"So, because we're androids, we aren't alive?" Yoroko asked. After a brief pause Yoroko turned her head to face Noboru, the tears on her face had dried. "I don't want to hear that bullshit Noboru, after 8 years I refuse to believe that my sisters aren't alive." Yoroko said.

"Sorry. Gynoid. Android is the male version. And that's the only stages. I guess I kinda forgot." He sighed and put a hand on his knee, leaning his head forward and sighing. One eye closed, the other wide open behind his remaining lens, he looked almost like he was winking. More like wincing, though.

"I overdid. I've been like this ever since 18. It seems like the Nekovalkyrja get everything and the Yamataians always end up with the short end of the stick. I mean, look at me. I went from one body to another in 18 years because of these god-damn eyes and I have never seen one Nekovalkyrja with any sort of genetic illness. I just don't see that as 'fair'. So I dug at the next possible thing. Of course, only half of me thinks about it as much as it does." He spat out a bit more blood, staining the grass and his t-shirt.

Yoroko looked at Noboru's injuries, her random bits of hair sticking to her dried tears. "Your hemosynth should take care of this in no time, it doesn't look too bad." Yoroko said, her face blocking the sun in front of Noboru's face. "And I don't care what you call them, they aren't machines." Yoroko said, "They are as alive as you are." Looking at the Yamataian in front of her Yoroko thought about what events had transpired so far.

Kiyoshi debated grabbing a second sword, but figured that doing so against someone as experienced as Kai would get himself killed. He led the two outside to an open area with a big lawn and bushes around the perimeter. The morning sky shown on the field and the dew created sparkles on the lawn. Once the two were ready, Kiyoshi ran for an upper strike attacking Kai, while watching his other opponents through the side of his eye.

The strike went wide, Kai brushing it off easily. The unsuspecting Kiyoshi slipped on the wet grass, crashing to the grond. Kai, though the superior fencer, was also brought to the floor in a combination of wet grass and his opponent's momentum. Kai made out the better of the two, however, landing on top. It was quite a comical scene, and a bit of a blow to the blonde Yamataian's pride.

Devonus had been walking around outside hoping to catch the eye of a couple of the neko recruits, but unfortunately it seemed many of them had headed of base for their R and R. He did however have the fortune of stumbling upon Kai and Kiyoshi's little match in time to see the bumbling spectacle of them both following on the ground in a tangled mess.

He laughed as he approached Yuril, smiling and laughing at the pair on the ground.

"One thing they forget to mention before you join the army is that combat isn't always graceful and well formed, sometimes it ends up like that."

He pointed to Kai and Kiyoshi on the ground. He noted the training sword in Yuril's hands and smiled.

"So why aren't you sparring? I'll go a round with you if you're interested, though considering my lack of a weapon we will have to go hand to hand, beautiful"

She was quite good looking, though Devonus had yet to find an ugly Neko, and any chance to fight and flirt with a Neko at the same time was a good chance.

Yuril, ever the polite one, did her best to restrain breaking out in laughter. She could've done it easily, but for the sake of appearing more 'normal' she only managed to prevent laughing outloud but an obvious grin was on her face as she covered her mouth with her hand to hide it.

"Ideally a sword fight would be more graceful then that but... Well, people make mistakes.", the neko smiled and blushed slightly, she paused to brush some rogue strands of hair out of her eyes, "Well it's just if I joined it, it might not be much of a challenge unless I hold back a bit... I suppose it's the downside to being a Nekovalkryja. It's tough for anyone else to give you a good challenge on equal footing."

Kiyoshi got up and brushed the mud off his uniform. The morning lawn was probably not the best time to fight, but there was little choice on location. "I won't let that happen again!" Kiyoshi said to himself. He lunged towards Kai to close the distance and sent a slash aimed for his chest.

With his luck, Kai would be distracted by Devonus's appearance and not reverse the strike. Not that Kiyoshi was a bad swordsman. He studied it for a while back at home, but didn't have the time to stick with it for more then a year. He did not know how good Kai was, so his best bet would be to stay cautious.

Hearing not only the sounds of combat, but the sounds of bodies hitting the ground and raised voices, Kumiko set down her pen, sighed, and set her stuff aside. It they hurt each other fighting I will hurt them. She then stood up and walked to the doorway, in search of whoever was making the racket, with bodily harm on the mind.

"Okay, okay, I get it. Heart and blood equals living. Sure, okay. Can you just get me to the medical wing? I think I need to get ahold of some painkillers and my replacement lens." Noboru sighed and spat out the last of the blood in his mouth.

"You missed the point, having blood and a heart isn't what makes someone alive, its who they are." Yoroko said as she stood up and helped Noboru to his feet. "Let's get you to the infirmary then." Yoroko said as they walked toward the nurses office.

The fight wasn't strting off well for either combatant. As Kiyoshi predicted, Kai was distracted, but not by devonus. Instead he was distracted by Yuril's laughter. That left Kai on the gound and at a disadvantage. he did, however, manage to get a foot up and plant it in his opponent's chest, stopping his motion and most of his momentum. The arms, however, continued to move, and Kai was rewarded with a square blow to the chest, though not as hard as it could have been.

Using the transferred momentum from stopping Kiyoshi, Kai rolled back and out of the way, taking up a defensive stance so he could get his breath back and hide any embarrasment he felt. Kiyoshi was beginning to look more cautios, but a good enemy could fake that easily. Kai had to remain at the ready.

"Yes you Nekos tend to be stronger then the average human, but i'm a Yamataian, and i've fought stronger opponents before and defeated them. You just need to focus on the combat at hand."

He looked over to see Kai get back to his feet after a blow to the chest, and smiled. He had wanted to duel Kai since the training excersize, but it looked like he would have to wait.

He took a step back from Yuril and smiled, he didn't know if he could take a Neko, but he was going to try like hell.

"Do me a favor and don't hold back, first time Fighting a Neko and I never know when i just might tick one off, so a first hand experiance of their power would be a great learning experiance."

He pulled a hair tie from his pocket and tied his blond hair back into a pony tail to keep it out of his eyes. He quickly discarded his jacket to the one side away from the area. He took a quick beath and focused on his inner fire, it didn't burn as bright seeing as he wasn't in real combat and didn't want to hurt the neko, but it flared slightly at the thought of the oncoming challenge.

When he opened his eyes they were slightly narrower, but not the cold distant blue of what had been his eyes when fighting the Mishu. He firmly planted his feet and lifted his arms in a traditional Yamataian defensive stance.

"When you'r ready"

"Well... If you say so then."

The neko stuck the training sword, in spite of it's wooden blade, into the dirt. She slid herself into her own fighting stance, as she took a breath.

"Very well then. Don't say I didn't..."

With startlingly agility, already far above a normal human, and the ability to control her own inertia Yuril quickly closed the distance between the two in a motion that really just made it look like she glided all the way over. With a blow aimed for Devonus's chest she finished her sentence.

"Warn you!"

Kumiko chuckled a bit, seeing Kai and Noboru both attempting to recover. "Silly boys." She then went out, and settled down to watch Yuril and Devonus go at it.

Kiyoshi huffed. "This is getting ridiculous." Looking over in Yuril and Devonus's direction, he eyed Yuril's sword and ran to it, grabbing it in his other hand. He tossed the one in his right hand up in the air and caught it facing the other way. His left hand held a sword facing forward, while his right held it facing back.

His previous attempts of an attack had not gone well, so he motioned Kai to lead the offensive.

Devonus had not the time to completely block the blow, but he managed to get his body positioned so the hit would have minimum success. The attack had left his opponent open, but the window of opportunity would be a small one.

An attendant at the medical wing helped Yoroko carry Noboru to a hemosynthetic tank. His injuries were not severe, so it would not take long. The nurse showed Yoroko a nearby chair if she choose to wait.

"Hmm, So it's gonna be like that?" Kai said, smirking a bit. He fiddled with his grip on the wooden katana in his hands, getting it just right. Slowly, he began to walk forwards towards Kiyoshi, then suddenly broke into a run, jumping a few feet away, and using his gravity manipulation to give him a few extra feet of air before bringing his blade down from above. The ploy worked, to an extent, and Kiyoshi was unable to bring his two weapons up in time to completely block the hit, instead knocking it into a square hit on the shoulder. Kai was now, however, very open to attack, as he flew by a few inches from Kiyoshi's blade.

"Ummm... sure? I don't usually fight, but I'll spar you." Kumiko thought to herself I'll lose horribly, but oh well. She then glanced around, and noted that there were no swords left to use. "We'll have to fight hand-to-hand though, unless of course you have extra swords."
