Wardroom

Since Ramiro had been in back helping out the ship's cooks, he waited until the food was served before returning to his cabin and changing into his Working Uniform. Thus, he wound up being one of the last ones in line. After grabbing plate full of ham with a small side of eggs, along with a glass of water, he walked over and sat down with Konoka. He also noticed that she was being her usual self, and that she had an empty coffee mug.

"No more coffee for you," he said as he gently slid the mug out of her hand. "You're hyper enough without caffeine pumping through your bloodstream."

Akemi rose from her seat and went to get her meal. She returned with some of everything on her tray and began quietly eating, this time sitting beside Mitsuko in an attempt to be friendly.

Tomomi walked into the wardroom yawning with half opened eyes. As she scratched the right side of her torso, she strained to open her right eye to scan for a particular item. Finding it, she casually went to the table where the food had been set up at. She gathered herself some scrambled eggs, biscuits, and baked cinnamon apples. She disliked ham, so she avoided it. Then she proceeded to pour a cup for herself the one item she did care about, coffee.

Content with what she had, she found her usual spot slightly away from everyone. She downed her cup of coffee rather quickly as soon as she sat down.

After a brief excursion to his cabin to change into the proper uniform (taking his time to avoid an unnecessary incident) and then returned to the wardroom, grabbing a tray with a little bit of everything, and refilled his coffee mug with black coffee. Bors decided to switch seats, picking one across from the growing conversation and next to Natsumi, thinking that he should at least say hi to his new roommate. First things were first though, cutting one of his biscuits in half Bors put piece of ham on it and topped it with some of the eggs, making something of a breakfast sandwich and quickly devoured it washing it down with a gulp of coffee. As he started to prepare another breakfast biscuit he gestured over to the conversation across from him with his knife to Natsumi.

"Gotta watch out for the Doc over there, she'll talk your ear off if you let her" Bors said jokingly, "seems like she cornered the other new recruit though, so you may luck out until lunch."

Hanako pressed her biscuit to the bottom of her nose and inhaled the fresh-baked aroma for a moment with a gleeful expression on her face. Then she split the biscuit horizontally, put it on her plate, and began to assemble her own breakfast sandwich consisting of eggs, ham, and (after a visit to the kitchen) a slice of cheese.

Shortly thereafter, cheese was added to the buffet by Lime.

"Shore leave will be on Hanako's World," Hanako told the crew. Without further elaboration, she began to daintily eat her sandwich.

"Ooh!" Ramiro exclaimed with a grin. "Hanako's World? I still remember the last time we had leave in Hanako's World. Shopping, making new friends, laying on the beach together, dancing the night away with Endoh-Hei..." Ramiro began to trail off as he leaned back in his seat, lost in thought.

As Takeyu listened and nodded. "I plan to, already got my report written up and prepared for them to view, though I plan on doing one last pass through the ship to check for anything else that I might've missed during my first inspection," said the Shoi before he took a bite out of his biscuit.

When he saw the addition of cheese, he thought for a moment, glancing at his biscuits, then at the cheese and pondered. He took four of his biscuits, grabbed some cheese, then carefully molded the two together and placed it into the microwave where he heated them up - watching the cheese melt into the biscuit. When it was done, he took them out and looked at them. "All I'm missing is garlic," he said and walked back over to his seat.

"Anyone wanna try?" offered the Shoi.

"Aw, Ramiro-kun, you meanie," pouted Konoka jokingly as Ramiro took her coffee cup, giggling.

"Yeah, Sune-Shosa, I'll do that medical report later," she nodded at Sune. "Ohmigosh....Hanako's World! I remember that....that was waaaay back when I outranked you, when you were just starting....and as I recall, you were a great dancer!" She smirked at him. "Now you're a big-time Shosa...man, times have changed. Think you'll still be able to hang out with me again, though?"

Then she turned back to Mitsuko. "Murakami-Hei, was it? Don't be so shy...you should hang out with us today! Make some friends."

When she heard Bors' comment, she smirked, "You, too, Riko-Hei and Natsumi-Hei! You're not getting out of fun."

Bors held his hands up with a slight laugh as Konoka addressed him,

"Not saying I'm gonna skip out on any fun here Doc, trust me I'll find some trouble to get into, trust me on this one." he said adding a somewhat mischievous smile. " 'matter of fact, seems like I'm already in a little bit right now and we haven't even started leave yet, or hell even finished breakfast."

Bors chuckled a bit at his own joke, and took a few bites of the cinnamon apples on his tray thought to himself, about what he was actually going to do on leave, he had never been to Hanako's World before so he didn't exactly have any clue WHAT there was to do. Before anything though he thought looking at his current uniform I'm pry going shopping for something less flashy.

Eucharis - Wardroom - Midnight

After her return from the captured NMX Escort, and the delivery of the cargo she worked hard to secure, Helen found herself in a situation of once again being between major tasks. Filing a report was simple, and was handled within a matter of minutes, and it left her with little more to do than to think, and that left her hands idle, and there were plenty of old Nepleslian sayings about idle hands, and she was a firm believer in a good sum of them.

What Helen's relatively free time resulted in, was her ability to mind her physical situation. Earlier, she had a sizable portion of her body mass cut away, a large quantity of her metallic components and usable reserves of energy were also burnt off. What was left of Helen after her mission was a thinner and leaner woman, mostly due to structural limitations imposed by lost material, it left her feeling small, and somewhat like a basic Yamataian, and it produced a frown upon her lips. It was displeasing enough to result in her raiding some of the supplies she had brought aboard from the YC-28, and among those supplies, was a cache of Type 29 rations, which she rounded up and carried with her to the wardroom, one of the few locations on the ship where the consumption of food and drink was permitted.

With her acquisition of her own supply of food, Helen went about a binge, as she stuffed her face with a variety of rations. As she devoured her post-mission feast, she went about lining up the canisters which the rations were packed in. As she ate, her powerful metabolism worked to process proteins, starches, sugars, and other components of her food into hemosynthetic material. Once the legitimate food was gone, Helen went about consuming the simple metal utensil which came with each ration container, then the containers themselves. Eventually, the table was cleared, the rations, the containers, and everything within them had been consumed by the NH-27, and served to make the woman whole.

Feeling whole again, Helen left the wardroom and thought about getting some sack time in... that was when she realized, her quarters were cleaned out. She was a 'guest' aboard the ship, and it left her without a place to sleep. "Some hospitality..." Helen mumbled, before she made her way to the only place which came to mind after dome deliberation, and another stop at the cargo bay and a dip into the supplies from her ship.

Helen's destination was the power armor bay, and once there, she looked upon the battered and ripped apart framework which was her Kylie which she used in the last mission. A frown crossed her lips once more, as she looked upon the old machine, and then to the neighboring Mindy units, and knew that the mission could have easily gone either way. Her frown, eventually became a scowl as she clenched her jaw and set down the supplies she brought from the cargo bay. A soft sigh left her, before she approached her Kylie and began to remove components that were able to be salvaged. As she pulled components off, she used her link to the PANTHEON network to educate herself in engineering concepts on the fly, much like one would use a manual to learn how to fix a vehicle... but it went directly into her computerized brain.

Without a place to sleep, Helen took to labor to help her thoughts, as she had two piles eventually. One pile of scraps which she would have set aside to be recycled, and a pile of salvaged equipment which she would apply to her current project. Upon opening a case from her cargo container, Helen set to the next leg of her project as she pulled pristine components of a disassembled Kylie from the case, and began to piece them together, along with the salvaged components from her old machine.

Eucharis - Power Armor Bay - 0400

"Just like putting together a NSP..." Helen mumbled to herself, as she went about the tail end of the work on her Kylie. Piece by piece she built the replacement machine, verifying the installation of each component with MEGAMI's assistance, even calling upon an interactive volumetric display to indicate the way which everything should have fit together. She found the work to be therapeutic, as she brought the machine to proper form.

As Helen worked, her mind did wander, it wandered to memories long ago, it wandered to the recent missions she had been on with the Eucharis, it wandered to thoughts of what would come. Though, the thoughts that were most prominent were thoughts of the last mission. There was every possibility that it could have blown up in her face. She thought back to the NMX cloning facilities, and just how close her and Reika came to death for the sake of dragging that body out. As she thought on the matter of the near-miss that almost killed her, she gently tapped the chest of her Kylie. "Thank you." she spoke softly, before continuing to work and think. One thing was clear in her mind; the way the mission went was certainly not perfect, but, it was far better than the usual which she had come to expect from working with the Shosho.

Eventually, Helen's work paid off, as the completed Kylie stood before her, suspended on its service rack. As she looked upon her armor, Helen smiled for but a moment, before yawning and thinking on how nice it would be to have a cabin still. She quirked her brow though, as she looked upon her Kylie, then gave a soft shrug as she went about climbing into the machine, and resting within it as she closed her eyes and caught a short bit of sleep.

Eucharis - Breakfast Time

Helen's short sleep was enough for her as her eyes opened and she climbed out from her machine. Hunger still seemed more important, and that hunger was what drove her to make her way to the wardroom, as she stepped in and made her way to the serving tables. Her gaze went about the room as she walked through it though, she took inventory of who was gathered, before she went about gathering a hefty plate of food. Quietly, she went about taking a seat at one of the booths as she soon went about digging into her meal.

Misato got up and grabbed a little bit of food for herself and a half cup of coffee so that others could have some. Her plate she sat down at the table with the rest of the folks. it was interesting that they were going to get leave. "Uhh not to interrupt but what all is there to do there. I've never been there." She slowly ate some of her food and watched the others.

"I believe that, Riko-Hei," chuckled Konoka, taking another bite of cinnamon apples.

Hearing Misato's question, Konoka blinked and swallowed, then replied, "What to do? Well, there's a shopping area where a bunch of us bought some party clothes last time....and there's a beach, if you want to swim or sunbathe or whatever. And last time we were here, we had what I think was a fleet-wide dance party."

She looked at Hanako, who had probably had a hand in organizing said event last time.

She grinned. "Shosho?", she asked with a smile, "got anything awesome planned for us this time around?"

Wardroom

"I figured I would go to the beach, visit the vineyard, maybe get pampered at a resort," Hanako said. "It is a good planet to for tourism."

The Shosho leaned back in her chair a little. "But before we get too focused on leave, we should discuss yesterday's mission. As you may have heard, the overall attack was a success. And although Team 1 was not able to overload the main reactor, they were able to bring it offline, which allowed our fleet to destroy the station. Team 2 successfully captured a Mishhu ship but suffered heavy losses. Teams 3 and 4 from the Aurora were almost wiped out but managed to recover computer data. We should probably start by listing things that went right, and why. Anyone?"

Sune thought for a moment. "Having the additional firepower provided by the squads of Infantry for us, was an effective counter to the NMX Rippers we kept encountering. Also even when we found ourselves in bad situations, the senior members of Team one worked together and utilized their specialties to find ways to get around obstacles, and deal with threats."

Mitsuko slowly relaxed, picking up her fork again and attempting to take another bite. Again, it was almost to her mouth when she heard Sune speaking to the Neko sitting next to her. She froze up, eyes flickering about as people continued speaking, just in time to spot Ramiro joining Konoka. She wasn't going to forget that incident anytime soon. Turning the other direction, Murakami tried to concentrate on her food, finally getting a few bites before Akemi settled in next to her. She managed a weak smile for the familiar face, even though she felt rather crowded at the moment.

She was able to enjoy a bit of breakfast before she found herself being pulled back into the conversation. Swallowing, she set her fork down and placed her hands in her lap before trying to answer, doing her best not to fidget as Konoka smiled at her. "Yes." Mitsuko nodded at the question about her name. "...um, but...during training, the other girls called me-" She was cut off as the conversation continued, her hesitant response taking a bit too long.

"...I thought I might stay on the Eucharis. I never really got settled in. I didn't even make it to the cargo bay...I'm sure there's plenty of work to do, especially if they're doing a full repair and resupply..."

Of course, all of this was said quietly. And mostly to her plate of food, as she looked down at it instead of the crowd around her. Mitsuko worried about what all they'd be bringing on board, although at least the remaining infantry would certainly be clearing out at port.

Eucharis - Wardroom

After she had grabbed her plate, and took her seat, Helen worked upon devouring her meal, at least until she heard Hanako's voice bring up the topic of the last mission. At that point, Helen knew her meal could wait, as she chimed in, after all, she was a group leader, it was to be expected. "Shosho, from the standpoint of Team Two, I can say the mission was successful due to the availability of proper support units, a proper insertion plan, and a suitable team composition which allowed our team to carry out our mission successfully. I would also like to give credit to the support infantry, which bravely carried out their service. I would also like to voice my approval of the crew assigned to my team, this approval is both as a Shosa, and as a long-time veteran of the Star Army. They performed well, well enough so I would hope that their actions would be recognized properly based upon the data available, and, my recommendation."

When no one accepted his offer, Takeyu took one of the biscuits he had with cheese and took a bite out of it. Listening to the debriefing, he had to bite his tongue when Helen started bragging about her team and their successes, he wondered of Hanako knew about Helen abandoning team one to the Rippers and essentially not caring about their survival.

He would speak, but he didn't exactly know how to word what he wanted to say, after all he didn't want to make it sound like he was bragging or anything. Instead, he thought about what 'did not' go right, their exposure when Riko Bors ran right out in front of an NMX Neko was very fresh in his mind. Takeyu's attempt at disabling the elevator, and it's occupant by firing into it just wasn't successful due to not getting to the door in time to jam it.

Leaning back in his chair and thinking, he finally decided to speak up, though not of his concerns or what went wrong but of the current topic at hand. "The recruits we had on our team, along with those who were not recruits, followed the orders given by Sune-Shosa and myself without hesitation and without issues. It's thanks to them that we were able to get out alive, with only one crew member who was badly injured but survived the mission."

He smiled worriedly at Konoka, before taking another bite out of the biscuit. "I think several things played right, as mentioned the firepower that we had allowed us to overwealm the Rippers we ran into. Not to mention that despite where we *landed*, we had an almost direct path to the stations reactor which helped save some time and didn't require us to journal all over the station to find." Of course, he neglected to mention, the landing had also dumped them into a perverbial killing field with only the skill of the squad that kept them alive.

"It sounds like overall both teams did well, and the infantry support was very helpful. I will certainly consider assigning infantry escorts to you for future missions where tgere are many enemies," Hanako said. "Whatvare some things oyr crew should improve on based on the mission? What were some thing that went wrong?" she asked.

Wardroom

'And here it comes' Natsumi thought to herself as the subject of what went wrong on the mission was brought up. She had been dreading the thought of a public discussion of it since they had returned to the ship. She grabbed her mug of coffee and took a long drink from it, using it to hide her suddenly red face from everyone

Wardroom

Misato sat there eating, she didn't really have anything more to add to the conversation. The only thing she was concerned about the mission was the dead Neko from her squad. As the Sho'Sho' ask about the things that might have gone wrong, she could feel the temp in the room drop a few degrees. She knew that was tension with in the crew. the whole display between the higher ups before the mission was enough to show it to her.
