Miko reacted quickly when the new person decided to show up in the shaft next to his. He also took this opportunity to put himself between Eden and the possible danger. He would not let anything happen to his officers, not on his watch. His drones hovered over head trained on the guy in the shaft ready to act at a moments notice.

"Aye, get out of that shaft before your made into cat food from a passing lift." Miko said in a commanding voice. "Who do you swear loyalty too." He asked in a stern voice.

"If you haven't grouped up already," Eden shouted, "you're getting left behind or need to get to the shuttle back to the Kaiyo."

She asked quickly and coolly over comms, "Tien-Taii, how are you doing?"

Eden launched herself past the stranger and called out to him over speakers, "Get yourself to the hangars on the outside of the station!! There's a shuttle there to take you to asylum if you need it and the safety that we have!" Mark would see Eden plunge herself down the hall. To her team she said, "We don't have time for these fuu-ed up shafts. Let's get something bigger and better to work with. Follow me!" Eden set a chibi up on the lower left of everyone's HUD of herself that and then grew smaller as it was activated on their maps. She ran forward down the hall, away from the Kaiyo crew and the odd man out.

A faster way up than flying up an elevator shaft directly to the floor of the command room? What could be better than our suits? , Walter thought to himself as Eden ran off. Come to think of it, why do we run instead of utilizing our flight capabilities?

Instead of standing around judging his own officer, he took off, using his suit to gain the extra distance needed to catch up to the Neko. "What do you have that can be better than going up an elevator shaft, Eden-shosa?", he asked. "That was a direct route up to command, and a fast one if we used our suits to ascend it."

Miko looked at the map on his HUD which was showing the fastest GPS route was the elevator shafts. He put his finger up to speak as he watched Eden bolt down the hallway. He paused as his eyes narrowed. He thought to himself, this is why they should leave the battle plans up to the people who can read a map.

After a moment and watching his HUD display the Eden mark on it move away from him he decided it would be best to follow. Partly because he figured Eden might get herself into trouble. The drones moved out in front of him, low to the ground. Miko jumped forward and the drones caught him mid air. He was now flying low to the ground, using the drones like they were a motor bike.

"Kaaaoowwwww-aaaaaaa-sakiiiiiiior siiiiiiiii-zuuuuuuuu-keeeeee." Were the sounds he made while chasing after Eden.

From her position at the helm of the small craft, Kaede immediately felt the Raccoon shudder oddly as she pushed the CFS system to full combat status. A "Nani kore...?" escaped from the brown-haired logistics soldier's lips, as warnings started flowing in that showed the aether generator's energy output dropping on a sharp curve, forcing her to have to rapidly draw down the shields to keep the propulsion and vital systems functioning.

"Misaki-chui...W-we are losing power... I think there is a generator malfunction." There was no panic, but definitely concern in the Joto Hei's cool voice as she looked aside to the officer for only the briefest of moments, before beginning to bring up recent maintenance logs for a clue for what might have occurred while she still had control. "If I can't get it cleared, we'll have to rely on the Kaiyo's graviton beams to pull us back into the hanger before we are a sitting duck."

Negligence or sabotage, the timing was indeed most inconvenient, with William's life hanging in the balance behind them.

The mother-to-be inhaled tensely as the report of the malfunction came in from the shuttle. Something inside of her seemed to click-a mother's feeling, perhaps, for a child in danger? Or the bond of two people fighting for their lives. Regardless, the smol sent a command to the MEGAMI on the hidden winds of telepathy, requesting for something she called the "Death Blossom".

The Fuji-class seemed to suddenly burst with energy, the internal generators beginning to shout in protest as they worked the massive load of the ship's various weapons arrays, mass drivers and aether cannons working well past their safety benchmarks in a psychedelic, bullet-hell-like storm of firepower. The enemy gunships seemed to detonate in twos and threes at a time as aether fizzled against their shields and an antimatter slug annihilated their armor and hulls, the field of pure death forcing back those that survived for a short time.

The weapons operator's little event drew to a closed after but thirty seconds, causing a mildly concerning amount of damage reports to appear on Nerai's systems console-one of the mass drivers had jammed for sure, and the turbo aether cannons were overheated, but somehow the ship was still flying and fighting... And they had a small fleet of enemy starship corpses to show for their trouble.

Mark disengaged his heat blades and hopped to the landing before the group, the minimal light doing little to highlight his black armor, or it's red markings which as a whole had been pretty scratched and in some cases slightly scorched. Though before he had a chance to even introduce himself, everybody just ran off without him.

"*sigh* Well they seem friendly." Mark muttered to himself before taking the pack off and held it by the carry handle as he engaged his jets. He braced himself in a skier's stance as the thruster units fired sending him sliding down the corridor after the group. After a moment he was able to make up most of the lost ground, and switched to a thrust assisted sprint to avoid overheating them and to allow them to charge as he went.

Mark spoke through his own speakers to the apparent leader of the group, not even sure if she would be able to hear him, "Kaiyo? Is that a ship? Where is here exactly?"

The Kaiyo stopped its movement as the bloom and flare of the hail of destruction drew to a close. Best stay stationary to let the capacitors recharge.

The little fox whistled. Wow, now that was the sheer power and destruction a damn good weapons operator could bring, something she’d only seen the best Neko gunners pull off. And here, an Elysian performed it with ease — not by controlling everything through SPINE, but utilizing basic weapons grouping, and having hotkeys to change weapon groupings, letting MEGAMI do the hard work instead of her own mind. This was why the Elysians were so threatening in the wars, Kyoi guessed.

“Should’ve used that sooner, Arbs.” she commented. “We were kiting the enemy for too long. Is the shuttle clear?”

"I would have rather preferred to not make Anastasia and the other technicians angry at all. As far as it stands, we've got some guns that won't be usable for he rest of the fight because of this." The woman sighed a little, resting a hand briefly on her slightly swollen abdomen. She took a moment to think about her response, before saying, "The shuttle isn't in immediate danger for the moment, but that won't last. We'd do best to get those inside back onto the Kaiyo while we have the time to do so."

The ex-Shan reminded herself to apologize to Anastasia and uhh... what's his name... Wally? Walter. In person.

The pilot snorted. “Eh. Things happen. Let them be angry at us, at least we won the fight efficiently.”

She set the Kaiyo on a path to drift towards the shuttle, activiating the graviton beam to haul it in.

“You’d make a pretty good mother, you know.” Kyoi stated. “Hey, when’s the baby shower?”

The fox turned her face away quickly, artificially adjusting her ears and tail to appear calm. Seems like she herself wanted something-or-other of a relationship, subconsciously.

Eh. Fly single for a few years, why don’t you.

Sacre could sense William's life force ebbing away. A fear struck her, fear that she was going to loose William. She hadn't lost anyone since she had lost her whole platoon in a battle. That he was unconscious was disturbing. She got a grip of herself. She was not going to lose William. She was not going to lose anyone, not if she could help it.

She hung a bag of clear solution and ran a line to join the blood bag in William's arm. Then she carefully started to remove the now blood soaked bandages that they had stuffed in his wounds. He was still loosing a lot of blood, she needed to stop the bleeding. The lights went out. Undetered, she switched her visor to night vision mode and overlaid the wound tracks she had mapped earlier.

She could feel her hands shake as the shuttle rocked from something exploding nearby. The fear gripped her again, and she tried to steady her hand, but couldn't. She was going to lose William and it was going to be her fault. Just like on the hellhole. She could feel the panic rising in her chest. "No, You won't die. You can't die. I won't let you." She said, unaware that she was speaking out loud. She steadied her hands and started to work quickly to plug the leaks.

William's breathing became shallow as he looked up at the ceiling of the shuttle. To the Nepleslian's credit, he was fighting for all he was worth. He stayed awake through the pain in his upper body and ignored the fact that his lower half felt numb. He couldn't think about that now, he had to stay awake.

Then he felt the shuttle shudder, and he inhaled sharply. "What's going on...?" He asked to no one in particular. It was to dark. If he didn't focus he would fall asleep. An overwhelming sense of dread overwhelmed him in that instant. Fear that he would fall asleep and not be able to wake up.

At that moment he heard Sacre's words. "Sacre-San..." He craned his neck so that he could look up, his eyes focusing on her. "Thank you Sacre-San." He said, the dread and fear dissipating.

Clearing her throat for a second, Nerai swiftly replied to Hoshi's command. "Right Chusa. Assault team one is currently grouping up for a straight rush on the enemy's control position. Assault team two has departed via shuttle with the medevac on board. Currently reveiving supporting fire from Iem-.."

It was then that the candyfloss bird let out the Fuji's Ultimate, making sure every barrel in the Kaiyo's arsenal wouldn't go unused for even a second. As overwhelming as this display of firepower was, it also proved a point on why said safety limits were there in the first place. The whole event shook the bridge slightly, leaving Nerai to gaze at the colourful onslaught in awe.

"...ochi-heisho...... pardon my french but what the HECK was that!?" Not even a second later the many warnign signs and error messages appeared on the systems monitor, causing the little FARS by the name of "Ferdi" to flip it's proverbial shit, beeping loudly. Glancing over, she waved at the little smartdisc to come over and show what's wrong, projecting her sreen in a slightly smaller version next to the XO chair.

"Yare yare daze......Reporting offensive systems damage. Got one mass driver thoroughly jammed, some internal fractures too. Permanently ofline untill repaired. Also most, if not all turbo-aether batteries are overheated over set safety limits. Entered emergency cooldown protocol, back online in 2 minutes. Point defense arrays show no irregularities."

Even with big momma kaiyo huffing and puffing after overworking herself, Nerai did acknowledge it was a good move to keep the shuttle clear for a tad longer, especially with those irregular energy readings coming from it. Nevertheless, she let out a sigh, not unlike a disappointed mother would do with her clumsy child. "Nothing too serious, thankfully...... at least we know who's not getting dessert tonight."

Komorebi station
Hallway

With the snekbear duo being only one corner away from the rest of the gang, Abart rushed in their direction at the call of Eden's voice. He'd spent too much time clearing too many empty rooms. For a station as huge as this, the amount of personnel was remarkably low..... it was an unpleasant thought, but it was a good help to them thus far, so no complaints there. Then again he had been snooping around rooms a bit too much as well, as some of the things in here were most intruiging.

Still, no time to be dillydallying. A quick glide through the air led the Separa around the corner to the rest of the team. From his position he could see Yoshida..... Eden..... Miles..... Miko for some reason..... and one guy with a strong "the heck am i doing here" look to him. Clearly the Kaiyo crew was on a roll with picking up random people in the field. Where's Kyoi with her granola bars when you need her? ...Hopefully behind the kaiyo's helm, otherwise they would be in trouble.

With a shake of his head, he stopped the derailing though train and chased after Eden, who just took off to..... whatever she had in mind.

Also it just occurred to him he's actually never had a proper granola bar before. Should ask Kyoi sometime.....

Space Station
Hangar 2

As soon as Mat got the orders to join up with the second assault team, he began to make his way towards the nearby hangar where they were supposed to meet up before going to rescue William.

Going outside the station was too risky, he decided, because of all of the point defense out there. After determining this, he found his way over to a corridor that he thought went towards the proper hangar, opened the door and began to make his way down it at a fast sprint.

When he made it past a couple of doors that led to the innards of the station, his sensors would pick up signatures just beyone the door in front of him.

Matsuvo took a brief moment, and examined the signatures to the best of his ability. He could make out ten power armors in the next area.

With reflexes honed by training and experience, Mat slid to a stop just before the door, and pulled two grenades off his waist, one from either side. One was a standard EMP grenade, and the other a scalar pulse grenade. He primed them, opened the door and tossed them through, waiting for a moment for the effects of the two grenades to dissapate.

The EMP grenade should weaken or shut down the shields of the large group of power armors, and the scalar one should wreak havok with their electronic systems.

After the effects dissapated, Matsuvo rounded the corner with his accelerated plasma rifle raised, appraising the situation and identifying threats.
One L'Kor in power armor was struggling to get to their feet while a half dozen others lay scattered. The other L'Kor behind the door the scalar and EMP had gone into had dispersed, though and the only place they could have gone was beyone a different door deep within the security ready room the dying L'Kor were in.

Mat activated the forearm weapons on his left arm and allowed his right to drop to his side. The forearm weapons, which were rated to be somewhat effective against mecha sized targets, should have no problem taking out the unshielded enemies down on the floor, and he wanted to save his heavier ordenance for when he needed it.

Mat swept his forearm, which was now blazing and spitting out Aether fire, across the unlucky L'kor soldiers.

After those targets were eliminated, he moved up to the room the other L'kor had run into, and scanned the room with his sensors.

He couldn't risk having them come up behind him. Four more targets were set up, two on the ground and two behind heavy pieces of furniture, in an adjoining room, but Mat's sensors weren't able to pick up their positions or numbers, just that there were signatures beyond the door.

Mat decided to spare the grenades for this group. He knew that of the ten he had encountered, he had killed a good half dozen or so, therefore there couldn't be very many of that group left.

He opened the door and took a moment to scan his eyes across the room, having his suit lock onto each enemy he could see, and then having it fire his shoulder mounted gun at each target in turn while he brought his rifle to bear on any that survived.

Mat took some moderate damage, as was expected of his brute force entrance to the room with the L'Kor within it. Within their gold and green PA they moved quickly and efficiently, but their own shields also couldn't stand much more from his attack.

Mat flared his thrusters briefly, jetting over to the closest enemy and jamming his fist into their torso before firing his forearm weapon multiple times into them, and then grabbed the body and used it as a shield. He spun around slowly, facing each target in turn and fired a single shot from his plasma rifle into each of them, aiming for the center of mass.

The L'Kor knocked by Mat's fist moved away from him and made to bludgeon him on the back of his head with the butt of the L'Kor's own aether rifle while Mat focused on the other three, one of which had suffered power failure in their suits from Mat's attack.

When the blow collided with the back of his head, Mat was jarred for a moment, but there was only so much a blow like that could do. He then proceded to use the hand holding the L'kor to flip them over to in front of him, and tossed them against one of the remaining power armors.

Definitely not hard enough to kill either the one who had been thrown or the one who he had thrown at, but hopefully hard enough to knock them down long enough for him to put a shot through the two.

Both of the L'Kor in front of him ended up fatally wounded after Mat put two rounds, one for each, in them.

Mat then concentrated on the one remaining opponent, who he charged at after activating his forearm weapon to act like a blade, and attempted to get in a fatal slice.

The forearm weapons began to pound into the L'Kor's brittle unshielded armor from when Mat assailed them previously. The opponent fell to the ground, simply knocked off of his feet but had not suffered internally as the forearm projections had simply gone through the armor, not their body yet.

They flapped his great wings before falling completely and with a small thrust was pushing into the air and held out a hand for Mat, as if asking forgiveness.

Mat barely paused for a moment, before gesturing to the L'kor in a clear message to leave, and not to even think about trying to follow him.

The L'Kor grabbed at Mat more fully, groping towards his neck and started pulling on Mat's Mindy's panels of Zesu. He was not anywhere near capable of tearing any of the Mindy apart. That didn't stop him from looking like he was trying.

Inside his armor, Mat sighed, then gripped at the feeble L'kor's helmet and promptly jerked the head off to a painful looking angle.

The body slumped and was dead.

Mat scanned the room briefly, making sure that there were no more threats before he checked the radio chatter again. It seemed like everyone was making their way back to the Kaiyo now, and that he'd been held up for longer than he thought.

He made his way to the hangar where the rest of his power armored comrades were gathering, and waved a weary hello.

"Sorry I'm late, I got caught up on my way over to join the assault team, and had to deal with a few L'kor."

Station

As Eden finally got to her destination after running through hallway after hallway, she punched through a console outside of a blast shutter door and gripped the innards and wires, then pulled them towards her. The blast door swung open for her and the gang was all behind her, or at least a partial grouping of Kaiyo personnel, and the Yamataian officer moved in swiftly through the open door to see a small cylindrical hangar in the center of the station they were in. The hangar was only open towards the top and the only ship was a bullet-shaped large gunship of Kuvexian design.

Shiny golden orange power armored troops occupied the area, of Kuvexian design as well, and Eden dodged the entire group of them by teleporting directly to the closing cargo bay doors of the gunship and she grabbed one, halting the ascent of the bottom door. She called out to her team to help her and Walter and Miko had teleported to assist her. Within a handful of seconds the three of them had re-opened the cargo bay doors by pulling them down again just as the orange power armored troops were redirecting their aim towards their positions.

"Get in!" Eden called as she ducked through the cargo bay doors and shot out her forearm cannon at the unarmored Kuvexians within the ship. Unlike the L'Kor, the Kuvexians did bleed and those that followed Eden would be able to see the ears of the first shot Kuvexian twitch slightly as they lay on the cargo bay floor. Eden shoved the sole of her Mindy's foot hard into an access panel one hallway later and the door opened, then she promptly kicked the access panel once more to close it.

"In case none of you saw," Eden said, "There are two Kuvexians in power armor beyond that door. I want Alpha formation. That means two on top two on bottom, extras on the side. Stack sunny side up." She expected them to know what she meant by that. She stood by the door's access panel, watched them get in formation, then slammed her fist onto the access panel as she shouted.

Eden's voice rang out to those of her team on the Kuvexian gunship, "Make 'em taste aether!"

Miko was sticking close to Eden as they dashed down the hallways. This was the first time he got to see her in action and had to admit this was very impressive the level of skill she showed.

As she called for alpha formation Miko just grinned. As she explained the formation it sounded more like something he had seen in the mess hall than a combat formation.

"You got it Eden, will thrust in deep and try not to scramble their eggs." Miko said with a laugh as his weapon and drones trained on the door. As it started to open his rifle turned into a long aether blade. He vaulted over the door when it was half open and tackles the closest power armor. Drones over head were giving cover fire while he spared with the Kuvexian. Miko had much training when it came to hand to hand combat both from his life experiences and from basic training.

"Lets rock and roll." He said while blocking a strike from the Kuvexian, a kick coming in low and from the side. The light of his aether sword danced around while trying to get a clean strike on the fellow.

Station

Mat surveyed the incoming enemies for a moment, before tossing an EMP and then a scalar grenade , bringing him down to one EMP and two Scalar left. His toss was towards the rear of the enemy formation, far enough back that it would catch several enemies in their blast radiuses but not his allies.

Then he jumped up and over Miko and the Kuvexian that his ally was dueling, fired off his plasma rifle with his right hand, and with his left he sprayed Aether from his forearm weapon.

"Hey Miko, you're a chef. I'm sure you know the saying about omelettes..."

Yoshida stuck close to Eden the whole way- not getting a chance to fire much as most contact with the enemy wasn't lasting long enough to meriyt a spinup from the aether gattling rifle. Sadly it wasn't always the most effecient tool to carry around- her extra capacitors on the other hand proved quite useful as she teleported along side Eden. Yoshida herself chose to take top when they finally reached the access point. "Huh, about time we saw one or two of those." Kokoro grinned, eager to finally take down a soldier of the empire of cowards that hid behind so many mercenaries.

The neko pulled the trigger a moment before Eden's hand moved to slap the panel, with a sense of impecible timing that nearly roasted the door that once was in between her and the enemy, saved only by Eden's abuse of the access panel. If she had anything to say about it, everything on the wrong side of her pink plasma spitter would be slagged by the time she stopped shooting.

Station

Eden had sent a message to the civilian male humanoid on the station they had encountered in the elevator shaft to get to the shuttle immediately and not to ask any more questions. She tasked one of the infantry Neko with finding and evacuating him immediately. Her and her Mindy should be enough.

Miko's decision to football field tackle the large Kuvexian armor meant that they would try to commit a scalar attack against the Mindy armor, but the CFS of the Mindy meant it didn't work. While the Kuvexian in the armor did this, or attempted to, it gave Miko a moment to fill with an attack of his own.

Mat's plasma and aether meant the Kuvexian had little defense right away, though he did have a weapon somewhat like a broadsword and katana made of steaming aether like the ABSR of the Mindy. The broadsword hit at Mat's torso in a clean swipe.

Pink plasma poured into the sleek yet oversized PA of the Kuvexians just as the door between the enemy and Yoshida opened. At the same time, the cargo bay doors of the ship sealed and the ship itself began take-off protocols. It was made apparent the ship was taking off too quickly very early on as some systems were not turned online and the group of PA would find they needed to engage thrusters and everyone was jostled in one way or another.

She shouted into comms, "EVACUATE THE STATION!" She watched as she synced everyone but those on the gunship to teleport to the shuttle and even the civvie made it. She watched through Misaki and Kaede's HUD as the shuttle took off away from the station, whose first explosion had already taken lives.

"SOFT is back on the Kaiyo and shuttle is off the station!" Eden relayed when it was true and she swept her sensors to see that her small team was on a disembarked gunship free from the station as the phallic station blew into a fiery mess. Something on Ana's HUD had shown her bits and pieces, but it was fading... Eden murmured, "Hanna... Ana..."

After a moment she snapped back to attention and Eden called out, "Kaiyo, please rendezvous with the ship we are on and allow for teleportation, then clean everything up!" She looked around to see one of the PA began to target Eden specifically, the one Yoshida had gone after. The enemy PA was shooting a forearm weapon steadily as they jet through space towards the XO while her attention was focused elsewhere. Mat and Miko's target had become stable once more but was backed into a corner by the two.

Mark had been brought aboard the shuttle as combat raged on, a little ticked with everyone leaving him at first. He moved around the shuttle until he found what looked like a medic watching a male with IV's running into his veins, but his wounds although patched still bled.

"I can help mam. My suite has a non-toxic sealant that will stop the bleeding. Cut the suite and let it run into the wound. Please allow me to help, it's the least I can do for your teams rescue. With your ok of course. I only wish to help." Mark said as he removed his black helmet revealling his white hair, glowing red irises, the scar running down his right eye, the double helix tattoo curving around his left eye, and nepleslian features. He would quickly trigger the armor pieces of his right forearm to separate and detach falling to the deck revealling the undersuite underneath.

"Please, I can help him." Mark pleaded baring his unarmored forearm.
