RP: UCS Zenpyou [Mission 1] Blackened Wings

Zero paused in his trek to the brig and spun on a heel to head down to the shuttle bay again and soon arrived. Ths place looked like hell, it really did, he could only imagine the shit the engineers would give have when they had to repair it. "I suppose we gotta go bust some asses now huh?" he asked STryker.

Ai sighed as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She rubbed her eyes, trying to make it look as if she hadn't been crying. 'Stop it!' she yelled at herself, 'Natsu-chan is fine, why do I still need to worry?'

She left her room, and headed back out to the hangar.

Gin was about to enter the medbay when she heard the announcement. Well, so much for things settling down a little. she thought turning away from the door, she made her way quickly towards the shuttle bay. Not unexpected there was little change to the room since she left, except that someone had removed the damaged armor. She joined the others and sent telepathically to Zero Guess we'll have to take a raincheck on that coffee.

Zero glanced to Gin out of the corner of his eye and nodded softly for a second. He didn't mind a raincheck, kicking butt was more exciting anyway, at least there he knew what he had to do to make it work. If you say so. We can always just go for it after we get this done too if you're still interested. He replied.

Ichiro chuckled, hearing the second announcement. "Well, if we could please hurry. I believe I am under said announcement to the shuttle bay." he said, lofting his stuff a little more.

"Of course. I'm one of the combat trained troops, so I'm there too, even when it's not all able bodied people. I'll show you the rooms quickly, you can grab a bunk, and we'll get back down to the shuttle bay." Denkou turned, and strode out, confident that this time they wouldn't make the same dumb mistakes, and eager to be on his way.

"Un. I think I'll be able to manage. Give me an hour or so before I do though." Natsuko responded to Stryker before responding to Roken. "I guess so...if you consider 2 years a long time." Natsuko responded trying not to think back to her original assignments. "I was, and still am, happy when I settled into the 17th. Any...." Natsuko paused, Maybe it's inappropriate for me to ask this. "Any lovers during that time?"

Roken shook his head at the question. “No lovers....must be the augments,” Roken joked as he gave up on finding anything that was remotely close to what he was looking for. I wonder why she asked? He thought as he sat back on his bed, “what about you, anyone waiting for you when we get back....sir?” He paused hoping he would not get a hard stare and a lecture but he figured if she asked then he was in his right to ask also.....or thats how he thought anyway.

The male Yamataian nodded, floating after Denkou with his stuff, eager to stretch his legs in a PA again. "So, first ship you've been on? Or were you with the 5th as well?" Ichiro asked, making a little bit of small talk on the way to the bunk.

"I was on the YSS Asuka before the split, but only for a short period of time. Here though, I served on the Vanguard before this. Again, not for a long time, but long enough. I was with the police in the YSE before I joined the military though," Denkou commented to Ichiro as they arrived at the bunk area. "You can take just about any of the rooms at this point, most of us haven't settled on one yet."

Ichiro nodded, looking for a fairly empty room before tossing his stuff inside the nearest one he found for now. "Alright then, to the hanger," he said, nodding his thanks. "I'm definitely going to need a guide there," he told Denkou. "So I'm kinda surprised I don't remember you, seeing as that we were on the same ship," he mentioned, floating along.

Natsuko sighed contentedly in response to Roken's question. "Well, I don't know if he'll be there for sure, he is in the Peacekeepers after all. I'm hoping he will be." Natsuko responded. "Sorry about not listening to your warning earlier....are you feeling okay?" Natsuko honestly was sorry. She could have saved herself and Roken a lot of pain had she not tried to pry open the Demon power armor.

Roken just gave her a nod, “Well, I do not know anything about relationships but I'm sure once he has time he will meet up with you.” He rubbed his head for a moment feeling like he might have not made much sense but he hoped she would understand.

He just smiled at the apology, “Don't worry about it....we're still alive.” He gave is injured ribs a pat as he pulled himself up, “I have been through much worst than this...trust me.”

Pain was not a new thing for Roken, he lost his sight for one and even before joining the military he has been injured what he has learned that if you live through it then you just remember not to let it happen again regardless. “You will heal up, I'll get my eye fixed....or replaced and my ribs will be much better.” He stretched a little before slowly walking out of the room.

“I never liked sitting in a medical bed so I think I'll go and find myself something to do,” Roken gave Natsuko a salute before stepping out of the room.

Ai, upon reaching the hangar, just sat down along the wall as she waited for something to happen. What that something was, whether they be orders or them coming under attack again, still to be seen. A few moments pass, before she sighed.

'Natsu-chan, are you okay?' she asked telepathically. Ai hoped that Natsuko hadn't somehow ended up dying or ended up worse since the last Ai had seen her.

As Ai sat waiting in the shuttle bay, one of the crewman approached her. "Ma'am, the shuttle is prepped and ready for launch as per Sub-Commander Stryker's orders." the crewman said after saluting, his rank flashed when he saluted revealing that he was a Peacekeeper 3rd Class. "Permission to speak freely ma'am?" the crewman asked.

*****

"Jya, mata ne." Natsuko responded, perhaps a bit too colloquially, to Roken. The neko lay there staring at the ceiling for a bit before she heard Ai speak. "Hai...I'm fine Ai. Sumanakatta." Natsuko responded. "You're going planet-side right?" Natsuko asked Ai before trying to roll out of bed. Everything hurt still but she would manage, she could probably make it to her quarters or the brig if she tried.

"Well, like I said, I was only there for a very short time before the split, and then I got mixed up in all of the turmoil that came about. I was on the Vanguard with most of the former Asuka crewmen, but I'm not sure where the rest of you went." Denkou turned and started walking to the hangar. "I basically stayed with the Taisa until he made his decision to go back to Yamatai, and past there I stayed with the crew until this last assignment."

"Okay, thank you Peacekeeper," Ai said, before she mumbled to herself, "Probably should start getting ready huh...."

"Yes, go ahead and speak freely," she continued, with a nod, as she stood up.

"Thank goodness. I wouldn't forgive you if you weren't fine..." Ai sent a telepathic reply to Natsuko. "And, yeah, I'm heading out. I'm guessing you aren't."

Wavrian felt a bit fidgety at this point. As soon as the order had come to go to the hangar bay, where he was already hard at work, he had put down all of his tools to stand and wait.

Honestly, he was a bit confused. He was an engineer, but like any peacekeeper, he'd had power armor training. So, was he to go down to the planet with the pilots, or wait for the Zenpyou to land? For now, he shifted uneasily from one foot to the other, standing at attention.

Roken had just paused a few steps out of the medical room, barely understanding what Natsuko had said. After a few moments he decided to head to the hangar regardless of his condition, as long as he was kept up to date he would be alright with that and he could see if he could get anything out of the enemy armors and there pilots.

He managed to make it to the hanger, making a few stops to see about fixing his eye only to settle on having it covered. He looked around at the others that were there giving them a nod or a salute when needed as he found himself a spot among the ranks and noticing Ichiro was there I though he left. He though but pushed it away, his mind focused on the mission….and his healing ribs.
