Mikael was still half asleep as he wondered around the hotel he was at looking for the gym for his daily physical training. He had got a full nights rest after the festivities of yesterday, but he was still feeling the effects of the vodka he had drank.

He continued stumbling around in his PT uniform scratching the occasional itch.

"Busy," echoed Shizu, "Tired, but not particularly frustrated. I appreciate the tea. You can sit if you like - I'm almost done, here."

The tired, busy, but not particularly frustrated Taii offered a sort of abbreviated smile before looking down at her datapad, again. She resumed typing, one-handed, but kept the small smile and continued on speaking.

"I saw you were promoted this morning. Plan on doing anything with the extra pay?"

"Thank you Hamada-Taii... I apologise for intruding..." With that, Nika settled down just opposite the officer, and began having her breakfast all the while listening to what the latter had asked.

"Not really sure on what to spend on... I'm thinking of returning back to the Ketsurui household to retreive some items I've left behind, however..." She paused, fiddling with her ham, "I doubt that would be possible considering the tight security the nation is having..." Nika sighed as her eyes wandered to Shizu, who was still typing on the datapad.

"Extra pay? I wonder what that means..."

"I hope you don't mind me asking... how's your report coming on? I suppose you didn't sleep well after this morning's incident..." Nika decided to stop here as she might had intruded Shizu's privacy.

Sune ate the piece of toast that he had been preparing while Ramiro answered him. I wonder when the Taisa is going to want to meet. She did not specify a time so I should probably remain at the hotel until I meet with her. he thought.

He looked at Ramiro and said, "If I may make a suggestion, if you do not wish to visit with your family, you should probably at least contact them. They are no doubt concerned for your well being."

Hanako walked into the breakfast area wearing a crisp new white-paneled uniform. "Good morning," she greeted her crew members present.

"Think safety when you go out...people travel in pairs or groups and maintain situational awareness. Although the planet is on heightened security, there is still a danger of enemy agents and zombies."

With that said, she went to get some breakfast, starting with fruit salad and a waffle.

Ramiro continued eating as Sune answered him. When Hanako entered Ramiro answered back with a quick, "Good morning Taisa." He then turned his attention back to Sune. "To be perfectly honest my parents probably aren't concerned. My father was Nepleslian military and had always hoped I'd move back to Neplesia and join the Nepleslian Army. I've only seen him once since I ran away from home, and that was directly before I joined up with the SAoY. It didn't go well last time and it ended with him disowning me and screaming that I'm a disgrace to the family. I figured I'd give him a few years to cool down before I went back for another visit, let him see what I've become."

His father is being rather illogical, he lives on Yamatai, but resents that his son chose to serve the empire. Perhaps families are more trouble than they are worth. Sune thought. "My apologies then, I obviously misinterpreted your comment about your family not living too far from here. Although I must confess that interpersonal relationships within a family is not something I have experience with. There are plenty of sites to see in Kyoto, so I am certain you will have no difficulty figuring out a way to pass the time."

Sune resumed eating and looked over at the Taisa. Does not seem appropriate to interrupt her breakfast with work. he thought. He picked up his communicator and quickly composed a note which he queued up for a fifteen minute delay..
To: Ketsurui Hanako-Taisa
Subject: Meeting

Taisa,
Please advice at your earliest convenience as to where and when you wish to meet regarding changing my occupation.

Respectfully,
Jalen Sune-IttΓ΄ Heisho

"Perhaps you and Kumiko-Hei might go sight seeing together. You did give her your comm number on Hanako's world. You did say that implied that you wanted to do something with her later." Sune said to Ramiro trying to change the subject to one that Ramiro might find more appealing.

After getting spending some time working out, Mikael finally decided it was enough and went back to his room to change. Showering and putting on his midnight blue paneled uniform, he stood in the mirror for a few moments prepping himself for the day.

Satisfied that there was nothing out of order, he left his room once more and headed towards the breakfast area of the hotel where he saw some of the individuals from yesterday. Not saying anything, he went straight for the counter and got himself some scrambled eggs and orange juice. He sat himself at a table in the corner.

"Not at all, actually," Hamada replied, honestly, "And this report looks like a mess. You know better than I do - I'm afraid I only have the Eucharis action reports to look at, and those are from Charisma."

She paused in her work when Hanako entered the room. After the captain had stopped speaking, the Taii sighed vaguely and closed out of whatever program she had been using to write with and pushed it off to the side, trading it for her tea can. She also took a moment to align the cup that Nika had brought her properly, setting it to her right, within easy reach, for when she finished with her current.

"Actually," she said, trailing off. Suddenly, as if remembering something, she leaned forward slightly to peer around a potted plant at the rest of the dining area. The conversation paused as she examined the few crewmembers that had assembled this morning. Then, after a few moments of looking, she sat back in her chair again, after which she seemed to relax and remember she still had a thought to finish.

"Apologies. Actually, since you were on the bridge, I would like to hear your account of things, if you have the time. Before you start, though - have you seen Takeda-Heisho this morning?"

It was at that moment that Junko arrived, her face still showing a little shock. Upon waking up, finding the package at her door, and discovering the new rank insignia within, the importance of what Himeya had been trying to tell her the night before finally registered. She had been pleasantly surprised that no negative comments had been made about Engineering during the debriefing, but the vote of confidence the promotion represented completely took her aback. Blinking rapidly, Junko realized she had been standing still in the middle of the room for a moment. With a quick shake of her head she went to procure herself some food. She also spotted Himeya, and strode over. "Good morning, Himeya-hei. Hamada-taii." She paused, looking down at her plate. "I'm sorry about my behavior last night, Himeya-hei. I appreciate you trying to inform me about the promotions," she said, already turning to walk away to another table.

"Speaking of the devil..." Sent a thought to Shizu as a flustered Junko entered and greeted them while apologising to Nika about this early morning's incident.

"Morning Takeda-Heisho~" Nika grinned at Junko, "I'm not a all bothered about that. However..." She gently grab hold of the latter's arm, "Hamada Taii would like your presence at this table as well." The neko knew she was a little rude to hold back someone of a higher rank, but she was just taking easy.

Ramiro listened carefully and replied, "This is very true," when Sune mentioned site seeing in Kyoto. He kept listened and shifted in his seat a bit when he heard the mention of Kumiko. "Actually, it's been quite stressful with her. Back at Hanako's World we had actually begun discussions of dating, but I haven't seen her since she was transferred to the night shift. So you can probably can understand how agreeing to go out with someone and then not seeing that person for months can be annoying."

Konoka had slept perfectly, and woken up refreshed, smiling at the sunshine, and quite hyper. Receiving her new uniform (and noting she liked it far better than the old one....more feminine, as a proper lady should be) , she donned it, 'yay'-ing and skipping in her room happily at her promotion and medals. When she was done with her little happy jig, she skipped down to breakfast, grabbing some toast and jelly, wondering if she was late.

Spotting Sune, she skipped over....and then noticed his new heisho rank pin. "Hi, hello, good morning, Jalen....Heisho??!! That's new! I'm so incredibly happy for you...oh, you too, Valencia-HEISHO...heh-hee. Wow, remember when you two were the newest friends on the Eucharis? Look how great you've come along! I remember welcoming you....Speaking of, don't I..or we... have new friends to welcome? Yay! Where might they be? Maybe you could help welcome them? I remember being so happy when I welcomed you....If only I'd met you first! So much has happened since then...Again, congrats, Heishos! Yay for you two! Oo...."

She'd spotted her new person to welcome.

"There's the new friend I wanted to make! Anyone wanna help roll out the welcome wagon?"

Motioning that they could follow if they wanted, Konoka turned to make the skip towards Mikael. She whispered, "I'll welcome him first this time!"

Finishing her small breakfast, Hanako went over to visit her second XO. Leaning over to whisper in Shizu's ear, she told Shizu: "I apologize for last night. I think Misaki is infatuated with me, and that makes her jealous. We're not seriously involved though."

With that said, the Taisa went to go speak with Sune.

"Tell me where you want the Star Army to take you," she prompted him.

Shizu's ear twitched.

She drummed her fingers on the table. Just once - any more and she would have drawn attention to the fact. Her teeth set themselves quietly for a few seconds before she forced herself to ease and took another drink of her tea. It couldn't have been said in private?

"Yes," she added to Nika's plea, as if the Captain had not just whispered in her ear, "I wish to speak with you, as well. Please make yourself at ease."

"Aye, ma'am," replied Junko as she relaxed from attention with the Taisa's departure. She had still been considering whether or not to stay when the Captain had arrived, but the Taii's added request solidified the impetus to remain. Settling into a seat, she glanced briefly at the officer; the Taisa's deportment - whispering, of all things? - and the Taii's reaction, however muted, certainly peaked Junko's curiosity. But she quickly drove down the sentiment and sat in silence for a moment, apparently contemplating her food; after her meditative quiet degenerated into uneasy fidgeting, she finally looked back up at the Taii. "Was there anything in particular you wished to discuss, ma'am?"

Ramiro grinned a bit as he saw Konoka coming. "Brace yourself, here comes Konoka." He smiled politely to her once she reached the table and thanked her when she congratulated him. Once she started jabbering Ramiro's eyes glazed over as he though, That mouth doesn't close does it? He watched as Konoka skipped away then turned to Sune and said, "I think the time for me to replace Kumiko has come." Ramiro saw the Taisa walking up and when he realized she was there to talk to Sune he politely got up and excused himself, figuring this wasn't his business. He thought about it for a second and then jogged off towards Konoka as he called, "Konoka, wait up."

A bit later then everyone else Tasuku finally arrived at breakfast. He seemed to have just gotten to the hotel, instead of a new type 30 uniform he was wearing a white t-shirt, and drab olive cargo pants, his black hair showed traces of dried salt, and if someone were close enough he'd have smelled faintly of the ocean.

Looks like some people have been promoted...
he thought looking around.

He'd hoped to avoid any unnecessary commotion this morning having walked much of the way to the hotel he hoped would allow him to slip in rather unnoticed a little later after most of the crew had started their breakfast, but needed to find the right person to speak to. Checking his data pad he found his answer; In Starship Operations... next up is Valencia-Heisho.

Luckily the Heisho seemed to be just getting up up from his table, "Valencia-Heisho..." he said giving a medium bow, "..if you have a moment I have something a odd to report."

Sune noted Ramiro's rapid departure just a moment before Hanako appeared before him and asked her question. He quickly swallowed the bit of food he had been eating as he quickly came to attention. She wants to do this discussion here? Not what I expected.

Sune then bowed, "Taisa, I am not entirely sure how to answer that question. When I requested assignment aboard the Eucharis, it was my desired role to take care of the crew so they could better serve the crew. However, during the last mission, I realized that being a medic was no longer sufficient. My goals, like myself, have been evolving. It may be presumptuous Taisa, but if you are asking about long term goals, I believe that one day I would like to command a ship. But for now I do know that I wish to serve the Star Army in a position that will allow my talents to be used fully, and to serve both the Empire and the Eucharis with respect and distinction. So my question Ketsurui-Taisa, is there such a position available aboard the Eucharis?"

"Why not transfer to Science for the time being?" Hanako suggested. "Carlisle-Hei is brand new and could use a mentor, and your medical training already gives you a firm foundation in the science field. Hamada, Kurusu, and I could use a good advisor, too. Science is also one of the positions that puts you both on the bridge and in away teams. Your first duty would probably be analyzing the bug data and helping us come up with defenses against them and against Mishhuvurthyar parasites."
