Ramiro calmly responded to the question, "Yes, in fact, it would. Obviously, the job would be much more effective with anti-armor weaponry, but it would work. The original intent of the simulation was to be forced to infiltrate the tankette, retrieve the EMP, and disable it or get it off the ship. I purposely did not provide anti-armor weaponry for a specific reason. There is one final lesson behind this simulation, and it's one of the most important lessons that you can learn as infantry. The loss of your life is insignificant as long as the mission is accomplished. Also, there is a secondary lesson of evaluating your objective. Something that all of you failed to realize was that eliminating the hostiles was a secondary objective, once the EMP came on the scene the primary objective was protecting the ship, whether the hostiles escape or not is insignificant if the ship is destroyed in the process. And back to the lesson about life, remember that losing your life is not important at all. Any Yamataians or Nekos will have memory backups, so losing your life doesn't matter as long as the objective is completed." Ramiro paused to let this sink in before continuing.
"Now, as every good instructor, I need to provide alternatives solutions for the simulation. Starting off with the potentiality that the assailant had made it into the tankette with the EMP, you guys were in the vehicle bay, and thus you could have gotten into a separate vehicle to disable the EMP. If worst comes to worst and there were 20 seconds left and no possibility of disabling the EMP, I would have instructed the bridge to prep hyperspace fold to any location, and opened the vehicle bay door, throwing you guys into the vacuum of space, and enabling the ship to get away. Yes, all of the equipment in the bay would have been lost, but the value of the vehicles is a lot less than that of the vehicles and the ship. Also, the moment they got into the vehicle, you should have alerted the bridge, and informed them of the situation, because they may have chosen to send additional personnel with anti-armor weaponry. This possibility wasn't an option due to the limited time, but there was always the possibility of going to the armory and getting heavier weapons. The point is, before every situation you must evaluate your main priorities, and you must learn of the inconsequential value of your life."
