OOC Eucharis Discussion

Sorry for not posting last night, I spent the entire evening working on the wiki! But it's finally fixed now!
 
Being elite is not optional! Unless you're a medic. Apparently medics are optional. I dunno, probably best not to get left out of the fire team, anyway.

What Wes said. But he certainly doesn't supplant Yamashiro-taii's place as XO in the chain of command, just in case anyone was wondering.
 
Planning on making a post of legitimate size tonight. Last night was a wash due to watching the votes come in.

I figure we'll kind of cruise along in social mode for a bit, I don't really see us having much time for a combat-type mission during the holidays which are almost here. That doesn't prevent random side missions through, like visiting nearby planets etc.
 
How would that work? Open threads?

Same goes for the SOFT training, spose. Do we want to discuss/brainstorm any of that before we dive into it?
 
Well, I'm good with whatever can find time for. I figured I'd keep going in the main thread but also so side RPs like holiday ones and maybe even some JPs.

@raz How did you want to organize the SOFT training?

As far as other peoples things... should we just put up a list of stuff we want to do/want to see/etc. and go from their?
 
I'm ready to join in as soon as there's an opportunity, which could be any new thread Tan has a reason to participate in. That could include the SOFT training, since she could be the fire team's medic. Before anything else happens in-character, she needs to report to her new captain, though. I haven't done that, yet, since it doesn't fit the timeline if she doesn't arrive at least one full day later, relative to the current thread.

Well, when I was discussing it with Wes I mentioned "field training" as to suggest it'd sort of be an on-the-fly experience after some kind of briefing that gives people expectations for their roles. But I could also run a training JP or aside if y'all are into that sort of thing. At least a Q&A talking about what being under the new doctrine means. I suppose the first step would be for my character to talk to your armor team leader, which I'm told is is @Rizzo's Candon. Ultimately, I wanted it to be as uninvasive a thing as possible.

Wes posted about the Vekimen expedition as I was writing this, and that could be a neat excuse to do some on the job training.

If you've got any desires or ideas, feel free to post them here or PM them to me :D
 
I'm not sure where Freyja would fit in on the SOFT team. She does have experience cutting open new paths with her ABSR. Combat Engineer maybe? Team Leader is possible too but I think Tsuguka's probably going to do that. I imagine Candon would be Commander and Junko would be stealth/sniper. Shiho heavy weapons of course. Masumi IT, Pan medic. Don't know about the supply specialist. Am I close?

From an in-character standpoint, nobody knows who would fit what role best but the people already stationed on the Eucharis so I haven't really thought too much about it past looking at your roster and going "hmm." Y'all have just enough people to have one primary team and one reserve team (for players who don't always like playing in power armor, anyway). I don't want to discuss it too much OOC, but positional assignments will probably be a decision for Candon and/or Tsuguka to make, and what IC input they take from you guys will be up to them.

Think of it more as bringing the Eucharis up to speed with current Star Army doctrine after a mission (the ship is already an elite unit ;)) than anything too bothersome.
