“Nice to meet you Yoriko,” Saito nodded “I am indeed from Yamatai, the city of Tania, where are you from?” Saito smiled at the thought of a fellow trainee from her home planet.

Saito watched the bus arrived and stood up slowly. She grabbed hold of her bag and nodded at Yori’s response of the bus. Saito fallowed her towards the bus and onto the bus. “The front of the bus sounds fine,” she responded to Yori’s offer.

Still spacing out, Osaka mumbled, "Yoriko, sounds like a cute name..." She started to remember a kawaii someone in the neighborhood had and some of the fun they shared. She blinked suddenly at the mention of the bus she seem to panic and got up really fast forgetting about the gravity and tripping over her bag again.

After recovering from her fall, she followed behind the two other girls onto the bus.

“Nice, nice,” Yori replied, noting the taller woman was following along while the Neko, Osaka, lagged behind, stumbling about by the benches. Paying the Gynoid no mind, Yori made a beeline for the bus, “Ah, me? From a tiny little town near Flames on the west coast, good beaches, windy roads, pretty close knit,” Yori said, answering Michi-san’s earlier question with a nod as she reached the bus. The stocky recruit tromped up the steps a bit behind the soldier who appeared to be in charge of the recruits.

Choosing the first row of seats along the left side of the vehicle, - across the aisle from the soldier’s seat - Yoriko scootched over to the window seat. This left the two seats to her right free for Saito and, more than likely, Osaka, who seemed to have recovered quickly enough from her tumble and followed along. Though it made sense to Yori, she felt it best to ask the pair anyway, “Er, you want the window seat? Or am I good?” she asked, looking up at the two, before quickly placing her duffel bag upon her lap in preparation for a quick seat change.

Sure now that he looked the part of an instructor (if a bit much like a samurai), Aendri nodded. "That sounds like a good enough plan to me. Did you have anything specific planned, or more specifically what you want me to do? Bad cop good cop, or what?"

"Alright, lets hit the road!" The bus pulled away from the landing area and started its bumpy journey to the academy. "Remember people, you're soldiers now, you're in the military. As of right now you had better start acting like it." The soldier glared around the bus as he said this. "When we arrive everyone is to step off of the bus and make a single file line off to the side. And for the love of god, do it fast and do it right! You don't want to upset your new owners on day one."

------------------------

"Meh, doesn't matter to me. My job is to educate these people and that's what we'll do. Just make it up as you go." Ramiro led Aendri across the parade field to the front gate. He glanced down at his comm to check the time. "Well go figure, the bus should be arriving right about...now." Just then the bus could be seen pulling around a corner of trees. Ramiro put on a pair of uno sunglasses that he had so kindly received for new years. "Alright, it's hammer time."

Saito nodded to Yori’s answer of her home and looked quietly and a little worried at Osaka. “You okay?” She gave a slight motherly smile towards her as she sat down next to Yori and placed her bag at her feet to give more room for the Neko to sit down next to them if she liked. “You can have the window I am good either way.” She added to answer Yori’s question.

In hearing the solider Saito fell silent and watched him as he spoke. She nodded to every command and kept detailed notes on what would be needed of her in a few minutes from now. She repeated a few times to keep it straight.

Aendri nodded, quickly smoothing his face into what he called his 'business face'. It had served him well in the military, but had done wonders in the civilian world, helping him hide his emotions. He then folded his hands inside his sleeves, and took up a XO's position, slightly behind and to the side of Ramiro, to await the disembarkation of the new recruits.

~~~
Shortly after he did that, the bus pulled to a stop in front of the pair, with the doors opening and the soldier in charge stepping smartly off of the bus, saluting to Aendri and Ramiro before stepping aside to let the new students disembark.
The bus pulled through the gates and up to the edge of the parade field. It turned and stopped just about 15 feet away from the two instructors. Upon exiting the bus the recruits would see a really built looking, brown-haired Yamataian, arms folded and sunglasses on. Just behind him and to the side was a second, leaner Yamatain with shaggy black hair, a sword at his waist, and arms folded into his sleeves. The one in front pointed about 10 feet away, yelling, "Line up ladies! 10, 9, 8..." Immediately recruits started scrambling their way off the bus and into a line, as the soldier had warned them earlier.
Saito grabbed her bag and swung it over her shoulder as she stood as soon as the bus stopped she quickly moved out of the bus and lined up quickly. She dropped her bag and her feet and stood up as straight as she could facing the two officers. Her hands to her side she waited quietly for her next orders to be told to her.
Osaka enjoyed the brief trip with the thoughts of possible adventures that would never come true. She pulled the bag in front of her and tossed it off the bus before focusing on going down the steps. After five seconds and maybe someone giving her a small push to hurry up and she trotted down the steps and landed like it was all planned out.
Looking proud of herself she picked up the bag and followed the others, namely the lady she met earlier though had forgot the name, though she was confident it would come back to her later.
"Alright!" Ramiro barked. "Welcome to Fort Ready! From this point on there shall be no whining, no complaining, no fighting unless I say so, no procrastinating, no doing things slowly, and you shall not, under any circumstances, be insubordinate. From this point on you have no friends, you have no family. Nobody loves you! You have me and you have him!" Ramiro pointed to Aendri as he said that last sentence. "My name is Nito Heisho Ramiro Valencia. You shall not address me by my first name! This is the military, from this point on it is either Valencia Heisho or just Heisho. This is my trusted associate Joto Hei Aendri Shasos'Shol! This rank is only honorary because he's not from this military, which means he has a much different standard of what is tolerated and what isn't. If you think I'm mean, he's worse. You see that nice sharp point object at his waist? He likes to use it! For the next 6 months, you belong to us! Are there any questions!?" Ramiro leaned over to Aendri and muttered, so the recruits couldn't hear. "Add in anything you'd like."
Aendri just about choked at Ramiro's introduction, but he carefully kept his face smooth, despite the fact he was just about dying inside. Not moving his lips (he hoped), he murmured back, "I think you covered everything pretty well." He did make a point of adjusting the sword on his belt though, since it looked like a couple of the recruits were already terrified of him, and he might as well have fun playing up the part. "We might want to start them off with a run, directly after letting them put their stuff away. For assessment purposes of course."
Saito stood still in the front row of soliders and watched Aendri with the sword on his side and wanted to smile. She was picturing a random trainie being beatened into submission by the man she knew it probably would happen at some point or another. She wait quietly for her next orders to be barked at her and for her to follow.
"Way ahead of you," Ramiro muttered back. "Alright! Since there are no questions..." He turned his back on the recruits and towards the main compound. "In front of me is the parade ground. Around it are such buildings as the fire station, motor pool, administration, medical, and many others that you can look up yourselves. At the opposite end is the courtyard where you will be spending most of your time at Fort Ready. On the sides of the courtyard are the school and mess hall. Opposite the parade ground is the barracks where you will be sleeping for the duration. It is roughly a half mile to the barracks at the opposite end. Dinner is being served right now and will stop being served in EXACTLY five minutes...GO!"
Osaka stood in line while listening to the officer silently, Wow he reminds me of Captain Hosuke Hues, I wonder if he has a soft cute side as well, the Neko thought while passively listening to her commander. When questions came around she thought about asking about food, but then when she heard about food she asked, "What are we..." then everyone began running.
"Wait... why is everyone running?" she asked as she ran with her bag in both hands and running in an awkward forward run with the bag held in front of her. Needless to say she might possibly not make it.
With that, it took just about all of his concentration for Aendri to not crack up. If anyone there had known better, they would have noticed in the way he gripped his belt that he was holding something in, though not what it was. "Not exactly what I had in mind, but that will serve the purpose quite well I expect. I take it we'll do inspection directly after dinner, just so they have another little panic and run?"
"I like the idea," Ramiro said, agreeing with Aendri. "I'm thinking after they're done eating we tell them inspection of their uniforms and bunk will be in 15 minutes. It will encourage them to put their stuff away." He glanced at the time on his comm and said, "And don't forget, dinner stops being served in five for us too." He walked over to the LUT he still had waiting by the front gate and hopped in, "Do you want to drive or shall I?"
"I like my vehicles flying, thank you. I think you can take this one just fine. And don't worry. If all else fails, I've been employed long enough to afford a meal or two on my own budget just fine." With that said, he opened the pasesnger side door and got in, shifting his sword as he did so to keep it out of the way.
"I like my vehicles flying too, but unfortunately command doesn't think it practical to give me a shuttle to go half a mile across campus." With that Ramiro started up the engine and took off towards the mess hall, dodging in and out of the recruits on the way. Once they got there Ramiro parked and looked down the road at the recruits still coming. "Well, first one's here." He walked in and looked at the menu:
"While I agree on the practicality of it, it would still be nice." Aendri followed Ramiro inside, and looked at the menu himself running his hand through his hair. "Hmm... now to try and guess which entree is least like barracks food. I've had more then enough of it." He scanned over the menu once more before making his decision, and getting himself a hamburger, side salad, and a glass of water. Once he had that, he paused to wait for Ramiro before seating himself.
