Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate
Miharu Nao was like a person with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. For what had felt like only a few minutes to her, she slaved over the Combined Field System even though it was fine. She carefully yanked out smaller burnt out wires and replaced them with new ones. The floor was painstakingly scrubbed with a puny brush with the utmost caution to remove the carbon scoring. The sprite even kept this up until the CFS went from a 99.7% functionality to a 99.87 percentile! As she looked at the screen, satisfied at her progress, Nao glanced at the time. What little pride she had vanished.
"You've got to be kidding me! An entire battle could have happened with all that's gone by!" she yelled to no one in particular. "Damn. I hope Junko's having a better time..." She sent a message to Tom and awaited his answer with anticipation.
The sprite started to pace back and forward at a single little spot. 'What have I missed? What have I missed? What has happened? How could I let this happen? Arrrgh!' The sprite's mind continued on in the silly despair.
