Shuttle Bay

Takeyu had been going back and forth, taking some of the items from the shuttle and placing them where they would need to go. He stopped briefly when he saw the shuttle that Sune and the others had been on, and watched those crewmen as they disembarked.

He moved a few more components, then headed into the PA Bay to put his Mindy away. Once he was out of the armor, stretching his legs a bit, he headed towards Medical for the routine checkup.

"Yes Ma'am." Misato responded to the the Sho'sho. She headed down to the PA bay. She climbed out of the PA and got it stored before putting her uniform back on. Once she got everything in it's place she when up and waited her turn for a shower. She was glad to rinse off the sweat, she collected during the operation.

She Moved up to the Med bay and waited for the Medic to greenlight her.

Natsumi was so happy to be back on the ship. She helped bring Conrad to medical, then gladly followed the Shosho's orders to clean up in the decontamination shower. The white haired Neko stripped off her dirty and worn AMES suit and discarded it for cleaning and repairs, followed by her undergarments, blushing a little bit at her public state of undress. She quickly hopped into a shower before anyone got an eye full.

Turning on the shower, the hot water washed over her body and soaked her long thick hair. "Oh this is so nice!" she said, the water felt so good and made her skin tingle. She soaped up, cleaning her self off, then grabbed the bottle shampoo and applied a decent amount to her hair and spent a good couple of minutes washing it.

She could not express how much better this made her feel. Being away from HX-24 and its filth and Gravedigger. She sighed, looking down at the healing wound on her thigh as she finished washing the last of the shampoo out of her hair. She had never been wounded in combat before. She had expected it would happen eventually, but it was still shocking when it had happened. She was glad it had not been worse than it was at least.

Alas, despite that she would have enjoyed it, the shower could not last forever. All clean now, others needed it more than she did, so she shut off the water and grabbed a towel, drying herself off.

Done, Natsumi wrapped the big fluffy towel around herself and departed the decontamination shower compartment, crossing the hallway, she smiled at Sienna, then went into the medical bay for her checkup.

She went and stood next to Bors. "I'm really glad you are okay" she said. "I really thought we were going to lose you when we took off and you were not there" she gave him a hug, wrapping her arms tight around him for a long moment before releasing him, almost loosing her towel in the process. She grabbed the towel and kept it secure as she went back to waiting for her turn to be checked up on.

Shuttle Bay

Mitsuko did a double-take when she first spotted Sienna. So, this was their second surprise guest? Her brow furrowed behind her glasses as she went over the same worries she'd had ever since she'd learned each team would be bringing along a passenger. Murakami didn't let herself be distracted for too long, though, hurrying to unload the shuttle. Now that the shuttle Misato had returned on was emptied, it was free for the task she'd heard Hanako mention. Although, at the moment, she wasn't sure it could squeeze past the other shuttle to leave.

While the others headed into the ship for their checkups, Mitsuko moved to the Cargo Bay. Although Hanako herself had already received the new supplies, Murakami wanted to go over the shipment as well. She would double-check everything before beginning to distribute the items. Their shuttles would need to be stocked with body bags, even though this errand made Mitsuko slightly uneasy. The rest of the bags, and the masks, could be left in the Cargo Bay. The trauma kits were set aside to be moved to Medical once it wasn't so crowded.

Finally, the new uniforms. She sorted them, carrying them in twos and fours up to the cabins. They weren't overly heavy, but each one tended to come with plenty of accessories. Mitsuko deposited each one on its new owner's bed, trying not to peek inside more than absolutely necessary. The captain's was hung at the door to her suite, or draped over her chair on the bridge. There was no way Murakami was going inside Hanako's suite, if it was even possible.

Med Bay

Bors wasn't quite sure what to do when Natsumi gave him a hug, feeling a bit awkward with the only thing separating himself from his naked roommate was a thin towel. Quickly ushering those thoughts out of his head he awkwardly gave her a one armed hug and a light pat on the back before she released him.

"It takes a bit more than a lone merc to kill of me so don't worry yourself to much." Bors said regaining some of his lost composure, "As for being ok that i'm not sure about that, may have busted those stitches I got earlier when I tackled Gravedigger, though I think if I did I would of passed out in the shuttle from blood loss. I think I'll let the doc figure out if anythings wrong with me though, medical knowledge isn't exactly my forte."

Shuttle bay

The bumpy ride home didn’t do much to improve Egil’s mood. It would be useless to whine about it though, so he kept his normal straight face up and kept silent for most of the ride. Perhaps a long look at the ship’s computer systems or a marathon worth of running on the treadmill would change that.

When they finally landed in the shuttle bay he helped Natsumi in shouldering Conrad and quickly moved him over to medical. Everyone else proceeded to the showers, but he stuck around a little longer, hoping he’d get some sign of life. The pie and coffee they had spoken of would probably be out of the question, which was a little disappointing. In the meantime he checked on his own stitches, noticed that it was only a minor part of the wound that had reopened and his body had taken care of sealing it on its own. He’d have it checked out later, for now the showers were waiting.

On his way over he passed some of his team who already finished cleaning up, and more already wrapped in towels once he got there. He picked out a shower, grabbed a towel with him, stripped out of his suit and regular clothing and turned on the water as hot as he could bear. He enjoyed a hot shower and this one felt especially nice. After a few minutes of washing off the dirt and grime and trying not to get any soap on his wounds he finished up. He dried off his body and stepped out of the shower. It felt like it he hadn't been this clean in ages.

The short, blue haired woman's single-sentence gratitude somewhat surprised Sienna. The only reply she'd had the chance to give back was an ambiguous pair of raised eyebrows and a faint smirk, then she was gone. Judging from the way everyone cleared a path for her, and her pristine white uniform with its obviously different markings, she judged she must have been one of the higher ranking officers. She couldn't help but chuckle a little at the thought -- a tiny little woman like that standing more than a full head shorter than Sienna bossing around a shipload of monstrously huge giants like Conrad.

It didn't faze or bother her much, however. She hadn't done anything noble or praiseworthy. Not that she was being modest, she truly didn't care whether or not she got any credit for it. The aid she'd provided was her end of a business deal, and one she had profited from now that she was safely offworld. Rattled and aged a bit from the experience, perhaps, but she had gotten what she wanted.

She was, however, stirred up, almost excited by the stockpiles of sophisticated power armor and various other bits of machinery they had on hand. This was cutting edge stuff, the kind of technology she'd only dreamed about for her entire life. What she wouldn't give to be able to get a look inside any one of those devices, or be able to operate one for just a few seconds.

Following behind the small crowd of people to the showers, she rounded the corner and stopped in her tracks. She'd never thought of herself a shy or modest, but now she was second-guessing that, as there didn't seem to be any private changing rooms, or even a segregation of the sexes in the showering facility. It was impossibly clean, like everything else she'd seen so far, but she found herself more apprehensive about undressing in this crowded room than she ever had in the filthiest, most disgusting hovels she'd ever been in. Sure, she caught herself staring at one or two of the more impressive male physiques, even grinning wickedly to herself once or twice, but she couldn't stop her face from flushing red.

Not saying a word or attracting anyone's attention, she slipped over to the far corner with her meager belongings, and waited for the majority of the crowd to disperse before she considered getting undressed. As enticing as the idea of something so luxurious as a hot shower sounded, she'd lived her life in squalor thus far, so she could easily tolerate a few more minutes of being a haggard mess.

Bridge

When Hanako walked onto the bridge she was surprised to find all the chairs on their sides around its edges. Ramiro was down on his knees mounting a newer model to floor and freshly-washed Victory was helping.

"In the logistics containers they sent new bridge chairs," Victory explained.

"Ah," Hanako nodded. "This vessel has often served as a testbed for new...technologies," she observed, taking her seat at the captain's station as soon as it was secure and connected.

Outside the Eucharis

A shuttle from the YSS Firebird with the markings "NS-X1-213-1 Asterism" synchronized motion with the gunship and from its airlock emerged a slender female figure in an AMES spacesuit who floated to the docking port at the top of the main passageway and went inside.

Med Bay

Sienna was one of the last to go through the showers, and aside from the privacy she'd waited for, she considered it a bonus that there was no one else waiting behind her to get in. She couldn't remember ever experiencing something so incredibly luxurious as standing under a cascade of hot water, enveloped by steam, washing away grime and filth that she hadn't even noticed was on her for so long. She had stood beneath the rapturous waterfall for as long as she possibly thought she could get away with, her eyes closed and sighing with pleasure. This was living. "Totally worth the trouble," she murmured happily to herself.

When she no longer heard any noise in the showering facility, she figured she'd best get moving, though she felt like she could spend the next several days there. Cutting the water off, she peeked around the curtain to make sure no one else was there, then found one of the towels the rest of the crew had been using for herself. Wrapping the giant fluffy cloth around her was almost as pleasurable as the shower itself. She almost moaned softly. "This is the military life!?" she muttered again, unable to keep herself from smiling. "Damned if I didn't have all the wrong ideas about it..."

She shook her head, spraying the water from her hair around her, almost letting a sickeningly girlish giggle slip. She secured the towel around her chest and ran her hands through her hair a few times, admiring how clean and untangled it now was. The floor felt refreshingly cold beneath her bare feet, and the towel against her skin was better than ten hours of uninterrupted sleep. Retrieving her dirty clothes, her eyebrows shot up in surprise. Now that she was cleaner than she'd ever been in her life, it was astonishing to see the state of filth she'd been in when she arrived. She grabbed another towel from the rack and wrapped them up in it, grabbed her backpack, and went on to try and find her way out to the med lab for this checkup everyone else was getting.

Medical Lab

Hanako's voice came over the medical lab's intercom: "Good evening, Eucharis crew and guests. It pleases me that everyone made it back alive, although we have some things to discuss over dinner. After your medical exam and treatment please join me in the wardroom for a debriefing and dinner. Since we currently lack a medic, I have contacted Captain Blueberry of the YSS Firebird and their medic, Citrine, has been dispatched to assist us and has just come aboard. We will be departing this star system momentarily. Readiness condition four. Out."

Cabin 4

Mitsuko delivered the new uniforms for Misato and herself last. This gave her time to look over her own in more detail. She hadn't seen something like this since basic training, and it seemed rather ugly and utilitarian, after so long with the sleek, stylish uniforms preferred by non-infantry. Hopefully she'd never have to use it. Still, Murakami dutifully stowed it with her other uniforms, finding places to tuck away the various accessories it had come with.

Looking at the cabin she shared with Misato, she smiled as she noticed it was getting crowded. She'd never really thought she'd own so much stuff. A year ago, before she'd come to her new home on the Eucharis, Mitsuko wouldn't have been able to think of any reason to clutter up her personal space with all of this. Now she was already looking forward to the next shopping spree.

She giggled to herself before exiting her cabin, heading to Medical to meet up with Misato after her checkup was completed. They could discuss what had been found on HX-21 on their way to dinner.

Airlock

After entering the Eucharis, Citrine removed her helmet. She looked around at the ship she had heard so many stories about. She quickly removed the AMES and folded it up. "Charisma-San, Citrine-Santô Hei reporting as requested. Please provide me with directions to the Medical Center." she sent telepathically to the MEGAMI.

"Welcome to the Eucharis, the Away Team members are currently going through decontamination. The medical center is on Deck three, providing visual images." Charisma replied.

Citrine picked up the AMES, and started following the directions provided. So this is the Eucharis... I am the first of the Firebird's crew to come aboard it. Will I get to see Jalen-Chusa... it would be nice to speak with him again." Hearing Hanako's announcement, "So that was the Princess. It would be wonderful if I can at least see her.... leaving...? why? I do not have any of my things." she said to out loud to herself.

Medical Center
She entered the Medical bay and found it full of an assortment of persons. The Nekovalkyrja had pale blonde hair with subtle orange highlights, she smiled her brown eyes bright with the opportunity to help others. "Hello, I am Citrine-Hei of the Firebird. I am hear to render medical assistance." She spotted Conrad and surveyed the Eucharis' medical center. She had the ANU assist her with putting him into the ASMU. Since his injuries were on his back, she positioned him on his chest. She then went to the control panel; she turned on the containment force fields and had the unit start removing the patient's clothes. The unit detected PMS nano's she pulled up the data from them. She programmed a set of instructions into the ASMU, and polarized the CFF to opaque.

"Okay, those of you who were on HX-21 just require screening, kindly come over here to this unit. The ABMU will do a quick check for each of you while I tend to the injured from HX-24."

Showers
Sune had removed his helmet, and placed it by the damaged shuttle. He then made his way cautiously to the decontamination area. He found a place to sit and released his injured arm from the sling. He removed the glove from the damaged arm, and noted a stream of blood that hit the floor. Putting the glove on the floor he worked on removing the glove from his good hand using his mouth to assist.

Sune then stood and started the task of peeling the AMES off one handed. Leaving the damaged suit there he sent a mental note to Charisma to have one of the techs take care of it when they cleaned up the Decon area. He walked over to the showers, and found one that was unoccupied. He closed the shower and turned on the water. He let the heated water just run over his body for several minutes. He then set about to actually cleaning, and lathered up a wash cloth. He scrubbed everything he could reach. He paused briefly to look at the injured arm. The lower part of the arm was unresponsive since he was slammed onto Conrad in the shuttle. There were also indications of internal bleeding, but nothing that the Medical center could not handle. Hearing Hanako's announcement about Citrine's arrival. He smiled briefly when he recalled her interview and her eagerness to prove herself.

Once he was satisfied as to his cleanliness he dried off in the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist, and crossed over to the Medical Center. He watched Citrine with a smile as she set about the task of tending to the crew.

Medical Bay

Egil took a short detour to his cabin to slip into a clean working uniform and then proceeded back to the medical bay. Now that things had calmed down and he’d had a chance to clean up things were looking a little better. He had an urge to sit down and chill out for an hour or two, but dinner would probably fulfill that and he couldn’t really miss out on the debrief.

The medical bay was packed with people from both away missions. Right now Egil was only interested in the condition of one specific member of his team, namely Conrad. The giant was still motionless, but with the appearance of the new medic had at least been moved to the treatment center. Egil wondered if she had been called in just for the mess and this was soon confirmed when she mentioned the Firebird. She did look a lot more at home than he did.

The medic, Citrine, gave them a clear set of instructions and he complied by moving over to the rest of the HX-24 team. The shower took care of most of his headache so he only needed her to look at his stitches and hopefully tell him he was fine. It would be a good idea to ask her about a treatment plan for Conrad so he could get his new android play nurse once he got her up and running.

Medical

Citrine motioned for Egil to come over to the medical table she was standing next to.

Her happy expression faltered for a moment as she looked at his injury from a distance. What happened to him? It looks as if someone tried to slice his throat and... fish... they sewed it shut. How barabaric. she thought. "You are first, let me take a look at that injury."

"Miss Sienna, since you are uninjured you can stand with the other group. But you will need to stay here in medical after the exam." she said looking at the civilian woman.

Medical

Natsumi awaited her turn for checkup. She was fine waiting for the others to go first, they had been through a lot more than she had on the away mission. As it was her wounded leg was already healing up since the Mishhu doctor had removed the slug.

She leaned back against the clean white wall of the medical center, watching the medic, Citrine, from the Firebird do her work. This reminded her how much she missed having the bubbly pink haired medic Konoka aboard. Not having a dedicated medic was potentially an issue. They were lucky Firebird was flying with them and able to provide one since Sune was out of action, wounded himself.

Hanako's mention of dinner at the debriefing was plenty incentive for Natsumi to want to get her exam over with. A hot meal sounded so good right now

Bridge

Hanako patched into the the Firebird's shuttle via PANTHEON and sent it back home on autopilot. Once it was clear, she pulled up the star map on the main view screen and gave Ramiro her orders: "Take us to HX-12. Once we arrive, begin scans of each planet. Let me know if you find anything interesting on them or if there are any other starships in the system. There is still fighting in the nearby HX-13 system so I would not be surprised to signs of the NMX. When we are done investigating, we will continue to HX-14. Engage hyperspace drive when ready. I will be in the wardroom for the debriefing."

Wardroom

The familiar clang of metal dishes and silverware, rumbling of fans, and sizzle of cooking meat emanated from the ship's noisy metallic galley, with the aromas of fresh meats, veggies, and spices wafting out into the wardroom. A display on the wall showed the night's menu:

Medical Bay

The blond haired doctor beckoned him over first and Egil complied with a nod and moved over. He sat down on the table and took off his shirt for easy access, in case she decided to treat the wound again. He figured the chance on that was pretty high judging by the look on her face. The hot shower had taken care of cleaning most of the wound, but he imagined the stitching still looked a bit crude and nasty.

“It looks kind of bad, but considering where we were I think they did a pretty decent job of keeping me in one piece.” He grinned a little. He wasn't exactly proud of what had transpired on the surface, but he couldn't really do anything about that now apart from letting this woman do her job. The pain was mostly gone, save for the rare jab along his slightly numb neck. He did have to refrain himself from touching it every now and then to deal with the occasional, perhaps imaginary, itch.

Medical Lab

Sune made his way over to one of the hemosynth tubes. "Hello Citrine-Hei, it is good to see you again. Nice to have you here taking care of the crew."

Citrine looked back at Sune, smiling at his voice, but then her expression changed when she saw his injured arm hanging unnaturally.

"It is good to see you again too Chusa. What is wrong with your arm?"

"I was shot by the bounty hunter, humerus is broken, and after being jostled around by an explosion and hitting the ground during our recovery, there is nerve damage. Nothing a brief stay in the hemosynth tube can not repair." He said, as he entered the commands to the tube.

The fluid lowered being drown down into the storage tanks. He placed a clean set of scrubs near the entrance that he could use when he was done. He polarized the surface and when it opened he stepped in depositing the towel next to the scrubs. As the door closed he attached the breathing unit. The warm fluid began to fill the tank and soon he was floating. He relaxed and let the hemosynthetic fluid do its work. He felt the liquid bandage being removed and a tingling as millions of nanomachines started entering the wound and repairing the bone and tissue.

Citrine turned her attention to Egil's injury. His body was working on repairing the damage, and it was healing nicely. A few scans showed that there was considerable internal damage but it was likewise healing. Someone did a good job of patching him up, even if it was done very old school.

After a few minutes of examining the injury, checking his blood work, she gave Egil a warm smile, "Your body is healing quite nicely given the extent of the injuries. No strenuous activities for at least twenty four hours. If you experience any bleeding, or difficulty eating or drinking please come back to medical."

She put her hand on his shoulder, "You will also need to return to medical to have those sutures removed, probably first thing tomorrow morning should be fine. It will only take a few minutes. You're good to go.

Who is next?" she called out.

Sienna stood off to the side of the medical bay, awaiting her turn to be examined as the bright blond-haired medic attended to Egil. She smirked a little at Sune's appraisal of her being "uninjured," after her ordeal of nearly being choked to death on noxious gas, though she did concede that her experience was comparably minor next to having her neck halfway sliced through, or having a Mishhuvurthyar slug trying to make a meal of her spine.

She unconsciously glanced over to Conrad, lying on his chest with all sorts of slick-looking gizmos attached to him. If that thing had in fact gotten a hold of his mind, he probably would have been on a murderous rampage by now, or at least awake and acting oddly. She nibbled on her lower lip for a second before she caught her nervous little tick and stopped. Her overreaction on the shuttle probably didn't buy her much love from Egil.

The thought of him made her look back at the medic tending to his hastily stitched together trachea. She wrinkled her nose a little as she watched Egil grimace under the medic's tugs and pokes. He'd probably be sore for weeks, even months.

Tightening the luxuriously soft towel around her chest, she fidgetted a little, growing increasingly uncomfortable with standing around in a crowded room wearing practically nothing. "Hey Doc," she called to the blond. "I feel like a queen with this kinda treatment, but it's gettin' cold in here. Any reason I can't get dressed while I wait, or you need me naked?"

[Edit - fixed bad reference]

Cargo Bay/Medical Lab

Victory called the medical lab via the intercom: "I am down here in the cargo bay moving these old chairs and I figured I would see if there was anything for the guests to wear. For Sienna I found undergarments and some skintight bodysuits and some silk nighties and silk pajamas. All I could find for Mr. X-Ray is some ID-SOL-size silk boxers. Maybe Conrad has a civilian outfit he could loan out? Is he awake yet? I also have backpacks for them to store their belongings in and bedrolls for them to sleep on. Let me know what you want me to bring up there."
