"A bit more than a spring cleaning," remarked Takeyu with a sigh. "Seem's the NMX just don't want me to keep the place clean, perhaps I should foot them the bill for cleaning supplies and repair work."

Wardroom

"I'd like to help with whatever you're going to see to cleaning," Akemi said immediately after Takeyu finished speaking. She figured he must be an excellent person to ask about what most urgently needed attention since he knew the ship inside and out.

As everyone started to dissipate to go clean Bors decided to leave as well. Not really know what he should be cleaning Bors decided to go hunt down a mop and broom and start cleaning the hallways, If any one needs me for something particular ill be easy enough to find.

"Nah, I wouldn't even bother," Ramiro responded with a grin. "With the amount of damage they've caused to this ship, their check would probably bounce." Making his way towards the door of the wardroom he stopped and indicated out the doorway. "After you, since you know what needs fixing and cleaning better than I."

Konoka was glad to hear that her side of the debate seemed to have won out. A break was going to be nice! She was in an even better mood than usual. Hanako's World and less lethal missions, she thought. Reminds me of my newbie days! She smiled and hopped up.
"I'm going to go clean the MedBay," Konoka announced. "If anyone wants to help."

Wardroom

"Well, if you're going to do that instead, I'll join you." Akemi hadn't meant to not team up with her, she just thought she might decide to do the same as her.

When lunchtime eventually came, burgers were on the menu for lunch while the ship docked at Gemini.

Gemini Station’s interior was centered around huge concourses that resembled a large commercial spaceport. The station walls were glossy white with teal accents and the station was decorated in a tropical theme palm and coconut trees and pineapple plants around in large pots along the walls. The concourses were fairly crowded with Star Army personnel in duty and service dress uniforms and also civilian clothing, but they were also so large that the crowds did little to impede movement on moving walkways, carts, and rail systems. To start their leave, crew members had to see Hanako with their partner(s) and itinerary plans. No one was permitted to go all alone. Once Hanako approved the leave, she would give out a ticket for a transport to the surface. Anyone that didn’t take the offer of leave would be stuck on Gemini for the duration of the repairs.

Still on ship..

Takeyu stretched his arms, the cleaning and repair work now done with, he wondered what to do with the leave. He knew he wanted to have some fun, and wanted to see what would be most enjoying - given how this was his first time on this world, he wasn't entirely certain what was available.

So, he headed back to the wardroom to think about what to do, and also see if anyone was interested in joining him.

Eucharis Wardroom

After having finished helping out with the cleaning and tidying up her cabin with her roommate Victory, Reika cleaned herself up and headed for the wardroom for some much needed lunch. She still needed to decide exactly what she would do for shore-leave and exactly who she would go with -- it was generally standard policy that shoreleave be conducted in groups of two or more so that if something went wrong, one had a partner to help get oneself out of trouble.

With a sigh, Reika grabbed a plate with a nice fat burger on top and proceeded to join Takeyu at the table, flashing the engineer a slight grin.

"Decided where you're headed for leave yet, Nayacesen-Shoi?" The neko asked curiously before taking a bite out of her meal.

Eucharis - Lunchtime

While the crew used the time between breakfast and lunch to clean, it left Helen, who was without quarters, time to herself. Mainly, she used the time to rest, to recover physically from the previous mission. She used the crew lounge for a nap, that was until lunch was ready, that was when she woke and returned to the wardroom, to sit down with an ample serving of burgers, as she took a solitary seat once again and mulled over the matter which had come to her attention through the ship's computer.

There was a frown on Helen's lips as she thought on the matter of planetside leave, it was tempting, that was for certain. Even as a long-time veteran, she knew she needed the rest and relaxation after the last few months of the war. There was a problem though, what Helen had not done since she became a 'visitor' on the Eucharis, was make any friends. Certainly, she felt she could trust a few of the crew members in a combat zone, but, she never did have the chance to befriend any of them enough to seek out their companionship during leave.

Mulling over the matter, Helen grasped one of her burgers in hand, and took a hearty bite from it. As she slowly chewed the mouthful of bun, meat, and toppings, she thought on the possibility of just choosing a crew member at random, which she immediately dismissed as tasteless. As she worked the mouthful of burger finer and finer between her teeth, she mulled over the officer-ranked possibilities, which were slim as well. By the time she swallowed her mouthful of burger, Helen had begun to think that perhaps staying on the station would be the most likely case, and as the food slid down her throat, the notion of missing out on a proper leave left a bitter taste behind.

Urgh, why would I need a travel partner to go lay in the sun and read a book? Or to go swimming in a hotel pool? Or to eat at a buffet? I just want to be somewhere without walls. Helen thought as she continued her meal, until another thought came to mind; At times like this, I wish I were Nepleslian in body, I'd find my leave in a bottle, or in an injection. she mused, as she continued in one of the physical indulgences which her synthetic flesh could truly appreciate, as she moved onto her second burger.

"I am, haven't been to this world before, so I'm not entirely certain what it offers." Standing there in thought, Takeyu stared at the wall for a few moments before turning toward Reika "You up for joining me?"

Natsumi stepped into the wardroom, having worked up quite an appetite helping clean the ship. She filled her plate with a couple hamburgers with cheese, peppers and other fixings, then found herself a spot at the table to settle in.

She still did not know what she was going to do for shore leave, let alone who she was going to go with. This would be her first leave ever. She didnt really know what to do with all the upcoming free time. So far all of her short six months had been training and education in preparation for her entering the service, then assignment to the ship.

About the ship

Misato work with her roommate for a few hours till the ship arrived at the station. Murakami had said during the chores that she planned on staying on the ship, but Misato would not hear of anything of the sort, "You and I are going to go shopping, and fine some civy clothes. And maybe go and get in a little trouble," she said the last part as a joke.

On the way to the Wardroom

After leaving her roommate to get ready Misato went to the ward room to look for the Sho'Sho', but on the way she ran in to Shosa Helen, 'Hello ma'am, uhh, so you have any plans for the r&r we have before us?

Unlike others, Akemi already had plans. She queried the ship for Hanako's location and went straight to her. Once she was a few feet from her she stopped and spoke. "Excuse me ma'am, I hate to ask this, but could you make an exception for me regarding the need for each member of the crew to have a partner to accompany them during our leave? I was hoping to spend some time alone with a civilian friend."

"Akemi, the rule is for security," Hanako explained. "Even in safe places like this and Kyoto, there could still be undercover enemy agents or terrorists looking to cause us harm. For precautionary reasons, we should stay in groups and carry guns when feasible. Why not take one of the cooks or cargo specialists as a chaperone?"

"I was sent a message signed by Tamahagane Hikaru asking me to notify his corporation when I had leave so that a representative of the Taichimora Entertainment Technologies Division could meet with me regarding a business opportunity. If I were to request security to escort me to and from the meeting place as well as anywhere else I might go and to be provided with a place to stay where I would continue to be guarded, would it then be alright if I didn't have a crew member with me or a schedule submitted? I really want to be alone with my friend and I'd hate to impose upon any of my fellow crew members."

Wardroom

After storing the cleaning supplies he took out Bors returned to the Wardroom, grabbing a few burgers from the line along with some cheese and mayo, and took an open seat. Forming his burger into a double cheese burger with mayo, he took a bite and mulled over what to do on leave.

"Ill defiantly have to get some civs, that's defiantly in order," Bors said to himself as he leaned back in his chair scratching his chin, "Might go to the beach and then to a club.... or maybe just a bar and have a drink or twelve."

Taking another bite of his burger, Bors glanced around wondering what everyone else was planning.

"We have to provide our own security," Hanako replied. "I will assign Mango to travel with you. She is a good protector who is not very demanding. I will send her a memo on it right away."

With that settled, Hanako waited for crew members to come get tickets to the surface.

"Thank you ma'am," Akemi said. She bowed to excuse herself and went to her room to contact the necessary people.

Natsumi glanced at Bors as she finished her burger, then picked up a napkin to clean her slender pale fingers. "Want some company?" she asked. She had overheard his comment about going to a beach and club.
