RP: NSS Alliance [Marine VR Sim] NSS Alliance Boarding Action

"Awww man..." Came grumbles from Gran's crew as they lifted the VR helmets off their head, they hadn't gotten to pull their triggers once during the sim and were still itching for some action.

Gran pulled his helmet off and casually rubbed the back of his head, it felt cool. Fian had gotten most of the shaving cream, but his curly hair still had some trapped, and its smeared across his hand and more hair. He didn't say anything, since he was feeling a little rough, just like last time. He set his elbows on his knees and breathed deeply for a few minutes waiting for his next command.

He smiled at Fian, who he saw walking away with the towel and made a note to thank him later. He saw people massing Rico, obviously wanting to brag about their victory. He would have to join them in a second.

For the moment Gran had been dismissed to go chill with the rest of the marines save for Fian and Rico.

Captain Miller sent a message to the support staff on the ship, one that reached their datapads in seconds.
We will be having our briefing in the mess hall after the marines are finished with their simulations. Please prepare the area and have refreshments ready to serve.

Miller had left his room minutes ago and was striding down the ship's hall, reading his own datapad, which contained a message from High Command.

His chest swelled with pride as he walked. There was good news to be shared, and Miller wanted the crew to hear about it.

The kitchen staff got on preparing the refreshments for everyone moments after the orders went out to prepare for the briefing. By the time everyone was there they'd have everything laid out and ready. With a swish of whirling air, Jet stepped out of the room he'd been monitoring the marine's VR experience from. His hard soled boots rang out as he walked down the spartan hallway toward the briefing room.

Lunchy Munchy

Oh boy, work.

Chris had been enjoying his time undisturbed in the kitchen along with the others, but of course it was time to give the pigs their slop again. On top of that the captain seemed to just absolutely love giving speeches in the cafeteria.

"So girls, any ideas on what dish for today?"

As the mass of marines began slowly filing out of the recreation room, Rico stayed behind. He had himself planted casually in a seat in the center of the room, throwing nods and a quick "catch ya later baby" at his comrades as they left, all the while trying to think of what reason Wazu would have to keep him behind. He had decided to wait out the ten minutes Wazu had given him...he didn't feel like he needed to be anywhere else. As the minutes ticked by, Rico tried to keep his smile from turning into a grimace.

'Oh shit...I bet Ally ratted me out.' Rico concluded. He shot a quick glance at Ally, still standing up on stage. When she looked back at him, Rico gave her a greatly exaggerated frown of sadness. 'Jeez, all I did was give Adrian a little kick. And maybe I was goofin' around a bit in the sim. Not anythin' to get upset about...' Rico continued to slump down into the chair, waiting for Wazu to finish whatever he was doing on that computer screen.

Adrian, despite his team's win, was still a little pissed off about some matters.
As such, on his way to the cafe, he took a stop-over to the medical bay. Adrian whistled at the newly-finished room. Far better than the make-shift area that he had been forced to use on their last mission.
However, he did not let his wonder hold him too long, and he quickly located the section of the bay that housed the various drugs.
Looking through the dozens of choices, he realized that almost all of them were pain-killers, and as such not a very effective means of pay-back. Until he saw Vigour.

Thank you Emrys Industries. Thank you so, so much.

Adrian grabbed two of the 40 or so available capsules, dropped them both in his pocket and exited the room and headed for the cafeteria, wondering the entire time why the hell anyone would ever need the extremely potent aphrodisiac for medical use.

Wazu placed his hand on the cane beside him and used it to pull himself up to his feet. "Alright, we just need Fian to arrive and we can began.â€

Valo was standing in the medical bay as always watching over things. The room was spotless in appearance. It was obvious that a machine was the one in charge of taking care of the place.

Valo turned to face the entrance to the medical bay as he could hear someone quickly approaching.

Fian ran into the medibay, panting and breathless. His sweat was dripping into the newly sterilized floor. Looking up, he saw Valo looking at him as though he was expected. Valo was just the guy(?) he was looking for.

"Va... Lo!" Fian gasped, he took a few more seconds to take a few proper breaths. "Did anybody come in here to take anything?"

Valo turned away from Fian walking over to the medical cases. As he did he spoke "A marine was here only a few minutes ago. I was busy tending to the condition of this facility and did not take note of what he took."

Valo scanned over the shelves while comparing them to his internal databanks. "This will take a moment....."

Fian had stopped sweating from the run and started sweating from the tension. Adrian wont kill or cause bloodily harm to Rico, that thing he injected must be some sort of practical joke. Fian slid back his sleeve to check his gold watch, not that he knew when the effects will kick in but he just had to do something to keep himself busy.

While Valo was co-relating the shelf inventories with the database, Fian scanned the list of available drugs. Hand to hand -yes, Marksmanship -yes, Strategy -yes, drugs? -NO. The Vel Steyr had to open each and every database to see its effects because he could not tell from just looking at their names. One particular drug caught his eye.

Kasserine? Now that is bloody evil. God help Adrian if Rico grows a Vagina. Fian then turned to the Custodian. "Valo, what about Kasserine?"

Valo continued to scan through the database as Fian asked about the Kasserine. In response Valo lifted his right arm and pointed to a shelf just to the right of him. "I did not detect any recent removal of that drug. No male of your race should have use for such."

Valo was now wondering just what the marine was doing with whatever he took.

Fian dropped the datapad, it was useless. He resorted to checking his watch again. Why am I rushing about? I'm sure Adrian does not mean Rico any harm. Fian tried to think of something else... He remembered that he had to collect Elsae from the Power Armor bay.

"I'm going off to do somethine else." He said to Valo as he left. "Contact me via Ally if you turn up anything."

Istvan was bugging the chef "Borscht!" he said "Make borscht! PLEASE! It has been so long!"

Never mind that NO one else liked borscht. Never mind that the chef and Istvan would be attacked by angry mobs. Never MIND that the chef probably didn't know how. Never mind any of that. A 6'6" man was making puppy dog eyes and begging for borscht.

As Rico continued down the corridors towards the mess hall his smile began to grow wider. He started feeling good...really good. As he walked, there was a slight spring in his step. His body began to feel light and airy, like a ball of hot steam rising from a sauna. Hot...steam...

Rico shrugged it off, thinking it to be a slight state of elation from his promotion he had recieved just minutes earlier. He suddenly decided he deserved to celebrate for this triumph...a little reward, just for Rico. And he knew exactly what kind of reward he felt like, and exactly where to find it.

"Actually baby, I need to take a piss. I'll catch ya in the mess hall, eh?" Rico waved off to Adrian, taking a sharp turn into an opposing corridor, hands firmly planted into his pockets.

Fian entered the Power Armor bay and looked around. The AIR2 that he affixed Elsae to was not in its original spot, heck, its not even within sight. Feeling worried, he paced to the engineering desk for some answers.

"Hey." Fian said to the Engineer in charge. "I had reserved an AIR2 unit earlier? I left it alone for about half an hour and now its not there." He pointed to the exact spot where the Power Armor once parked.

The young techie looked over Fian's shoulder to take note of the spot. "Oh that place? It is in the way of incomming traffic, the other boys must have put it in storage. Let me check." The engineer then keyed in a few words in his datapad, squinted a little, keyed it in again, scratched his head and then asked a question before keying it in again. "Do you remember what was the serial number of that unit?"

"Two-Four-Five-Five." Fian said, he was quite intent on claiming that AIR2.

"Strange, it says that you have taken it out for a test flight!" The techie exclamed.

"HELL NO!" Fian shouted. As though on cue, AIR2 no.2455 skidded into a halt into the hangar bay smoking. There was no bullet holes or scorch marks on it but the brown gravel stains and scratches make it apparent that the damage is from collusions. Along with a number of other engineers, Fian ran quickly to the crashed machine.

"User default!" Fian shouted into the receiver, it was easy to reach because the Armor was almost lying on its side. The top of the machine creaked open to reveal another young unconcious engineer. After helping some of the other crew haul the man out on a strecher, Fian quickly reached inside to pull out Elsae from her socket.

"Young uns." One senior engineer mumbled as the wounded pilot was taken away. "I told them not to touch it but they never listen."

"The security codes should be changed." Fian commented, trying to sound uninvolved. "Not to mention these AIR2s handle like a bitch. Got to go, old man!"

Fian hastily strode away to the exit. In his pocket, Elsae whispered to him: I'm sorry...

As Rico rounded more corners and walked briskly through more corridors, it eventually led him into the bridge and ship staff's quarters. Not many of the marines usually frequented this area of the ship for several different reasons...but for some reason, at the moment, Rico did not really care for this unwritten rule. He was more interested in looking for a certain doorway, following the signs and directories as well as his knowledge of the shape of the ship. It wasn't long before he found it.

Rico smirked slyly as he neared the small door. On its center, a large, square sign clearly labled "Kitchen Staff Only" hung in bold black letters over slate grey plating. Rico had enough sense to know simply walking in wouldn't be the wisest of choices. Instead, Rico leaned against the wall and waited patiently for a target to come into view. Sure enough, the door swung open slowly and one of the kitchen girls walked through it with a small smile.

She was a Geshrin woman...fairly young, easy on the eyes, nothing entirely special. Not that it really mattered to Rico at the moment. When she noticed him sitting off to the side, he gave her a nod and a wink, along with a soft, "How ya doin'?" She returned a slightly worried look at him before she turned back to the hallway and started walking, rather quickly, farther into the corridor. "Whoa, hey, slow down babe, I just wanna talk." Rico lied loudly out behind her. She didn't return a word, ignoring him as she picked up the pace, attempting to give him the obvious hint that she wasn't interested. Not obvious enough apparantly, as Rico increased his own walking speed, quickly gaining ground behind her. 'Playin' hard to get, eh...fine then.'

As Adrian walked to the cafeteria, he kept getting feelings of fear, that possibly his prank on Rico would end sourly. While refusing to give up his righteous revenge, Adrian decided he would possibly have to take some precautions against major trouble. As such, he strolled to the med-bay, rolling his eyes as he saw Fian rush away from the room, and moved quickly to the medicinal area, giving Valo a passing "Hello."

Looking through the choices, he grabbed a small container of some sort of knock-out drug. Deciding that the previously used Emrys capsules were effective, he took one of the spent Vigour tubes out and popped the cap off. He quickly washed out the container before measuring out the proper dosage of the sedative and dumping it into the capsule. With that, Adrian put the cap back on and inserted it once more into his pocket before moving for the door.

Unfortunately, before he could leave, a team of engineers holding a man on a stretcher rushed in. Adrian grunted and walked forward, quickly surveying the man's relatively minor external injuries.
"What happened to him?"
"He went joy-riding in one of the new AIR2's. Smashed it up all over the place. He's out cold."
Adrian nodded with a grimace. Even (most) marines knew better than to hijack an armor for personal amusement. He instructed the engineers to dump the man on a table for examination before shooing them out of the room. He slapped some bandages on the bleeding wounds, and took a look around for any other signs of trauma. Other than a probable concussion, the man should be fine.

"Valo, watch this guy, make sure he stays fine until he wakes up. He has a concussion and some minor wounds."
Adrian then moved to one of the medical lab computers and set up a message for Captain Miller.

Technical Sentry Jonas P. Grames was admitted to medical bay today with minor cuts and bruises and a concussion. According to Armor Bay staff, these injuries came from unauthorized use of a Marine power armor.

He sent the message, and exited the bay, this time hoping to get to the cafe without delays.
