Sune smiled, "As you wish." He positioned the interface over her face, and went to the console. "Just relax this will only take a few minutes." He said, as he activated the system. He monitored Nika's vitals as the process proceeded.

Once the scan was complete he stored the back up and moved the interface out of the way. "So was that so bad?" he inquired, as he helped her sit up. "While you are here, we should go ahead and get your physical taken care of."

Wincing, Hamada inclined her head from where she was standing, returning Hotaru's courtesy. Mentally, she thought, the next person to call me by my first name is getting double duty, but she neither said it, nor considered actually putting an annoucement like that out.

Yet.

"At ease," she replied, "Stand with Takeda-Hei, please."

Hamada then turned to the Taisa. "Do you mind if I take these two out in the passageway? I would like to brief them on their new positions within the ship, and I do not wish to disrupt your bridge activities."

"That is fine," Hanako said, gesturing to the port-side doorway.

The door on the bridge's port side was seldom used by anyone other than Hanako. It led only to escape pods, a floor access panel leading to the main cannon junction room, and of course to the hatch outside the Taisa's personal cabin. This relative seclusion made it a perfect place for private meetings with the First Officer.

"Who is preparing the probe, Ramiro?" Hanako asked, ready to give that person a call.

Konoka smiled and called after Hotaru, " Great! Go see how you can help the XO, huh?" She looked over at Jalen-Hei, muttering, "Another patient stolen right out from under me....heh-mm. Efficient, isn't he?" She sighed dramatically, but very softly. She looked around. "Wah? No more patients, hmmm? Where's the fun in that? Well...At least I know more have to come later to get backups..What a lovely day to be helping others...." So she started humming to fillin the time. She hoped more patients would come, she got a lot of joy out of helping them...

Seeing her superior wince, Hotaru realised she had inadvertently used her first name. Next time, thought Hotaru, she would peruse the crew list more carefully.

Acknowledging the order, Hotaru made her way over to where Junko was waiting, nodding to her in acknowledgement.

While awaiting the XO, Hotaru took a look at the screens she could see, interested in what Ramiro was doing at his station.

As the console started up, the visor above Nika slided over her eyes and a screen popped in front of her...

Searching Data Library...

Previous Data not found... Calibrating System for Data Transfer...

The neko felt a slight prick between the sides of her head, "This must be the discomfort Sune was referring to?" She wondered.

Calibration Done. Please Relax while New Data Library is Created...

Nika relaxed as the progress meter appeared before her, but did not expect what was about to happen.

"WHOA!" She cried out as the prickly sensation intensified as though someone was drilling into her brain and sucking out whatever that was inside. Nika kept reminding herself to relax, letting the unit did its work...

"So was that so bad?" he inquired, as he helped her sit up. "While you are here, we should go ahead and get your physical taken care of."

"It just caught me off guard." Nika replied as she got up and shook her head, "That was rather intense if you ask me." Her hands went to where the 'drilling' was felt, "So how does this physical checkup go about? More poking and drilling?"

The neko's large ears caught Konoka's comments, "Velencia-Hei will be coming over once I relieve him. Maybe someone wants to grab him before the other..."

Sune's concern for his patient clearly showed on his face. "The memory transfer experience differs for each person. I am sorry that it was so uncomfortable for you. But the next time you will know what to expect that will help. As for the physical, most of it is just checking your vitals, reflexes, and one small injection with the hypospray. It will only take a few minutes and then you can resume your duties."

"Its alright Jelen-Hei. I'll get use to it after frequent backups." Nika assured him, "Better get this done and over, Valencia-Hei had been on station for a while." She let Sune guide her over.

Ramiro paused a moment wondering if he had yet again made a stupid mistake in front of the Taisa. He swiveled around in his chair and the said, kind of nervously, "I have instructed for the computer to upload the modules you requested if that's what you mean. To be perfectly honest I was never really quite good with sensors and the such while I was in training so I'm just trying to wing it here."

"Ramiro, the computer cannot just launch the probe like a missile. Someone has to get the probe from the cargo bay, install the sensor modules, and move it to the armor bay where it can move out into the atmosphere below us," Hanako explained.

Kumiko, sadly, had managed to get herself so distracted trying to find more complete and detailed specs of the QNC, that she had completely missed Hanako. It wasn't until she bumped into a wall that she became aware of where she was. As well as the fact that she'd managed to walk herself down to the med bay, missing Hanako in the process. This won't look great for me. Then Hamada's request came over the intercom. Great. Now I probably missed the Taisa, and I don't have time to find her and speak with her about the problem. It wasn't until she arrived at the bridge that she relaxed slightly, as Hanako was already there. At least she could speak to her after Hamada was done with them. "You requested my presence, Shizu-Taii?"

Turning from the Taisa and Valencia, Hamada motioned to the three by the door to follow her into the passageway branching off from the bridge.

Once they had all mustered and the door had slid shut, Hamada looked down at her personal datapad again, bringing up the roster sheet.

"I called you three up here because I have a couple things for you. First, Heisho - You are the only infantry rating on this ship, so I have decided to put you in charge of the ship's security. This puts you at the head of a duty crew, some of the other crewmembers who aren't specifically assigned to anything while we are underway, and you will also be in charge of maintaining the power armors and small arms aboardship. I'll forward you the list of crew, soon as I can, and the inventory sheets should be on file in the ship's computer. If you have any questions, I'll answer them, but first:"

She looked up to the two Technicians.

"Which of you two want charge of the engineering mainspace?"

"My apologies ma'am, I won't make the mistake again." After Ramiro finished apologizing to the Taisa he returned to the Starship Operations terminal. When he sat down he quick pulled up a duty roster and checked which crew members would work in the cargo bay. "Taisa, if it is alright with you I would like to put Pineapple-heisho on preparing the probe as she is usually stationed in the Cargo Bay."

howlam said:
"Its alright Jelen-Hei. I'll get use to it after frequent backups." Nika assured him, "Better get this done and over, Valencia-Hei had been on station for a while." She let Sune guide her over.
Sune escorted Irenika to an available med bed. "Have a seat and we will have you back to the bridge in no time." He then walked over to the PMS-1 charging station and took out one of the scanners. He also pulled over a tray with standard examination equipment. When he returned. "If you would open your uniform top, I will get started with your examination."

"That is fine," Hanako told Ramiro.

With the ship already over the planet, it didn't take long for the ship to start gather data both from its own sensors, and from the probe, once Pineapple sent it off from the armor bay and into the toxic atmosphere below.

Nika nodded and began to peel off her uniform top, just stopping where she felt her modesty might be infringed upon. If the med bay was occupied by just females, she didn't mind getting her entire top off.

"I don't have to go all the way... do I?"

Sune chuckled,A modest Nekovalkyrja, how refreshing. he thought. "No Himeya-Hei that will not be necessary for this examination. Otherwise we would be using the room in the corner. That is enough for me to be able to listen with a stethoscope, and to apply a small patch so that the PMS-1 will work. High tech sensors are nice, but sometimes old fashioned methods are best." That said, he placed put the stethoscope on, he warmed the end of it with his hand before applying it to her skin. Sune then listened to her lungs, and heart. He then applied the PMS-1 booster patch onto her bare shoulder. He picked up the hypospray, "You may experience some tingling at the injection site, but there will not be any pain." He advised Nika. After making the injection, he resumed the examination. He tapped her knees, and elbows with a small rubber hammer, "Reflexes excellent." he said noting her response. Then with a small flashlight he checked her pupil dialation. He picked up the scanner and looked at the information. "Well Himeya-Hei, as expected you are in top physical condition." he said as he removed the patch. "Unless there is anything else you require, you may return to your duties."

Nika listened closely as Sune chatted while giving her the physical examination. At least the injection was not as bad as the backup...

"Well Himeya-Hei, as expected you are in top physical condition." he said as he removed the patch. "Unless there is anything else you require, you may return to your duties."

"Thank you for the back up and the physical examination Jelen-Hei." The neko thanked Sune as she wore back her uniform, "And yes, I should get back to the bridge." With that, she gave the medics a wave before heading back to the bridge...

The bridge was quiet, except for Hanako and Ramiro. Looking at the large screen indicated that a probe had been launched from the ship and was decending into the planet.

"Taisa." Nika saluted Hanako, "I've finished my memory backup and examination." She looked over to Ramiro, "Should we wait for the results to come in from the probe before I take over Valencia-Hei?"

Following the XO into the small passageway, Hotaru relaxed her stance and waited. After the XO listed the new duties that Hotaru was assigned to, she asked Junko and Kumiko a question which allowed Hotaru to formulate any questions that she wished to ask before taking up her new duties at the end of this mini-briefing.

Junko was a bit surprised that they were receiving a vote, not orders. Glancing sideways at Endoh for a moment, she considered the situation. While she had yet to hear any specific duties associated with the position, being in charge of engineering would probably mean watching the reactors during combat, while the other technician would most likely be in charge of damage control elsewhere. Wouldn’t it be more fun to… She cut herself off with a single tiny shake of her head. Enjoyment didn’t really matter; and that aside, she had to admit she had no real basis to judge which of them were better suited to what position. “I have no personal preference, ma’am,” replied Junko to the XO, before looking more directly at Endoh for a moment. “Really, Endoh-hei is the more senior aboard the Eucharis, so I would, of course, defer to any stated preference on her part.”
