It was good to see the Eucharis again.

Alpha Team was the first to arrive back at the ship, with Hanako injured and carrying Mikael, also injured. She set the infantryman down just inside the cargo bay, needing a rest.

Ittô Juni Blueberry, the ship's Sensor Specialist and also a nurse, carried Mikael to the cargo elevator and then brought him into the medical lab on deck three for treatment.

"Santô Hei Nayacesen Takeyu," Hanako said, "Welcome aboard the Eucharis. Head to the bridge and see if you can raise the other teams by communicator. I need to stop by the medical lab."

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

"Yes Ma'am and thank you ma'am!" Takeyu said as he mentally recalled the schematics of a Plumeria Class Light Gunship. He into the ship and up the main passageway toward the bridge.

When he got to the bridge the doors parted and he saw another Yamataian there; he recognized her rank instantly but not her name. "Ittô Hei, I've been ordered to try and get ahold of the other teams," he said.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Hanako passed by the STV and the stacks of cargo containers and waited for the large cargo elevator to come back down, and then stepped on to its now blood-spattered surface to ride it up to deck three.

Entering the Medical Lab, Hanako found Blueberry taking off Mikael's boots and pants.

"It's not what you think!" Blueberry jokingly said, flashing Hanako a grin.

The Taisa smiled.

"He'll live," Blueberry told her, giving Mikael an injection of anesthetics to dull the pain while she began to work on his legs. "How are you?"

Hanako removed her bloodstained uniform top. "I believe I should be fine with a little HS spray." She went to get it since Blueberry was busy and Konoka was still out on mission.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Jalen and Charlie team entered the Eucharis through the increasingly bloody cargo bay door-ramp.

"Bridge, this is Jalen-Heisho reporting. Charlie team has secured the blueprints and brought two of the designers safely back. I am heading to the medbay...." Sune paused as he noticed a fresh trail of blood leading across the cargo bay.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Having taken a minute or two to find which SMG was his previous one and restocking with a handful of magazines, Ramiro followed Sune back to the Eucharis where he took up a position at the bottom of the cargo ramp. Slamming one of his four new magazines into the SMG, he turned to Kumiko and said, "It may have been overkill, but overkill is better than no kill." He turned forward again, placing the butt of the gun into to pocket of his shoulder and aiming it at the door, waiting for something to happen.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Having prepared himself somewhat for the end, Mikael was somewhat confused when he saw Hanako coming towards him. Given her condition in what he thought was a serious injury, he intially was going to protest. But she threw him over her shoulders, he just simply did his best not to bleed on her. The bouncing around didn't help with the pain, but he stayed awake.

Exchanged for another Neko carrier at the ship, he looked around the medical bay when he was placed on the bed. He was only half mentally aware when Hanako walked into the Medical Lab and didn't really understand Blueberry why the two were smiling. But he did understand why began he started to not feel his legs anymore and he just stared at the ceiling.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

By now, Blueberry had set up a blue holographic projection of Mikael's body above him, which showed the foreign objects in red. Using it to keep track of them all, she opened a TA-13 field surgery kit and began removing the shrapnel from his body one bit at a time using tweezers and (when necessary) a laser scalpel. Next, she sewed the wounds closed using the suture kit. After she was done with that, she put an IV in his wrist giving him Nekovalkyrja blood, which would heal his wounds from the inside and also replace blood he'd lost. Finally, she gently rubbed soothing burn cream onto his burns from the exploding grenade.

Meanwhile, the now-topless captain was nearby squirting some replacement blood into her wounds with a portable HS Material Container when Jalen arrived. "Welcome back," she greeted him. "How is your team?" she asked.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Before leaving the cargo bay Sune turned to Junko. "Takeda-Heisho escort our guests to the Wardroom."

Sune then entered the zero-g corridors and was grateful for the ease of movement they afforded. All too soon he was entering the medbay. He surveyed the room, and saw Hanako. Fortunately this was not the first time he had seen the Taisa topless but it was the first time he saw her injured.

Bowing only slightly out of fear of falling over, "Taisa, Charlie team is present and accounted for. Most of them are a bit bruised and battered but no life threatening injures. We have acquired the blueprints and the designers. Unfortunately one of the designers was slain in-transit." He snatched a PMS-1 from the station by the door and coded the injector and injected himself. He then made his way over to one of the medical cabinets, and prepared a local pain killer which he injected to counter the pain in his leg.

Sitting for a moment to allow the pain medicine to work he continued his report. "Valencia-Heisho, and Kumiko-Hei are stationed at the cargo bay door to provide cover for any returning members. Takeda-Heisho is securing our guests in the wardroom. In addition to the gunshot wound I received in the first attack, I have suffered a fracture of the upper femur."

He looked at the PMS Hand unit and observed the break, as he had surmised it was a clean one, but it would need to be set in order for it to heal properly. He removed the top of his Elysian garment and removed the bandages around his abdomen. With proficient ease he injected HS Material into the wound to facilitate the healing.

"The bone in my leg will need to be set to ensure proper healing." He looked around the medbay and noting the absence of Konoka's energetic self. "Taisa, any word on Beta Team?"

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

"Negative," Hanako replied, getting dressed again. "I asked the Nika and Santô Hei Nayacesen Takeyu, who joined us on the mission, to try to raise them but I haven't got anything yet. I am going up to the bridge to us moving." Hanako created a holographic countdown display to follow her around. There were less than two minutes left.

When the reached the bridge, Hanako sat in the center seat and called down to the phone by the cargo bay door.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

"That's true, but still..." Kumiko quickly set herself up, crouched at the other side of the ramp. She stacked the spare SMG clips in a row next to her, and went ahead and clipped her NSP back into it's holster. Might as well just use this. No point in wasting the ammo I have. She shrugged, checked the load in her new SMG, and put the clip back in. "Jalen-Heisho? Who all are we waiting on? I know someone beat us back, but which team was it, how many people are left?" Then she walked over to the phone. "This is Endoh-Hei."

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

"Endoh-hei," Hanako replied. "I need you to get everyone down there into the ship and close the door. We are leaving the station immediately. The Telemachus will stay behind for bravo team. Once you have everything sealed, let me know so we can get going. We only have a minute thirty before the station blows up."

Hanako watched on the screen as, just then, Tasuku arrived in the landing bay with Konoka in his arms. They were both soaked with blood and covered in what looked like small bullet holes.

"I need you and Ramiro to help them to the medical lab," Hanako added, wondering where Misaki was. There might not be enough time to send someone in after her.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Kumiko gasped when Tasaku and Konoka came in. "Yes, Taisa. Right away." She ran over to them, and took Konoka from Tasaku, motioning for Ramiro to come help Tasaku instead. "The Taisa said we're to pull back into the ship, and ready for immediate departure. Then we're to help the two of you to the medbay. Let's go." She started up the ramp, carrying Konoka as she went.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Ramiro sprinted over to Tasaku and put Tasaku's arm over his shoulders so that way Tasuka could lean against him. Ramiro then helped Tasuka limp his way into the cargo bay and slammed the button to close the ramp. He then picked up the phone for the intercom and called up the the main bridge. "Valencia to bridge. Everyone is in the ship, get us out of here fast!" Ramiro then helped Tasaku the rest of the way up to the medbay.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Takeyu's ears perked as he heard the message; a small smile creased his face. He then turned his attention to the front view screen and pondered what would happen to the station after all of this was done, would they rebuild?

His curiousity was cut short when he realized that they were still in danger. "Order's ma'am?" he asked, he knew his presence on the bridge would be very limited and he didn't really know what to do in this situation - except of course to stay out of the way.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

"Everyone?" Hanako repeated. She hasn't seen Misaki return. Regardless, they needed to leave the station. She got the ship moving and retracted the landing gear as they shot out of the station and into a massive battle as Elysian Naval ships attempted fight the NMX and defend fleeing civilian craft.

Nashoba said:
The battle for the Veritas system was not going well at all for the Alitheia Fleet, even with the fighters helping with the drones, they were too little too late. It also did not help that more ships had entered the system to join the the battle against the Elysian forces.

Legati-Chalybsel continued to bring his forces closer to the shipyards. He had already received word that they were starting a general evacuation of the facility. His forces now were having to buy time for those people. As some of the forces moved closer, a troubling event occurred. The Elysian Planetary Defense Satellite and their Defense Drone counterparts opened fire on the defenders. They also refused to respond to hails.

Chalybsel was forced to order his vessels to destroy those satellites lest they open fire on the fleeing vessels. The Cassotis and the Lilaea-class Gunships, Thantros-class Destroyers in his group where holding their own. Providing infield cover for each vessel leaving the embattled station, their job was to clear the departure path far enough for them to punch through and jump as soon as clear as the anti-FTL fields.

The Elysian crews of the fleet knew all to well what as at stake here and they continued to use everything at their disposal. Even when their ships were crippled and could no longer fire their weapons, they crews turned the ships themselves into weapons. As demonstrated when two Concordia-class scouts slammed into a pair of NMX Destroyers and exploded destroying the enemy.

To Santô Hei Nayacesen, Hanako answered "please assist the other technicians, Nitô Heisho Takeda Junko or Nitô Hei Kumiko Endoh, as needed..." Hanako replied, now busy flying the ship. "...but first, stop by the medical lab and see if anyone has seen Chusa Kurusu."

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Konoka had never realized so much pain was possible before. But wait a minute....SHE was the medic here. If she was bleeding and pained and all, who the heck was going to be doing all the doctoring? The medic wasn't supposed to get hurt. The medic was supposed to fix people who got hurt. But wait....she thought as pain throbbed through her reeling head....if she was this messed up, what was going on with everyone else? Could they be hurt, too? This thought immediately made her forget all her pain. She noticed someone carrying her to help. Help. She was the ship helper. What the fish was going on with the world?

She croaked, "Please.....Is everyone.....Everyone....Are they....They're here? Are they....They're OK? Arent't they.....?" Being a doctor, she knew she was in bad shape. Really bad shape. If she was the one helping instead of the one bleeding, she'd advise herself not to talk, to just relax, help was on the way. But who the fish would help her? It didn't matter. She didn't matter, to her, as much as the safety of everyone else. "Please......Have to help.....Have to help everyone....The others....My team....Are they......?"

Again, Konoka's medical sensibilities were telling her not to try to talk, not to overexert herself. Meanwhile, her compassion and worrywart tendencies were screaming at her to think about everyone else, make sure they were safe. To fish eyes with her, her safety. She didn't care. She really, honestly didn't care.

"Help them....."

She blinked, then slipped into unconscious oblivion.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

((OOC: Gonna need to settle this first.))

Sune took his communicator out and signaled the ship, "Himeya-Hei, Charlie Team is returning, we have the blueprints and two of the designers. We are establishing a perimeter to protect the Eucharis and assist the other teams. Do you have a status on Alpha and Beta teams?"

"Charlie Team, this is Bridge. Good to hear from you! Explosions were heard where Alpha and Bravo Teams had their last comms. I hope they are ok..."

Kyle said:
When he got to the bridge the doors parted and he saw another Yamataian there; he recognized her rank instantly but not her name. "Ittô Hei, I've been ordered to try and get ahold of the other teams," he said.

Nika was all the while at the bridge monitoring the visuals at the cargo bay. She was very worried as the time remaining for the station's self-destruct sequence was not far behind Still she sighed in relief on seeing Alpha Team's arrival, amid the casualties. By then the ship was ready to go and awaiting orders for launch.

"Ohh hello..." She looked at Takeyu, then realised she had dazed off at someone she did not know, "Yes... Charlie Team reported back earlier, but it looked like you all came in faster amid the explosion at your area."

"Bridge, this is Jalen-Heisho reporting. Charlie team has secured the blueprints and brought two of the designers safely back. I am heading to the medbay...."

It was just then Charlie Team came into view. Their casualties were low and they were quick in setting up defence parameters, "Charlie Team just came in... Bravo Team is not bac..."

The appearance of Tasuku was another relief, but with the injured and unconscious Konoka on his back and the absence of Misaki made her shook her head, "Correction... Bravo Team is back... however... Chusa Kurusu..."

With that, Nika switched over to Broadcast speakers within the ship, "Taisa, Bravo and Charlie Team has returned. Orders?" She knew she would not be getting any as Hamako entered the Bridge and took control; the ship's cargo door closed and began its flight out of the station into the intense battlefield before them. The neko hurriedly switched her attention to the ship's system, making sure the shields are up to take on any stray shots from both sides.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

"Aye Ma'am," said Takeyu as he left the bridge. He headed down the passageway, but stumbled every now and then. When he got to the medical bay he wasn't entirely prepared for the carnage.

He had seen casualties before during his time as a miner, such as when a mining explosive prematurally detonated or when the mining beam misfired and hit a manned drone. Of course, in that situation, he rarely saw people with all their limps - or their senses.

Taking in the scene he looked for someone, a nurse or a medic, and soon found a nurse - but no medic - a Ittô Juni tending to someone and carefully he walked up to her. "Ma'am, the Taisa wanted to know if Chusa Kurusu has been here," he asked her. He would've used the rank, but he wasn't to certain of the rank.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

The blue-haired warrant officer wearing green (science) panels on her uniform was running the medical lab for the time being. This was Ittô Juni Blueberry, the ship's sensor specialist who had once been a sprite created as a medic-scientist before the two occupations were split. Her old training was now proving invaluable since everyone else with medical training (Sune and Konoka) were now injured.

"Sune, I will get to your leg in little bit," Blueberry told Jalen-Heisho, leaving the freshly-patched-up Mikael to attend to the badly damaged Konoka.

"I have not seen the Chusa. Help me get her undressed," Blueberry ordered Takeyu, already working on getting the medic's shirts off so she could see and get to the wounds. After they had her naked, Blueberry immediately hooked up an IV tube to give Konoka fresh blood and fluids, as well as an injection from a medical scanner. A holographic image of all the wounds and shrapnel appeared over Konoka's body. The warrant officer immediately went to work removing the shrapnel and patching up the holes with stitches and liquid bandage.

As Blueberry continued working she spoke to Jalen. "Ittô Heisho, I hate to have to ask you this, but are you able to stand on your good leg and work on Ittô Hei Tasaku Yarani? He has similarly severe wounds as Konoka including one that punctured his eye and brain. He needs your expert treatment."

"Wipe your feet before exiting," Blueberry reminded Takeyu. The floor was covered in blood.

Re: [Mission 8.3] Escape From Veritas

Takeyu did as she had suggested, the smell of copper in the air didn't sit to well with him after the short time he had been there.

He hit the phone first and relayed what Blueberry had told him. "Chusa isn't here ma'am, if I see him while heading to engineering I'll let him know you need him," he said.

With that he hung up; then took a slight glance down the passage way and decided to try and search for the Nitô Heisho Takeda Junko or the Nitô Hei Kumiko.
