RP: UCS Zenpyou [Mission 1] Blackened Wings

"I don't think I'd be any good in a fight right about now. Besides, David has ordered me to interrogate the prisoners." Natsuko rolled David's name around in her mouth unconciously as she responded to Ai. It felt awkward to her to use his first name instead of his last name and rank. Just another change to get used to though. Natsuko thought to herself.

******

"Do you really think it's a good idea to take so many of our better armor pilots planetside without any armors?" the Peacekeeper asked Ai.

"What? Who's going planet-side without an armor? We're here to protect civilians. Peacekeepers who are going to be down there should be in armor," Ai responded, thinking that whoever was heading down not in a Tenshi was being rather idiotic. "Even if the pirates or whomever were to attack, I don't think they'd likely have power armor like what we faced earlier if not stronger. Without our own armor, we'd be done for."

"You're going to be interrogating? Are you sure you're up to that, seeing as you nearly just died?" the sub-lieutenant sent back to Natsuko. "You should be getting your rest, not exerting yourself. Besides, since they are prisoners, I don't think they'll be in the best mood to be interrogated."

Zero heard what Ai said and got to his Tenshi and suited up in his black with gold-trim armor and checked his weapons systems and took one of the pacifier guns and shook is head. "You guys do what you want, I'm getting the lead out and getting ready," he irately stated to the idling wing members as he boarded the shuttle and donned his Tenshi's helmet. "PSC Cross, ready to deploy," he reported.

Karasu walked over to her Tenshi, and suited back up. So much for the briefing they announced, perhaps they'll give it on the shuttle ride. A quick system checked showed that the armor was ready. She then headed towards the awaiting shuttle. As Gin approached she reported. "Peacekeepr Karasu ready."

Ichiro walked over, looking around. "I'm Cadet Kobayashi, looking for Sub-Commander Stryker and looking to get suited up in an armor," he said, trying to act as official as possible until he figured out how this group ran.

Natsuko bit her lip as she responded to Ai. "I've been through worse and managed fine. I'm sure it won't be a problem." Natsuko responded. Natsuko managed to bite through the pain for a little bit. It was useful to be able to stop feeling pain in combat situations, but it was a bad thing to get too used to being able to switch it off. Natsuko was heading to the brig when she got a message from Fleming. Quickly the Sub-Lieutenant switched directions and headed down to the launch bay.

By the time Natsuko made it down to the armor bay not only had she healed a little more, making masking the pain of moving an easier task, but nearly everyone was armored and in or around the shuttle. Natsuko had gotten almost to the shuttle when one of the peacekeepers working near the shuttle approached her. "Ma'am, there's a Cadet Kobayashi here looking for Sub-Commander Stryker he says he needs a power armor issued to him," the peacekeeper said.

Natsuko stopped and queried the ships computer about Ichiro before speaking to the peacekeeper, "Give him one of the backup armors for now." Natsuko said before approaching Ichiro herself. "Unfortunately Sub-Commander Stryker will be joining us later."

Natsuko said while messaging Ai telepathically. "Guess there's been a changeup. I'm coming with you, but I'm definitely light duty only. If we get in a fight, Ai, you'll need to take care of it unless David gets down there in time."

"I'm Sub-Liutenant Hiragi Natsuko, pleased to meet you. I'll be kind of leading the unit down to the planet. I've authorized you the use of a backup armor until we can have one permanently assigned to you. We'll launch as soon as you're on board," Natsuko said without missing a beat.

Once everyone was aboard the shuttle it took off, headed for Miyamae 3.

Ai had undressed to her undies again, before slipping into her armor. She had taken the standard loadout for atmospheric operations, except she didn't take the pacifier gun.

"Still, just because you've been through worse doesn't me-.... Wait. You're coming?!? Okay. Since David isn't here... for some reason.... Just don't get hurt again, if you're coming down with us!" she sent her response.

She got onto the shuttle, and waited as the shuttle took off.

Ichiro nodded respectfully to Natsuko. "Understood. Just recently decided to come back after the break up of the 5th. I'll apologize now if I end up being more rusty then I thought I was." he said, looking for the backup armor.

Roken Looked at the Mantis that he was originally operating. Techs did a good job patching you up, he thought to himself and decided to suit back up again. The rest of the team was aboard the shuttle making him last again which didn’t much matter as he took the first available spot onboard as they departed.

“So do we know what to expect once were down there.” Roken asked wanting to get as much info as possible for there current assignment.

He looked over at Natsuko, “Good to see your up and about Sir.” He gave her a salute before letting his mind wander on what he needed to do.

The shuttle was pretty cramped with so many power armors inside it, luckily for Natsuko, she wasn't in an armor so she could ride in the cockpit with the pilot. Once the shuttle was under way Natsuko's voice came over the team's radios.

"We are still unable to contact the colonists on the planet. Our first priority is to make sure that they're alright. Once they are safe and secure we need to figure out who has the gall to do this," Natsuko was pretty angry about the attack on the ship, granted the explosion was her own fault. As Natsuko spoke the shuttle entered the atmosphere.

"We're going to secure the pad first, then move quickly into the city. Make sure not to accidentally fire on civilians, if it looks like this is just jamming then relax. We don't want any mistakes here."

About a minute after Natsuko finished speaking the shuttle set down on the landing pad, and the door opened. From inside the shuttle, the pad appeared to be desolate. A path to an airlock that led into the domed city could be seen, but there didn't appear to be anyone nearby pirate or otherwise.

"GO GO GO!" Natsuko urged through the radio.

At Natsuko's command, Karasu made her way out of the shuttle. Assuming a defensive posture while waiting for the others to disembark, and to see what the officers wanted to do next. She scanned the area with her Tenshi, keeping alert for anything out of the ordinary.

At the command to launch, Ichiro launched out of the shuttle with his PA. He took a defensive position and scanned the immediate area, looking for anything that could possibly be out of the ordinary, as well as, looking at the readouts from his scanners.

Wavrian ran his Tenshi quickly out of the ship, crouching beside the shuttle to make himself a smaller target. He kept his eyes and scanners trained on the airlock, taking a more specified approach than the others' wide sweep.

Denkou debarked slowly, attempting to look like an officer. For all their work, the other three wouldn't be much help if there were snipers, but if they thought he was the officer... well, at least Natsuko and Ai wouldn't get hit. He wasn't sure what they might have that could take out a PA, but he wanted to be the one to find out, not one of the officers. He did, however, have his weapon slung at the ready, just in case a sniper made a dumb mistake. Just because he was low ranking didn't mean he was stupid.

Zero quickly exited the shuttle when it was his turn, the Pacifier rifle held at the ready and leading his way. Sweeping the platform with his Tenshi's sensors to try and detect any possible traps or concealed bombs, shifting them through various spectrums to be sure. "It's too quiet up here," he said. "Be careful and watchful for possible traps you guys."

Roken exited the shuttle forming up with the others that were on the defensive around the ship. He remained in the back seeing how he was shy an fully working eye he focused on the sensors and any com-traffic that he might pick up, “I really don't like it when its quiet.” Roken said as he looked back at the transport.

"Fan out and search the surrounding area for hostiles, don't go far from the pad though. Be sure to cover each other, be careful, and don't do anything stupid. A couple of you, hang back and keep an eye out," Ai said over the comm to the peacekeepers. It occurred to her that she should probably learn the names of her comrades. She brought up a list of the names of those she was with. "Er... Peacekeepers Techard and Uindo, cover the others, I mean." Better not leave things vague.

She just figured that she could probably handle the outside commands better than Natsuko probably could from the inside of the ship. Besides that, Ai didn't want Natsuko working too hard.

As the peacekeepers looked around the landing pad, it became glaringly obvious that it wasn't normally like this. Tools were lying around, seemingly discarded or left in a hurry. Aside from that though the pad seemed undisturbed aside from the shuttle that they had arrived in.

Zero looked around at everything that was strewn over the platform like someone had dropped their shit and hauled ass. "I wonder what would cause people to drop things everywhere like this and just flee," he mused over the comm and approached the edge of the platform to check the terminal itself and cautiously swept his sensors over the area. He was carefully examining the area to prevent something from surprising the group.

“Understood will provide cover and support to the team,” Roken said. He was focused on his sensors as he tried to get access to local communications for the colony in hopes of catching anyone trying to communicate. “One guess…the group that attacked the Zen when we got here for starters,” Roken said as he looked at the tools littering the pad, “no scorch marks or bullet holes so that’s both a bad and good sign.”

Roken kept a slow pace while the others did there sweep of the landing pad keeping his weapons ready if anyone decided to try and ambush them. Lets if there is no firefight then the colonist might be hostages, or they could be hiding someplace till they can be rescued. Roken thought to himself.
