As promised, here's the meet-and-greet thread. It's a prologue, so settle in, get comfy.

I figure this post will remain up for two weeks or until the end of October while Wes gets the new forum and post prefix set up, then the first mission will start properly (And I'll break out the Spirit at Aphelion).

Why is there an Akemi on the Val'ta when there is supposed to be an Akemi on Ake?
 
Lamb just told me to tell you that Ake was intended to take a week and a half in IC 24 hour days and like 4 days according to Ake planet time. I just figured hey, no offense to him, I'd like to get my Neko in another plot to do more with it as the last plot it was in before either of these was very very slow and died multiple times.
 
@Amaryllis Yeah, I have wondered about that too. Either way, it is good to have you aboard. Do you mind if I do my initial post with Aran'ya with a snarky comeback to Akemi's comments about the captain? Also, is this character any relation to the famous Koga Akemi?
 
What? Same character. I just decided my character would decide to change genders if that's what you mean. Also, sure, respond to anything I write if you want. I'm just trying to generate conversation any way I can because I'm really excited to be in a new plot and I write my character as someone who would normally say these things anyway.
 
I actually like the sort of history repeating here, because Aran'ya did a very similar thing when the NPC soldiers on the transport bullied Ny'za about volunteering for the Akahar assignment...
 
Hah, maybe...

The way I did it here I'm only going to realize in the following post that it actually was Ny'za (and Jiji) that Akemi was chatting to, though.
