Sune looked over at Hanako. "I have a feeling you will not get a crew to willingly give up their ship. You would have to order them. Then there would be having to explain why you commandeered a ship. Unless you plan on taking one of our other Squadron vessels.

We do know there are NMX forces on the surface. We just have no idea how many. For all we know there could be more of them elsewhere. Its possible that more of the group we encountered are present. Kyoto is not that far for a vehicle. Perhaps we should scout between here and the city and make sure there are no NMX forces heading towards the civilians?"

Takeyu listened in, his mind focused on the task at hand while also thinking about an answer. "While I feel more at home in space, it would probably not be easy getting another ship down here for us to utilize. Not to mention that we have NMX on the ground, probably best to take them out before they hurt or kill any civilians," he glanced in the direction of the city.

Peering into the stormy skies above, Helen turned to look to the Shosho. "Ma'am, I think we need to get back into the fight, or get you out of harm's way. By now, the NMX know the Eucharis touched down here, and they'd likely come to try to get a little bit of a prize out of this incursion, meaning you, ma'am. We should get mobile, head to the nearest starport. If we can't find a ship, we could at least outfit ourselves with fresh kit and armor, or at the very least, monitor the situation, and have a better idea of how we can help on a larger scope. Also, ma'am, if it is not crossing a line, I would like to say; a Shosho is most useful somewhere that she can command."

With her words spoken, Helen began to stroll out to stand sentry, before she did, she looked over her shoulder. "Shosho, from what I've observed of the methods of this crew, it is unlikely that we will hunker down in a starport while waiting for a ship, so I would advise, we find a starport which also has a formidable vehicle pool. Fighters, tanks, armor units. We'll need them if we get involved in an infantry scuffle." She then directed her gaze outward, watching for any hostiles.

Having received her blood supplement from Hakujou, Akemi joined Helen in standing guard. She was of two minds, she wanted to immediately seek more combat on the ground yet she also wanted her commander to be in as little danger as possible and aboard a ship where she would be best suited to use her abilities.

Nathaniel ascended into the air and calmly made his way towards the designated person. I doubt its even worth his time. Oh well, captains orders are still orders.

He descended near the doctor just a few seconds after he had started the flight. The massive wing binders folded back into their normal position. Did I grow lately? Nathaniel stretched and closed the wings again to see if it was just his superstition. He shrugged when it didn’t feel the same as before.

“Hakujou, I presume?” Nathaniel immediately removed his helmet and opened up the chest of the Hikael to pull his injured left arm out of it. The burn marks where clearly visible below the elbow, some of the smaller parts where already starting to heal due to the life support systems of the armor. The bigger however parts appeared to feel worse than they were. However it wouldn’t hurt letting the doctor have a look at it. “Captain ordered me to report to you, so you could take a look at it.”

Hakujou looked at the Elysian for a moment, then at his burned arm. "You appear to have second degree burns to most of your forearm." She said after the examination. "Nothing some hemosynthetic therapy can't handle." She explained as she pulled out what looked like a bandage. After a short minute she had Nathanial's arm bandaged. "Your suit's emergency recovery system should be able to do the rest with that."

"Does a Hikael have that?" Hanako wondered aloud.

She turned her attention to the shuttles. "I think we should head towards Kyoto and look for opportunities to help while we are on the way. Let's try get everyone inside."

"I'll fly escort. My armor is not too damaged, just some external plate issues. That will open up some space inside." Helen spoke, volunteering herself for a bit of extra work, of course, it was work she found great enjoyment in.

"The Hikael does have a recovery system Shôshô," answered Akemi simply, making sure her tone did not offend. "I will gladly do the same if you deem it acceptable ma'am," said the soldier with measured enthusiasm immediately after Helen spoke. Akemi delighted at the idea. She didn't want to let any opportunities to prove herself slip by.

Nathaniel thanked the doctor and pushed the arm back into the armor. He moved the arm back and forth a few times to see if the bandage restricted him in any way. He dint want to find himself in a fight where he suddenly found out certain movements of the arm where more sluggish than usual. Talk about excellent work He thought to himself when he noticed this was hardly the case.

Nathaniel had the feeling he should commend Akemi for her knowledge of the Hikael. “Indeed, the Hikael has the ability to heal small wounds and other simple injuries. But my question would now be to ask how Miss Koga knows about this? I also volunteer for escort duty. I’m more usefull outside then inside of the shuttle.”

Reika ran through her armors diagnostic routine and checked the conditions of all her weapons to make sure they would be ready for whatever action they saw next, as her Sune's instruction.

The neko would have offered to fly escort with the Helen and Nathaniel, but her armor was the stealth and sensor variant of the Daisy and thus lacked the usual fusion thruster pack which would allow her armor to keep up with the shuttle whilst in the air.

"I'm not equipped to fly escort, so I guess I'll hop aboard the shuttle for the flight. As to finding out where to head next, my armors sensor suite would probably be able to detect most of the NMX forces presently within 1,200 km that aren't operating under stealth or heavy jamming."

Looking up at the sky as she made her way towards the small support ship, Reika could see intermittent flashes caused by powerful explosions -- the space battle in progress above Yamatai.

Akemi spoke plainly, "I know this because I have obtained and memorized as much information as I could about all forms of power armor and related armaments sir. In addition to learning their specifications, I have learned to maintain and repair them. I say this now so that should my skills be of use in the future you will all know of them." She did not check her equipment because she had already tested it in battle moments ago and checked it on her way to the Ripper and back to the others when she had finished assisting in eliminating it.

Ramiro decided it was best not to get involved into a conversation about armor. After briefly looking around he jogged his armor over to the shuttle and boarded.

Once everyone was loaded, the shuttles were airborne and on the way to Kyoto. On the way, they spotted NMX "Flayer" tankettes and a lot of Nekovalkyrja infantry, as well as Rippers. Due to their numbers, Hanako had the shuttles avoid a direct confrontation. After more flying, they were able to make it to fortifications on the outskirts of the city where soldiers of the Legion were defending Kyoto. The Eucharis shuttles came to rest at a small landing pad, near a blown up fire truck surrounded by dead bodies.

Presumably already being outside, Akemi began to circle around the perimeter of the shuttles and scan for enemies.

Takeyu waited patiently, looking through the footage his drones had sent back to him before he had them dock and entered the shuttle not that long ago.

He cradling his rifle in his arms throughout the entire trip. When the shuttle had arrived, he got up, quiet as ever and not saying one single word as he stepped out and looked at the carnage - responding with a mere shake of the hea and glancing over the bodies.

He then glanced in the direction where he felt the NMX were coming from, and redeployed his drones to serve as overwatch. "Drones up, providing overwatch," he announced over the squad frequency.

Then he brought his rifle up in a ready position, glancing about the area slowly with a cautious eye.

A wave of NMX Rippers and tanks were approaching the city. The legion' soldiers and tanks gathered outside the city walls, taking their positions in bunkers and muddy trenches while overhead, starfighters dropped liquid explosive bombs into the enemy ranks. One was shot down and crashed in the hills nearby.

Hanako exited the shuttle and went to a crumbled section of the city wall to look out at the rapidly advancing enemy forces. "We have incoming!" she told the team. A bolt of lightening flashed overhead.

Akemi took up a point along the wall a short distance away from Hanako and the others. It too was a crumbled section. The soldier positioned herself so that most of her body was covered by a part of it that remained. She activated her left forearm shield and held it up in front of her chest while simultaneously setting her right arm weapon to charged beam mode and starting to fire at the Rippers when they came into range. She was thrilled that she was seeing so much action on her first day, but she wouldn't let her excitement hinder her performance.

"Shosho." Helen started, as she evaluated the situation as best she could. "What is the evacuation status of the city, and do we have clearance to use small scale antimatter ordinance?" She asked, as she pondered the notion of just how swiftly they could handle the situation if they were able to let just a handful of antimatter shells off their chain. "If unable to use such ordinance, request direction in regard to suitable engagement tactics... I do not feel like being put on trial for any violations of our rules of engagement for this situation."

What it came down to was simple, Helen was an operative, a quiet assassin, at a stretch, she could be called a specialist. However, in all of Helen's time of service, she had not had the requirement of using kid-gloves on Yamatai's home turf. By Helen's book, the best way to win a battle was through decisive use of firepower or tactics which would bring an end to a confrontation as swiftly as possible, such tactics however, rarely meshed well with fighting in a combat zone which could have friendlies, worse, it did not mesh with wanting to keep terrain intact.

None the less, as Helen asked her question, she brought up her aether Gatling, and began to use her AIES once again to mark her targets. With the start of shooting by another of the Eucharis crew, Helen decided to open fire, short bursts, between each burst, she skimmed along the city wall, moving from location to location along the wall, dipping behind it, popping above it, all while keeping her targets electronically marked.

Ramiro sprinted out the shuttle after Hanako. Midway he knelt down to check his ammo only to be reminded that he had barely fired his weapon yet. Shaking his head a little he followed the rest of the way to the crumbled wall. Doing a quick visual scan to select his favorite spot he jogged over and took up a defensive prone position behind a pile of rubble. Using the rubble as cover, he grabbed a separate large piece of rubble, placed it in front of it, and placed the barrel of his weapon on top so he could use it to balance the weapon. Satisfied with his status, he shouldered the weapon and prepared to engage.
