Team 1 - Core

Sune watched as the team attacked the pipes in the distance and the Rippers. He could tell their situation was definitely untenable. Most of the away team was low on solid munitions.

He walked over to one of the fallen Infantry. He removed the helmet from the solder. Made a mental note of who it was. As promised he would set the fallen suits to destruct when they left. As he stood up he heard a strange sound nearby.

Water from the coolant system was flowing across the floor, he followed it to the source of the noise. The water was flowing down a large drain.

"Shoi, I think I may have found us a away out. The water is flowing down this grate. I say we use the plumbing to get out of here and avoid the enemy for a long as we can." He lifted the grate.

"Have you had any luck identifying another ship bay we can try to exploit?" He inquired.

He then sent a status message to the other team, and the ship.
He crossed over to Konoka, removed her damaged helmet and put the salvaged one on her.

"Signe, we are getting out of here, that drain is our doorway. Start getting your people in it." He sent to the team via secure comm.

He then used his suit to help heft Konoka to her feet. "Well Konoka-Chan, looks like we are going to a water park."

Team 1

“We are assigned to protect you at all costs,” Signe told Sune between shots. “You should go ahead while we hold them back.”

Takeyu’s drones found seemingly endless legions of drones in all directions, and he lost most of them to the enemy. One of the remaining ones spotted a wall control panel showing a warning about heat buildup in the core area.

Down in the drain was a cramped pipe sloshing with several centimeters of coolant. It was unclear where it went but it was big enough to scoot a DAISY through but not big enough to turn around it. But it was the only exit not covered in angry Rippers.

Team Two

The bridge door opened to reveal it was empty. Most of the control panels had been shot or smashed and in the center of the bridge was a huge aether torpedo with a volumetric counter above it reading “Nineteen seconds remaining,” and there was a password box below with a grayed-out “Cancel” button.

There was a data interface that someone might be able to connect to.

Team Two - NMX Escort - Aether Hell's Kitchen (Bridge)

Code:
Team One, this is Team Two, you don't want to be here anyways. I'll tell you later if we live.

"Ramiro, Reika, out of the armor, now! Reika, once you're out of your armor get on disarming that torpedo Misaito, get on that torpedo as well! Ramiro, see if you can get a link-up to the NMX ship systems." Helen spoke as she tore the helmet from her armor, then went about partially climbing her way out of her Kylie before using the forearm weapon to cut off her own armor's legs and an arm. With the limbs of the armor removed, she quickly finished climbing out as she placed the armor against the NMX warhead. "Mitsuko, get the arms and legs off the other armors!" she ordered firmly, before she began to configure the teleport module of her armor, and remotely began to do the same for Reika and Ramiro's "We're setting up a back-up plan." Helen explained.

Though the door had opened Akemi stayed where she was and continued to guard the hallway the last two Rippers had come from. She recalled her drones to recharge them and afterwards sent one to monitor the hallway by the bridge.

Team One

Bors and the Remainder of his squad tried their best to keep the Rippers at bay but were slowly being pushed back towards the rest of Team One. Firing another salvo of rounds at the advancing rippers and reloaded with his last remaining magazine.Looks like ill have to be more accurate with my shots now he chuckled to himself.

"Hate to spoil the party," Bors said taking refuge behind one of the remaining monitors, "But whats the plan here Boss? my rifle may be more effective as a club soon." Poking his head out Bors fired a few rounds at the advancing rippers before adding sarcastically "But you know, no hurry."

Mitsuko's suit was at full power now, and her brain was quickly catching up. She glanced back, through the now-open doors, finally getting a glimpse of the bridge they'd fought so hard to reach. She suddenly wished her mind was still foggy, so she wouldn't be able to fully comprehend the situation they were in. For a few precious seconds, she just stared, before Helen's shouts stirred her into action.

Although she wasn't quite sure what Helen was planning, she didn't think there was enough time to explain further, or discuss any alternatives. Murakami quickly backed onto the bridge to join the others, switching from shield to sword as she mimicked the way the officer had prepared the suits. While she worked, she appreciated how quickly the blade sliced through their own suits, compared to how little effect they had on the Rippers.

"On it!" Ramiro responded. He didn't need telling twice. Although he would have preferred to be disarming the torpedo rather than having the new person do it, orders were orders. He piled out of the armor as quickly as possible and the sprinted into the bridge. He located the station that seemed to be the most in-tact and pulled up whatever interfaces he could possibly access. Step number one was to get the systems to do something, even if it was only be to ask for a password. His second step would be to gain full access to the ship, or at least access to as many systems as possible.

Reika briefly felt shock at the sight of the aether torpedo situated in the center of the bridge chamber -- each second counting down to their destruction. Whilst her first impulse might have been to follow Helen's orders and shed the weight of her armor -- the neko also immediately knew that without the direct interface with her suits AIES and the decrypting software she had loaded into its memory, her chances of successfully determining the correct password to disarm the bomb in time were slim. The chances of physically disarming the device were also remote in the time available.

Using precious moments Reika crossed over to the bomb as fast as she was able and in conscious defiance of Helen's instruction, linked her armor up to the device via the data interface. There was no time to stand around and pick off bits of her Daisy.

The neko operative activated the hacking and decryption software she had installed -- once active the program near-instantly began infiltrating the devices hardware and under her mental guidance began seeking out the password or code that would render the bomb inert.

As she worked, the neko's gaze slid past the number on the bombs counter display -- steadily approaching zero.

You can do this Reika... you were trained precisely for this kind of thing. The neko operative encouraged herself mentally -- though her internal dialogue could do little to overcome the exhaustion and fear that seeped through her. Though her SAINT training thoroughly covered demolitions and computer infiltration, she had little time in which to work and the clock was ticking.

Team 1 - Core

"Riko-Hei, we are leaving, you and your team hit the drain and get moving go with the flow. We will follow behind. Everyone into the drains. Shoi, you get in just after me. Once you drop down blow the charges. We can not give the NMX time to try to remove them." He crossed over to the grate.

"Signe once the Shoi blows the charges, get you people into that pipe. Everyone alive goes down there, you understand. I will be self-destructing the dead soldiers armor to prevent the NMX from defiling their bodies.

Move it people... now. "

Team 2, NMX Ship Bridge

The aether torpedo spat out some code at Reika.

Code:
01010111 01101001 01100110 00100000
01100100 01100010 01110001 01100100
01100110 01101111 01101111 01100010
01110111 01101010 01110010 01110001
00100000 01100100 01110010 01100101
01100110 00100000 01101010 01110110
00100000 01000100 01011001 01001111

Meanwhile, Ramiro was able to find a (mostly) working control panel that he could probably use to connect to the damaged ones like propulsion.

Team Two - NMX Escort - Bridge

There was only a brief glance from Helen in the direction of Reika as she went to work upon the torpedo. There was no arguement to be given from her, she knew that Reika's skill-set was well suited to the task, and more so, she knew that as a SAINT operative, she knew the risk of what she was doing as well... not to mention, who was going to know she was being insubordinate if the device went off? It drew a soft exhale from Helen, as she spoke; "Reika, be advised, if you fail I'm going to activate the teleport devices of these power armor units, as well as your own, to teleport essential components of the warhead out of the device."

Team 2 NMX Escort Ship

Tomomi moved quickly into the bridge once the door was open. But her eyes widen when she saw the torpedo sitting in the room. How the NMX even got it in there only flashed in the back of her hand. She was about to hook herself to the torpedo to hack the system, but Helen's order stopped her dead in her tracks. Tomomi noted the fact that Helen didn't directly order her to do anything. She really had no idea why that was the case, but it did not bother her to much.

Tomomi took a position to watch Reika while she waited for Helen to notice she was even there.

Team Two

Nine seconds.

Team One

"Don't have to tell me twice"

Bors said before motioning his squad into the pipe. After two of his squad mates entred the tunnel Bors followed letting the last member bring up the rear. At least this stuff is somewhat sanitary.. Bors thought as he sloshed through the coolant in the pipe.

Team 1

Takeyu only nodded at what the Shosa said and tightened his grip on the detonator as he started backing away toward the Grate but stopped short and got into cover to protect Sune's back and those who were getting inside.

Team 1 - Core Pre-Flush

Sune carried Konoka over to the grate and carefully lowered her down to the surviving members of her and his infantry. He looked at Takeyu, gave a nod and dropped into the drain. Once at the bottom he started crawling behind the soldiers.

Team 1

Takeyu looked over at the Signe, hoping that he and his infantrymen did manage to get out of this alive, before turning toward the grate and jumping down the hole. The moment he landed on the bottom, he triggered the explosives above, and listened for the explosions to ensure they all go off.

"Ma'am, I've got positive access." Ramiro called out as his fingers flew across the keyboard. Immediately he began searching for some sort of system, device, or program that would be able to manually disarm or disable the torpedo. He hoped that it would be listed somewhere in the ships armaments database, and thus the ship would have control over the torpedo. He paused for a moment to wipe some sweat off of his forehead before continuing the task in front of him.

Team Two - NMX Escort - Bridge

"Tomomi, network with Reika's armor and work with her to disarm that torpedo." Helen spoke, clearly she was busy with her efforts in regard to setting up the back-up plan. Though, another possibility presented itself; "Ramiro, check for emergency internal forcefield controls. If available, set them to establish a forcefield around this room and shut the blast doors before that timer goes off. Ramiro, once you have it set, get out of here, everyone else minus Reika and Tomomi, get out of here now." With that, Helen stepped away from her finished project, if her part of the plan failed, she wanted a backup that would at least give her most of the ship intact.
