OOC Eucharis Discussion

Michael was reacting to the Station (Which we've been assuming is NMX-controlled) pointing it's turrets at the Eucharis.

Unless standing doctrine is to sit back and let the enemy fire at us first, I don't see how I was metagaming.

Wes said:
As the team waited to get started they could see enemy gun turrets starting to “notice” the hole in the station’s stealth field and aiming at Eucharis through it.
Wes posted this prior to Michael firing, so it was not metagaming for him to fire. It was however a contradiction to the idea of a stealth mission, but to be honest i do not believe the Away Team was told it was stealth. Checking.

Update: I just looked and to be honest, I could not find where the away team was told it was a stealth mission.

Just to be clear, Tomoe is not a GM in this plot.

Yaichiro's current NSD deployment tactic:

Deploy 4 of 6 NSDs, Let them drain to 66% power.

Deploy remaining pair, pull either pair back back (2 NSDs at 100%, 2 at 66%, 2 charging)

From then on, once a pair of NSDs drain to 33%, swap them in with the freshly charged pair.

Result: Constant NSD rotation with 33% backup energy at any given time. Since they can be recharged in their racks, his method needn't be CFS reliant/possibly better for stealth.

Hopefully that explains what I'm having Yai do.

Hey guys, work life is interfering with my ability to post here regularly. So either kill off Mikael or please find a less gruesome way. Will make it easier for me to fit back in as I have missed to much.

Should be able to be back to normal later this week. Back to 24 hr duty, lol Laters

She could see from internal diagnostics Junko and Yaichiro were doing an excellent job so far.

Yai is on the station, Endoh was working with Junko.

What's the penalty for mutiny if the person you're mutineeing against is a complete sociopath no different from the NMX and is probably going to cause a war?

Just asking, for fun.

On one hand, Tomoe is taking the GM role into his own hands in spite of Wes said. On the other, Wes gave him absolutely nothing to work with inside the station when he posted. I'm not sure who the root of this latest problem is. It needs straightened out though.

This is a massive clusterfuck of a mission.

But oh well. I might as well go out with a bang, seeing as how everything is trying to kill us.

Excuse me, but I'm going to have to express a very distinctive gripe about the last post that was made by Wes.

What the heck is that?

Simply put, Wes, you have not posted for a week, we have not had any GM direction for a week, we were doing well when Nashoba started working things and were beginning to have fun again with a combat situation, and now that has been rendered moot. That is not too fun, and frankly, it ruined the moment.

Next, I don't even know how the Eucharis contacted the First XF to even conduct that attack run, considering no one RP'd out the Eucharis even going anywhere close to the First XF being parked on the outskirts of the system. If any light-speed limited communications were made, then it would have taken at least six hours. It has never been established how much time has passed ICly, but I am certain it has not been six hours.

Also, on top of all of that, Wes, you've managed to render my Trishka plot moot, as my players were on the very cusp of completing the task I have given them in my own plot. They were very enthusiastic about the plot that was presented to them, and the events which were taking place.

More so, you just had an entire task force whisk themselves into the middle of the capital system of a sovereign nation while three distinctive combat forces are present and would likely consider the 1st XF to be unwelcome if they don't ask to be let in.

It was a bad post. It has made things unfun for the players in the Eucharis' away team, it has made the Trishka plot moot, and it makes little to no sense to have the 1st XF appear in such a sudden and unexplainable manner.

I don't know if any of this means anything to you Wes, but that is just how I see it, and I hope you would understand my displeasure with this performance.

Seems I wasn't clear enough with my post for CERTAIN PEOPLE to get that Michael went to the ground, so I went back and Edited in with CLEAR ALL CAPS the end result of Michael's action

PS: Doc, you've been trying to hijack and take control of the Eucharis' away team for the duration of this mission, kill all the PCs on the away team, and start a war between the UOC and Yamatai while making Yamatai into the aggressor. I don't think anyone here wants to hear you whine at Wes about his plot.

Five, you could have conveyed the precision without the attitude. It only makes you sound disrespectful.

Also, that P.S. note was only oil poured on a fire. I don't see how being scornful is being of help to anyone - this only turns you into a troll. DocTomoe is a GM with his own plot and there are presently events involving more than one plots involved. Granted, it might have been better for him to post his concerns over the GM forums rather than make this a more public display... but I, for one, can quite relate with DocTomoe's situation and do think he has a degree of credibility.

This should be up to Wes, Nashoba and DocTomoe to hash out. If you are at all wise, keep your nose out of it and stop making a pain of yourself.

Last time I checked, The Miharu had nothing to do with this. Respect is earned, I'm not going to hand it out to Doc just because he controls his own race. What, I should give respect to DocTomoe for plotting behind everyone's back, intentionally causing more problems both IC and OOC, repeatedly trying to take the GM reins from Wes and Nashoba, all because he's supposedly my better?

I'm not content to sit back and let him do whatever he wants with the eucharis, mostly because I'm a player in this plot and I'm not too keen on having this clusterfuck of a mission get any worse by starting a damn war.

And another thing, I'm tired of you and this whole respect ME shit. You aren't even involved in the eucharis, yet you insist on coming in here all the time and disposing with insights of "wisdom".

*facepalm* You just had to dispense so much vitriol, for everyone to see? Geez man, grow up. This kind of corrective advice wasn't worth this much drama.

Look, I read Eucharis. At some point, I was even Wes' Co-GM. I'm also part of this roleplaying community. DO I have any actual say on what ends up happening? Probably not - but I've in my time around earned a degree of credibility in the eyes of many. Maybe that doesn't count for you. Maybe you even want to scorn it. But to me, it does empower me with the ability to post and share my views in a constructive fashion.

So, I'm going to be blunt and straightforwardly tell you that you breed negativity and you generally make yourself very unpleasant to interact with. Your attitude doesn't make it fun for a great many and you even have this chronic trend of making in-character actions that are disruptive to your fellow participants. That includes readers, like me, as well.

Your trend of interactions, your lack of tact, your tantrums and the drama that comes from them... these all contribute to sour up things for the other participants, whom pitch into this hobby to be entertained, interact with likeminded others and have fun. We don't need that, and making sure such crop up only at a minimum is important, especially because of the many individuals involved.

But you consistently act to poison that, whether you mean it or not. I'm not Wes, nor Nashoba, but you were extended an olive branch as a gesture of goodwill... and you're steadily wearing that goodwill very thinly. It makes me feel bad for Wes, Nashoba, and the rest of the Eucharis' playerbase.

If you'd stop trolling, for one, it'd be a great start at redressing some of your perceived failings. We aren't here to be your emotional punching bags, after all and if you want to air your opinions, there are certainly better ways to present them than making them personal attacks.

The Lorath already blew up the station yesterday. I ordered everyone off of it and gave you a post to do so. My next post is the explosion. Anyone that doesn't get off the station ASAP will get blown up.

Five, gave your guy a final chance at survival, you determine if he made it or not. I need you to post which happened before I determine something.

Kiko is dragged along either way, though she needn't lose any limbs or anything.
