ship up a bit to get them out of range of the port itself. She then aimed towards their new destination and raised the engine levels to match the speed needed to get there in the time required.
The ship slipped it confines of the space station for the last time. She was off to her new home among Task Force 77. slowly it backed out and then turned towards the system's edge. Sector control had opened a window in the traffic to allow the ship to move without worry of ramming anything smaller. Slowly at first as if she was trying to shake off the chains of rest the Soyokaze slid though the vacuum, ever picking up speed. As soon as she was up to the standard cruising speed Saeko Looked over the displays before standing.
She depressed a button that opened Volumetric screens through out the whole of the ship, showing her standing there proudly on the bridge. "This is your Commander: Chusa Kuroiairisu Saeko, We are now currently underway to the edge of the system, Once we reach a safe position we will be making a jump to our new home port to join up with the rest of our Task Force. Once we arrive we will be spending a few hours in orbit of Mevar. I will be briefed by our new Task Force Commander and then we should be ready to leave with the rest of the ship to our first mission as a group. I expect nothing but the best of the crew and hard work all around. We are a Ship of the Empire and We shall show what that means. That is all Please prep for FTL jump." She let a little smile grow just before she closed the channel and sat back down.
"Miss Ise Please have the helm prep for FTL and once we have arrived at the system's edge, make for the Mevar system at full speed." She looked at the SAINT XO for a moment before letting her black orbs return to the ship systems displays before her.
