Re: Mission 3: The sound of machina
The youthful blond haired samurai nodded once. "You’re more than right. My sensei, Midori-sama, would be ashamed of me if I had forgotten my duties after coming this far." Sumaru then moved to get up off the bed and slowly he moved over to Sora's small shrine, "but first I think I should pay my respects to Sharie-dono..." He said firmly as he situated himself before the first naturally-born Ketsurui. He unlaced his still sheathed katana from his side and laid it out in front of the mitamaya on a quickly placed sheet of red silk, and bowed lowly to the floor as a sigh of utmost respect to the Ketsurui who mothered the woman who he had decided to protect and dedicate his existence to.
I know your spirit has many things left to watch over. But, Sharie-dono, may your rest be eased as now I am here by your daughter. I have sworn many times, to many of her ancestors, but I swear it to you with the most conviction my soul can carry. Ketsurui Sharie, for whatever future Sora chooses, I will be her sword and see to it that her flame of life is never extinguished. I swear this to you, on my blade and thus my honor. I pray that you may bless my path, as I walk it ever vigil beside Sora as whatever she needs me to be.
In closing Sumaru rose his head from his humble bow and bowed his head once more in honor of the spirit. Then, once he was finished, he stood up and wrapped his sword in the fine silk and made his way over to his bag in the corner of the room. He had a uniform to change into, one that he never thought he’d have to wear for the rest of his days.
