Cab

The Cab pulled up to the main entrance of the mall, coasting to a stop. Natsumi excitedly exited the vehicle and paid the driver while Bors got out after.

"Ohh so exiting!" she said, grinning. "Time to look for cool stuff!" she squeaked and started off into the mall. She wasn't sure what she wanted to look at first, there were so many things to see.

"Come on, slow poke!" she laughed and wrapped her arms around Bors left arm and pulled him along with her. "Let's go shopping!"

"Your right Mimi-chan, I'll leave the bike here for know," Misato looked down at her communicator then back to her roommate, "Well I think we are done here, unless I missed something, Why don't we go grab a bite to eat then go shopping?"

She Got the case of wine and the bottle of whiskey and got it ready to drag out to the cab.

Sune smiled as he watched Takeyu's sister's rush over to meet Hanako. They both seemed to be adapting to life on Yamatai in the aftermath of the war. He made a mental note to talk with his friend once they were back on the ship to see if there was anything he could do to help.

He leaned over to Emiko, "We will have to see about making arrangements for you when I ship out again, and to get my personal affects onto the Eucharis. Please give some thought about if you want to continue to use the Raia for your accommodations or if you would like an apartment."

After they finished eating, Sune, Hanako and the cooks said their goodbyes and went back to the rental van to stop at the spaceport, where Victory and Pineapple helped load the gift boxes into the cargo bay. The two orange-panel nekos joined the group in the van afterward.

As the van moved across the huge swathes of flat snow on concrete, the windows afforded them a view of various other starships, mostly light cargo ships and dropships with forklifts, trucks, and container handlers delivering cargo.

As they grew closer to the edge of the landing area they passed right next to a giant lot of parked shuttles, mostly T7 Raccoons and T8 Kumas along with a large number of heavily-used T4s from ships that were scrapped years ago.

Next, the van passed through the base, where they could see other soldiers and trainees walking around on the base. There was an Alterations and Embroidery shop along the road.

After passing through the gate's scanner arch, the van as out in the ciity itself.

Once again came to the large high-walled building made out of white stone, with an entrance made of huge bamboo poles and a sign on it read "Kyoto no Hoshiguntai Ichiban Onsen" in kanji. A smaller sign read "reserved for private use this afternoon."

After checking the group in in the large marble-floored lobby, Hanako went into women's changing room and fully undressed, putting her uniform in one of the locker, entering in a passcode on its small electronic display. She then went out into the gender-neutral large bathing room and sat on a short wooden stool while she gave herself a shower.

"Aye!" the two said and looked at the princess. The girls watched Hanako and nodded at what she said, then looked over at Emiko with a curious look. Layven knew who Sune was, but Sakura did not and only knew what Layven at told her.

"How are you doing?" Layven asked of Sune, while Sakura continued to look at Emiko curiously.

Mitsuko seemed relieved at her roommate's reaction, letting out a little sigh. "Oh good. Y-yes, lunch sounds good...but, at this rate, we'll miss the captain and the others." She happily helped Misato move some items to the cab, before they took off. "Is is okay to leave everything in here while we shop? We have lots of stuff to buy. I...I've never really had a chance, or reason, to do so much shopping before..." She was a bit nervous about giving gifts. Murakami didn't want to leave anyone out, but she didn't know what everyone might want. She didn't want to buy them a bad present, either!

"Well I plan on having the cab go back to the ship to drop most of this off, after it drops us off." Misato got in the cab motioning Mimi-chan to do the same. "Well lets get some shopping done then we can send a message to see if she and the group is still at the bathhouse."

Mall

"Well First what do you want to shop for first? the only things i plan of getting is a nice out fit for you and maybe if I find any maybe a few new books." Misato said looking at the mall map.

Mitsuko clung to her roommate's side as they made their way into the busy shopping area. She was having flashbacks to their last shore leave already. The shops, the crowds, the continuous torrent of information. Murakami wasn't as overwhelmed as she had been that first trip, but it was still going to take some getting used to. The map was a helpful distraction. It only took moments to download it and begin comparing the list of shops to the list of crew members.

She blushed as Misato reminded her about her plans for new clothing. "You really don't have to...but, thank you. I need to buy you a gift, too, Suzume-chan." Mitsuko squeezed the other Neko's arm a bit tighter. "...then there's the rest of the crew...and Klein-Chusa, and Konoka-Hei, since they transferred." She made a face. "...finding a way to get a gift to them might be complicated. Hmph."

"I am doing fine Layven, you seem to be doing well. I see you have been reunited with your sister. So this has been a good year for you." Sune said in response to her question.

Emiko returned Sakura's look, "Hello, you are Sakura, Takeyu-San's younger sibling. My name is Jalen Emiko, I am here with Sune-San. Do you have a question? Or is there something wrong with my appearance? You are two are the first young Yamataian's I have had the opportunity to meet." she said.

After the meal Emiko turned to Sune. "Sensei, I believe I have had sufficient social interaction for one day. With your permission I would like to return to the hotel."

"Certainly Emiko, go ahead and take the Zephyr I will catch a ride with Hanako to the Onsen. Thank you for coming with me, it has been pleasant spending the day with you." he replied.

Sune caught a ride with Hanako in the van, the trip to the Eucharis was good because he could check to see if the parcels he had ordered were delivered. He looked at the ship with mixed emotions, only walked in far enough to verify his delivery had arrived safely.

He watched Hanako more than the scenery, after all she was more interesting to him than the base. Once they arrived at the Onsen he stepped out and looked around. The falling snow added an interesting aesthetic to the grounds.

He went into the men's changing room and took off his garments, folded each of the neatly and put them into the locker he selected. He entered a passcode to secure them and went into the bathing room. Sune paused at the entrance as he watched Hanako enter the room and find her place, then he walked in and found himself a stool nearby and turned on the shower.

"Do you remember the last time we came here, Sune?" Hanako asked as she scrubbed her legs with a sponge. "I enjoyed it a lot. I remember I had just been promoted and you asked me what felt like home. I said the Eucharis felt like home so much that I refused a bigger ship that Taisho Yui offered. And I remember asking about your love life."

"Firstly yes I do. I have so much and you so little, plus I want to something special for you." Misato really did enjoy the fact that Mimi-chan was holding on to her arm.

She thought for a bit then spoke, "Well... that is easy, I can ship them though my business, It'll get to them. Also I need to come up with something very nice for Taii Nayacesen Takeyu. I owe him a lot for saving all our collected butts after I lead us just short of our doom." She saw a clothing store and lead Mimi-chan towards it, "Well what kind of clothing would you like?"

Suzume looked around few a few seconds and then led her friend over to a set of dresses, "What do you think, want to try some of these on?"

Sune smiled as he recalled the episode. "Yes, I do recall that time. We had a great deal of emotion and excitement that time. Not really as relaxing an event as we had hoped. I truly hope that this visit will go much better.

Although I also recall that while you asked us to share information about our love lives. You did not share." he said with a grin.

"Oh? You really already have all your shipping services worked out?" Mitsuko seemed a little impressed. "I don't know very much about Takeyu...sorry." She couldn't think of much to suggest, as she let Misato lead her to the clothing store. "Perhaps some...new tools? Or a subscription to a technical magazine? Maybe he'd enjoy puzzles or some type of crafting hobby?"

She finally loosened her grip on her roommate's arm once they were inside the store. It wasn't nearly as crowded as the corridors outside. Murakami examined the dresses, selecting a few that should fit. "I need something warm...it's so cold out there!" She shivered just thinking about it. "Maybe some tights, a long jacket, boots, some gloves, a scarf, a big hat..."

Checking things off her list, she let Misato assist her in picking things out. Soon enough she'd be moving to the changing rooms to assemble an outfit. Or two.

"There was not much to share," Hanako told Sune. "Since I was assigned the Eucharis, I have not been intimate with anyone else. Although Yaichiro had expressed some interest." Hanako paused for a moment as she rinsed some shampoo out of her hair. "All of the troublemakers that disrupted the mood last time--Hakujou, Michael, and Helen--are elsewhere now. I trust in my people to behave."

Once Hanako finished her shower, she took a towel and went down the staircase leading down into the pool.

The main bathing area was a large basin about a meter deep and bordered by huge, neatly stacked smooth rectangular rocks on them. The water was slightly murky from the natural minerals in it and it has a faint fog of water vapor rising from the surface. Despite the frigid air and heavy snow coming down from the sky, it was warm and soothing. Behind the pool was a beautiful flower garden with a series of small waterfalls running down mossy stones to where the water made its way from the hot spring to the pool.

The pool was divided by bamboo walls so that there was a portioned-off section for men and one for women, but these sections were only a portion of the size of the main area. A wooden sign near the edge of the pool read "For the matters of love, please bring these to the hotel room," in Yamataian.

Things are progressed quite quickly, when the girls had gotten an answer to their question they didn't have much time to ask another before they found themselves quickly following their brother out to the van to join Sune and Hanako.

Takeyu had made certain to get his gifts ordered while he was looking for the girls, so he had everything settled and ready to go and when they got the Eucharis he had checked to see if everything was there. Good, he smiled at the gifts that had arrived.

When they got to the Onsen, Takeyu made his way into the changing room and stored his clothing in a secured locker before heading into the showering room.

"That it is, but it won't always be. you should look at more then winter cloths." Misato looked around for some of the things that Mitsuko listed off. "What colors do you like."

Misato started pulling different things off the racks, including a leather jacket with wool lining. "Try these, uhh maybe I should get him a tech journal subscription." She saw a few things that she liked and grabbed them to try on.

Sune finished his shower and took a moment to watch Hanako. He then turned off the water and grabbed his towel and left the showers. He stepped out into the pool area.

He took a second to see where Hanako had chosen to sit and smiled when he saw that she was in the area for both genders. He walked over and put his towel on a stone next to hers and entered the water. The Onsen was just as fascinating as the last time, then there was the rain falling into the pool with them. This time they had snow falling and the cool air which made the fog. He settled onto a bench near Hanako's.

Mitsuko blinked at the rather mundane question. "...colors? Um...I don't know." She paused near the changing rooms, already wearing one of the outfits she'd wanted to test out, clothes and accessories stacked inside. "I've never really thought about it." She was obviously considering it now, thinking back to her purchases during their last shore leave, as well as her uniform. "...I think I like...orange. Mmm..." Murakami nodded, seeming satisfied.

"I guess I need a pair of pants, too. Um...I don't think I'm the leather jacket type, Suzume-chan. It would look fine on you, though."

Natsumi cheerfully dragged Bors around from one shop to the next on her quest to find winter clothing. There were so many options and so many stores to explore.

She found herself in a shop with a lot of stylish and comfy looking womans clothing. Looking around a bit she found a few things to try, a pair of long sleeve v-neck shirts, one deep blue, one green, a soft grey and pale blue sweater, long black skirt and a pair of deep blue slacks.

"I'm going to try these on!" Natsumi announced to her roomie, then found herself a changing room.

Once in the changing room, she pulled off her uniform and tried everything on. Deciding she liked what she had once she was done and back in uniform she went up and purchased her selection, adding a pair of comfy mittens. As well.

Natsumi went to the next store over, which stocked outer wear and hats and the like and looked around. She didn't want to have to use her uniform overcoat every time it was cold on shore leave.

After some time looking at several different coats she liked Natsumi selected a long gray tweed frock coat as well as a brown wide brimmed fadora and a long scarf.

With that pirchase complete she decided to find Bors, she had lost track of him in the other shop and hoped he didn't think she hadgone missing on him.
