RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 4] The Chase

Blackberry had Eucharis execute a hyperspace fold.

"We've arrived at the Nepleslian border," she then advised the captain, pulling up an enormous holographic display of the heavily-defended border's features.
 
Misaki had Charisma provide Hotaru with a mission report, detailing things in short up to that point. "I've not decided on if we'll require you aboard this vessel or not yet, and I won't have the time to until the mission is over. Here's a chance to prove it: I want you in an armour and ready to escort our shuttle out to retrieve soul pods. I may or may not place you in the stealth shuttle if we have to send a pickup team. We will be under Nepleslian guns from this point on. Do you have any questions?"

While waiting for her answer, Misaki looked at the projection. "Inform our escort we're prepared to make for the battle site, Blackberry. Power down any systems we can spare that they might try to scan for. No need in letting them know just what modifications we have."
 
Thinking for a moment, Hotaru replied "I understand and won't let you down. I can't think of any questions at the moment. Permission to go and suit up Shosa?".
 
Nodding at Kage as she stepped up to the ship and entered and moved towards where her Power Armour was stored to get ready for any eventual combat or other situations where it'd be required.
 
I will wait until you are hidden, Kurosora-Hei. If they detect a Neko on scans or sight one, this will be far harder.

Yaichiro sent, preparing to launch the heavily customized machine. He also had some of his money converted into DA, and went online, to purchase a Nepleslian salvage license. It wasn't a difficult thing to do, nor was it for the Yamataian equivalent. He would need it, and he obtained it under the alias of Mr. Jason Shade. He also had some Yamataian documents made using Pisces' nodal system...the funny things was that Pisces seemed well geared for making convincing falsified documents. Small wonder.
 
Roger that, Kage-Shosa. Let's pray we won't have to start a war. Kim replied as she slipped inside one of the secret compartments that would block scans and sensors. All the while, Kim was silently hoping that they'd get Hanako-Taisa back easily and without any major complications, such as firefights or any sort of combat situation in mid-space. While Kim was Infantry and she loved combat, she did not desire it for missions like these where other lives were at risk, and where any possible casualties on either side could end with open war.
 
Two oddly named Nepleslian ships, the NSS Bridge of Sighs and NSS Awe of She, met Eucharis at the border. After a brief exchange, the three ships headed deeper into Nepleslia. Eucharis was now in hostile territory, one of only a handful of Star Army ships allowed into the Nepleslian Empire since the greens locked down their space.
 
"Good. Dismissed. We'll be at the battle site in no time. You'll escort the normal shuttle." Misaki nodded at Hotaru, and began to feed orders into the ship. Pineapple standby in the stealth shuttle. See that the next most qualified pilot is sent to the normal shuttle with the retrieval team, put her in an EVA suit.

Her voice again rang out through the ship, "All hands we are currently located in Nepleslia space, exercise the utmost discretion unless ordered otherwise. Personnel going out get to the launch bay and make ready."
 
Nana decided to take up some maintenance work in the time being, as she'd not be leaving the ship and would not be truly needed until later on. Not that it mattered, of course, it would just make her upcoming decision that much easier. For the time being, she'd park herself in Engineering, making sure all of the Eucharis' systems were in working order, though she was really gritting her teeth at the entire situation and had the unending urge to break something.
 
"Hotaru bowed and replied "Understood Shosa. Will suit up immediately," before bowing again and leaving the bridge.

Making her way to the PA bay, she began thinking about the upcoming mission, deciding that it never hurt to be prepared. Arriving at the bay, Hotaru looked at what PAs were assigned and chose an unassigned Mindy with the standard loadout.
 
Yaichiro reclined in the seat and detached from the station, having waited long enough.

"Alright. We're on our way to Nepleslia...to not be suspicious, I'll salvage a little bit. If we're lucky, we'll find something of military value, which can get us entry into a military facility on planet."


Yai stopped at the border...

This is Captain Shade of the SS Thunderbolt. I'd like to salvage in your space. I have a permit to do so.

He sent, hoping to gain entry. He intentionally sent a basic message without headers, so his military background would not show in his correspondence.
 
Without event, the Eucharis and its pair of Nepleslian escorts made it to the designated salvage and recovery area. After Pineapple activated the T2 shuttle's thermoptic camouflage, she remotely drained the air out of the shuttle bay and then opened the bay door.
 
"All right, when our new applicant is ready, let's get the other shuttle out. Begin scanning for pods and mapping them out on the display, relay that to our recovery shuttle and armour. Charisma, please passively monitor any communications that might originate from Kage-Shosa." Misaki eyed their escorts on the display, how close things were not lost on her.
 
After checking that her Armor was fully operational, Hotaru contacted the bridge, "Bridge, Yamamoto-Hei reporting. Awaiting order to launch, over.".
 
(OOC: Since Wes and Lilly haven't replied for the Neps...)


After a time, the Nepleslians allowed the SS Thunderbolt into Nepleslian space, and it began to salvage...it did so so as not to look suspicious. They would descend to the planet to sell their finds...and hopefully give it to the Nepleslian authorities.

"Alright...hang back and wait..."


He began to salvage, using graviton projectors...

The Eucharis came to a relative stop in the debris field, both Nepleslian escorts remaining nearby but free of the clutter themselves while watching over the Yamataian warship closely. Keeping her link via SPINE to the ship, Misaki sent the launch signal to the recovery shuttle, and Yamamoto as assistance to launch. Mission data was still being fed to the newest crew applicant about what she might have to do if made to go with the stealth shuttle to the surface.

The shuttle stopped at the first pod and the pilot opened the hatch, waiting for Hotaru to get it and stow it inside.

Back on the bridge, Misaki rubbed at her eyes. Feeling the burn from lack of sleep beginning to take hold annoyed her, it was almost worse than the full blown sensation in her opinion and to compound things the woman was a little worried about her decision to send Kurosora-hei on what was really a specialised mission.
 
After receiving the launch order, Hotaru escorted the shuttle towards the first pod keeping a wary lookout for any threats. Arriving at the pod, she manouvered into a better position before getting hold and depositing it inside the shuttle. One down, many more to go thought Hotaru before indicating to the shuttle to continue.
 
A few items of interest that other salvage ships had overlooked began to blip up on the Thunderbolt's sweeps of their area, though at first the pickings seemed rather slim.

Meanwhile, the shuttle was making good progress to the next pod, and the Eucharis followed after quickly. A private directed message bounced Hotaru's power armour text-only.


On the bridge, Misaki sighed and sent one of the twins to suit up. It was just basic power armour operation so any soldier would do. A thought occurred to send Nana, but in case of an emergency she wanted her around to repair and monitor their new systems. Instead, she appeared in front of the woman. "Nana, go take a nap somewhere. Keep in uniform we could need you at any moment."
 
Acknowledging the communication, Hotaru made her way back to the Eucharis after retrieving a fourth pod. Shortly after she boarded the stealth shuttle she sent a message to Misaki, Kurusa-shosa, I have reviewed the mission data and am ready if required.
 
Pineapple shut the hatch between the cockpit area and the passenger area of her stealth shuttle, drained the air from the back, and then opened the rear door so that the retrieval team could board. She signaled the bridge she was ready.
