RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 2.2] Return and recover.

Leagar watched as Miali did her best to compensate for the descent and changing atmospheric density. She moved closer and put a hand on Miali's shoulder. "Don't fight the Yome or the Gravity. One is inexorable, and the other large and heavy." She said leaning down to whisper into Miali's ear.

She sent a series of adjustments to Miali's flight path and had the changes appear on the navigational display replacing the original. "The Yome was built to fly, so work with her to do so. Give her her head, and the hull will actually start helping with lift. Lower the nose about 4 degrees and hold her steady."

Qaedal activated the intercom, and opened a ship wide channel. "Ovuhu-te. Secure all loose items. All personnel, not at duty stations, should secure themselves immediately. Repeat all personnel secure yourselves immediate."

Wapoin Ruosa

As the Yome shuddered and bucked during the descent, Jaqsi came out of her office. "La'tâ we need to make sure everything and everyone is secure. If Memi can't sit in a chair, then use the straps to secure him to the bed. This entry seems to be a bit rougher than normal. But then given that we are coming in wounded. Not exactly unexpected.

Giante Ruo'sa

Several of the folks moved from the tables and over to the inner walls. One opened a panel and started tossing restraint harnesses to the others. They quickly donned them and attached them to points in the wall for just that purpose.

Nyora'a Ruo'sa

Potos was seated in her chair and tightened the restraints. "Yanga, system shows that unit is now working properly. Report to engineering." She replied to the technician. She then sent a general all. "All Engineering staff, report to the Nyora'a Ruo'sa immediately."

Everyone scrambled to place their trays into the storage containers for such an event and assisted those that were moving slower than the rest. Murr nodded her thanks as she wasn't used to moving in such turbulence as she scrambled with the help of the secured furniture to get to her spot along the wall and get secured in place. Then helping the others as needed.

She suffered in silence as a few of the bigger cats bumped into her to get to their places. She grabbed them to keep them steady as they move on. Oh poor Leagar, the way those were openly growling about the dastardly deeds that they was going to perform on her.

Murr hoped that others, Memi, Miali, Alpine and his brother, La'ta, and Purrpurr. Even the two baqli they rescued was alright and being taken care of. Murr hated to be confined, but suffered the confinement of the security straps.

"Sure.. I applied and got a reply last week.. Sister, you know I haven't been assigned to a ship yet..." Memi looked at her for a moment, before forcing his eyes shut and groaning. "My head hurts a lot.." He sighed and slowly opened one of his eyes, closest to La'tâ, who he thought was his older sister. "Why are we here on a ship?" His eye flicked about the room trying to steady on one thing, but his head was far too jumbled to focus.

The young Âdornorpa'a accepted the assistance from her teacher as her ears flattened a bit and she felt like a mere baqli. She knew what had happened deep down.. she was trying to overthink the problem instead of going with the flow, like she always did, clouded by her desire to impress the big shots. Miali just had to let.. it.. go. The ship was engineered well, by the best in the Silver Moon sect. It was made to fly, like the glorious hawk it was named after, and she had to stop holding it back in such an unsure landing pattern. Leager's words rang true, that her worries were insignificant against the universal forces of gravity she was in a dance with.

"Er, yeah.. adjusting now." Miali lost some of her fight at last and dutifully followed the path ahead for her, trusting Leager's time honed instincts. The Tuoro was if nothing else good at holding her path steady once her approach was corrected, considering this was her first live landing of anything larger than a Six-Seater Flitter.

In fact, it reminded her so much of the Tuima-daho'te training sessions she had with her adopted Tula mother Su'bek, who always was so calm and in control of her passions even in the midst of her art. She always knew the right step at the right time... would Miali be able to master her own tumultuous self one day, if she could find the answers to her own inner questions about her past? The elder Qaktoro's many hours spent 'listening to the deep' probably held some secret whispered in her furred ears, but for now they remained still out of reach for her student.

La'tâ turned her attention to Jaqsi as she spoke giving a nod in reply. Looking back at Memi it was becoming more clear what was going on with him. She didn't want to startle him when they were handling an important reentry so instead she decided to play along for now. "Yes, don't worry about that for now. We're going through reentry, so you have to strap in." She laid him back down on the medical bed and tried to strap him in, she wasn't too confident his body was at full strength so she didn't want to try getting him in a chair.

Syaboa slowly woke woke up and stretched, she was confused at first then remembered that she had came in because of her old scar and fell asleep, suddenly she noticed that different people were in here than before and she felt embarrassed that she has been in here so long. She quickly stood up and stumbled slightly as she got light headed.

She didn't want to stay as she thought she already overstayed her welcome so she carefully and silently made her way to the exit hoping that they wouldn't ask her to stay.

Once Miali brought the Yome onto the new flight position, the ship's flight smoothed out. There was only minor turbulence as the Fighting Ship passed varying air masses. Leagar nodded approvingly. "That was a good idea to use atmospheric breaking to help slow the Yome during reentry. Just need to learn when to switch your flight mode. Experience or the neural link will help with that."

Wapoin Ruosa

Jaqsi looked over at La'tâ and Memi. She was concerned by the discussion. "La'tâ, start a cerebral scan on Memi, stat." she called out.

Giante Ruo'sa

Once the ship was no longer bucking like a wild creature. A series of three chimes sounded, followed by Tasi's voice. "Flight profile nominal. Restraints are no longer required." The others in the room with Murr started releasing their harnesses and returned to the various tables.

Murr followed suite of the others. She helped stow the restraints they had used back into the stowage compartments to be ready for the next time the straps were needed. She was back in her seat with a drink. This time a lot closer to the walls. Conversation returned back to the latest happenings aboard the Yome Ismaopate. Murr's Dahome was one of the topics which included one of the ship's Intelligence Officers who was there during the quick run for the straps.

He had Murr draw the Armor she had faced as he plied her with question. Murr scowled as she wanted to forget about the incident as she had learned a valuable lesson. She relaxed and complied with the Intel Agent adding as much details she could remember. Adding more info, since she was in a more relaxed state of mind, could remember a little more, but not much, except it was a heavy P.A designed for Bunker busting and /or establishing a foothold either on a ship or a planet for Shock n Awe. It was designed for heavy punishment and to return it in kind.

The Intel Agent nodded as he paid attention to Murr Paw-Speak and written communication. He wished more were like Murr when it came to providing information. She paid attention while diving into the fray.

Murr covered a yawn as she was content, full stomach and feeling pretty much back to normal with nothing to do. Yet pretty excited looking forward to shore leave. She had a lot of news to relay to her folks but was disappointed as she was informed what she had told the Intel Agent that it was now classified. She watched him gather up what she had provided and left the now empty Giante Ruo'sa.

La'tâ noticed Syaboa wake up and begin to wander about she gave her a light nod, just letting her know it was okay to leave. Jaqsi's words were expected, but the young Tula still was hoping Jaqsi would've said something that did align with the suspicions even the tender was getting.

"Memi, just relax, it seems like reentry went well and you'll be home soon." She tapped a few buttons on the terminal and began the cerebral scan, watching for any brain damage, particularly to memory.

Wapoin Ruosa

Jaqsi walked over to La'tâ. "Do not release him until I tell you. And that will not be until after I review that brain scan." She then disappeared back into her office. She pulled up a restricted file and started familiarizing herself with it. "Siamaka, please let the scan be normal."

Giante Ruo'sa

It was Murr turn to finally leave. She stayed a bit to help those that came in to remove the tubs of used dishes and load them on the carts. She took her leave and moved through the ship to her den to get some rest before going back on duty.

Miali gave a sigh of relief as a nice even keel returned to the progress of the vessel and the surface was starting to come into view through the layers of the lower atmosphere. It seems she even got a bit of praise from her mentor now, and it helped the jitters from the previous missteps melt away. "Qantsu, bohau'a... I guess, with smaller craft they are a bit more forgiving in that way. I think I am getting the groove of the Yome Nuiqai-type now though... but still need a lot more flight hours to make sure I can do it with my eyes closed." She managed a more relieved smile now, as even a shoddy introduction performance could be turned into an impressive finale with luck and friends to help out. Of course Murr and the rest of the crew probably would have a few choice words for her when they got docked about the rough patch...

Still, Miali was at least saved from a big embarrassment that the rest of the descent was proving smooth going. She tried not to get too distracted with thoughts of victory just yet, picking out the image on the sensors of the Sky Harbor through the remaining clouds and haze ahead and maneuvering the wounded ship into its Heim Force powered tractor range. Once there, she could kick back and let the ship be guided into the assigned Vamâqi.

"What?! Let me go... I have to get home." Turning His head Memi looked at who he thought was his sister, "And so do you. We're going to be in a lot of trouble... They'll make us clean the home's floor with hand brushes..." He frowned and fought against the straps that had held him in place.

The Sky Harbor had been tracking the Yome's descent. Once in range of the Heim Generators they contacted the fighting ship. "Yome Ismâopate this is
Posyte Mâhoa Âdor. We are tracking you inbound on approach vector 137. You are in range of our approach control. Transfer control to our system in 1 tui'sa. We will bring you into the Vamâqi Bajao that is ready to receive you. Please acknowledge when ready to transfer." came from the speakers.

Bridge

Leagar looked at Miali. "Well, looks like you can relax once you transfer control." she smiled. "Anything happens after that is the Sky Harbor's concern. Its no different than turning control over when arriving at World Station."

She turned on the Intercom. "Attention all hands, we are making final approach to the Sky Harbor. We will be touching down shortly." she said across the ship's speakers.

La'tâ offered Memi a smile and spoke softly, trying to keep him calm. "You hit your head Memi, if you don't get the scan done they might miss any complications. I don't want something bad to happen so can you just do this for me?" If he saw her as his sister she was going to use that as best she could to make he got the care he needed.

Murr strutted back to her den (quarters) she shared with Yanga, unknowingly at this time, but a new crew member. She was living a dream and it showed in her body language as she moved through the ship.

Hearing the announcement from the Bridge, she smiled. Her purr motor kicked in as she thought of beauty saloons, restocking her personal hygiene kit with new shampoos. Definitely replace that old worn out grooming brush and uniform adjustments. Most important of all, coinage jingling in her pocket that was righteously earned.

She smiled very widely, showing teeth. Giving a little jig when she was alone in the vacant corridor. She felt good and at the top of her game, making good choices even though some of them gotten her injured or in trouble. To be an asset to the ship and crew.

Her family was going to be proud of her when she made that call home. Life was good at the moment at least for her as she entered her den. She stretched slowly, mind full of her recently healed abdomen. She stripped down and neatly put away the clothing in their proper place before putting on her nightie and crawling into her bunk.

"Fine... but I'm going to tell our folks it was your fault we were late." He sighed and stopped struggling. Memi, even though he was cooperation, was growing quite frustrated. part of him really didn't understand what was going on. Nor why his sister was here. The other big one was the growing panic that he was on a ship, "Why would I be here?" Kept running through his head over an over again.

Nyora'a Ruo'sa

It wasn't too much longer before both Yanga and Alpin showed up where they'd been requested to be, settling in where they could find space and waiting quietly.

The scan finally completed. The system displayed the following.
Cerebral Scan Complete

No damage to neural structure detected.
No anomalies detected.
No gaps in cognitive activity
Neural activity elevated due to emotional state.

Neural activity indicated confusion.
No sign of parasitic activity.

Potos looked to Yanga, "Secure the plasma drives. We will not be needing them. So shut them down and vent them." she called over to Yanga.

La'tâ looked over the results of the scan, and while she was happy they came up fairly normal she was now somewhat confused. She first sent the results to Jaqsi's office terminal and then looked back at Memi. "There is no brain damage so you're good. But it's probably best if you try to relax, maybe get some sleep. It's showing that you're very stressed." She was lying, but if she could get him to fall asleep she thought his brain might get him out of his passed memories.
