RP: YSS Aeon [Mission 5.1] Into the depths

The door split upon its seams and opened. Sunflower stood inside in her armor, her NSP in her hand just as a matter of precaution.

"Welcome aboard the Diligent. Please find a seat towards the front, and I will commence with medical checks." she said holstering her handgun and picking up her medical scanner.

The prisoners filed into the shuttle quickly and without incident. When the last of them were seated she looked at Freyja, "Will there be other prisoners coming?" she inquired.

Kim watched Saki and Trowa both head up the damaged elevator shaft. She wondered how they proposed to get around the lift if it was in their way. She activated the hopper system and watched as it carried its destructive cargo upward.

There were no weapons or traps in the shaft. But halfway between the base and the level that the rest of the team was on, the elevator car was sitting. It was sitting askew and at least one cable appeared to be damage.
 
Shuttle

"Yes Ma'am, I do believe that there are more up in the installation. I brought these folks up here so that they could be in a safe place till we are able to head back to the ship." She spoke to Sunflower as she helped the refugees into the shuttle and had those who could sit down in the seats, the rest she helped lay down where they could. "I believe I heard that there was at least another thirty, but I may have miss heard that."

Freyja knew she had to head back to assist her new shipmates, but she didn't want to leave Sunflower here with all of this folks with out help, "Ma'am, uhhh.... I was told to return as soon as I could, uhhh.... Do you need any assistance here? I don't want to leave you in a lurch."
 
Shuttle

Sunflower took a look around her. "Well the T7 can carry up to fifty-two people. So we will be able to take the other prisoners. Depending on how it goes down, the away team may have to ride on the exterior or fly alongside.

I'm in power armor and these people pose no real threat to anyone right now. Go back and rejoin the others if things get nasty they will need extra fire power. I can take care of these people and be ready to receive the next bunch." she replied. She took out her medical kit and set about to tending the wounded.
 
Trowa grabbed onto an access ladder used for maintenance and hung there studying the problem. They could try to dislodge the car. But those cables didn’t look too good and they may just bring the whole thing crashing down on themselves. They could simply blow the car up and out of the way, but then how would they extract the prisoners? Carry them down the shaft one at a time? No way. That would take way too long.

“Arai-Hei,” Said the Nepleslian pilot. “See if you can cut a hole big enough to get through in the bottom of the car. I don’t know how secure it is and I’m not in a hurry to test it while I’m right under it but we need to keep going.”
 
"I hope no one is in the elevator," Saki said and let her LASR hang freely, powering up her right forearm energy blade. She thrusted deep into Elevators floor and started cutting a meter wide circle. Her left hand was ready to fire though the floor with forearm SMG if needed.
 
As the section of floor was cut free it tumbled into the darkness along with several bodies of NMX infantry. The interior of the elevator was illuminated by the internal light that flickered. The interior wall opposite the opening was riddled with holes from a weapon.
 
Saki let caught the edge of the hole and slowly levited inside, ready to slash at anything inside the elevator. She was a little shocked as few bodies fell out of the hole she made. Apparently there was firefight and Saki wondered who terminated those soldiers.
 
Shuttle - to Cavern

With a quick "Yes Ma'am," she made sure that Sunflower knew she would use the same knock code as before Freyja headed back out of the shuttle. She knew that traveling by herself was dangerous so she make for the others as quickly as she dared without running. This power suit was not something she was used to, not at all like her beloved star-fighter. Her mind kept drifting back to how much she wanted to be safe inside of it's cockpit, watching the world fly by from under the clear canopy.

She kept her pace till she arrived in the cavern that she met the others from the Aeon, looking around she saw movement around the elevators. Moving toward them she announced her presents on the radio circuit.

Yamamoto-heisho, Tanaka-hei and I are currently aboveground. Those rippers got buried under some rubble, so our path is a little blocked. There's a hole in the roof now, so I'm going to see if that's a viable path. I'll keep you posted if I find a blueprint or something to help your prisoners.
Tsubei-Heisho.
 
“What the Feth!” Trowa exclaimed as the bodies fell down past him. He quickly followed Saki into the elevator car and looked around. “Looks like someone’s had a party without us.” He looked up at the ceiling. Most elevators had a maintenance hatch up top so repairs could be done. It would save time if he didn’t have to tell Saki to cut another hole.

He received a message from Tsubei-Heisho and read it. “Aye, they’re having a party without us.”
 
Kim looked up the shaft as she waited for Freyja to return. "How does it look up there." She inquired just before the NMX bodies flew past her to the bottom of the shaft.

Fortunately for Saki and Trowa the control panel to the lift was undamaged. The Emergency button was illuminated keeping the car from responding to calls.
 
By The Elevator

"Nothing new up there as far as I know, I only went to the top of the shaft to the shuttle and dropped the refugees off and then headed straight back here," Look around studying what all was going on. "Uhh... Ma'am, what can I be doing to help out here."
 
Saki quickly moved in the car and waited for Trowa to join her. She was not sure where the car was exactly, but she still decided to force-open the doors. She slipped her fingers between the doors and pushed her suits and her own muscles in attempt to open it.
 
Kim looked at Freyja. "We are currently moving to assist the other members of the away team, and see if we can rescue anymore of the prisoners. We're ascending through the elevator shaft to the cart above.

The doors resisted being opened, but power armor assisted strength was more than enough to open them. Looking out through the opening, Saki could see some of the members in the tunnel opposite the elevator.

Looking to her left she could see the NMX barricade that sealed off the area where the other prisoners would be confined.
 
"Yes Ma'am," Freyja turned and proceeded to climb up through the elevator shaft.
