Yss Kaiyo hallways

Mat teleported into the hallways, then burst through the door to the power armor bay, attempting to survey the situation.

"What's the situation here?!"

"Connect the TTD of this universe to the equipment of yours," All said giddily. "Let's see if this works!" He turned to Iemochi. "Tell your captain's lass to fire on the IYS Kaiyō the moment the equipment is powered back up!" To Anastasia and Arbitrated, he said, "Plug it into the array, hurry! Then turn the generators on. Make the boom go sproing and we'll all be where you came from!"

Mat would find himself walking directly into William's NMX armor, bumping into it on his way inside of the power armor bay.

Boss spoke out in her kind voice while her sprite popped up in his HUD, "Please do not approach the Princess any further. For her safety it is best if you stay where you are."

While the MEGAMI spoke, the alternate Meissa used the distraction of Mat's arrival to pick up and throw her own power armor's top half at Aiko and Rei, yelling out a kiai as she did. The alternate Mat then jumped to the side of the thrown armor then shot out his leg to sweep Rei's.

In another series of flashes and explosions, Hanna teleported behind Norogumi Eden as the framework she had been next to an instant before exploded. When she popped into existence behind her target, Hanna only had to move her arm slightly to the left before she fired a point-blank shot at Eden's head.

Space/YSS Kaiyō Hallways

The ongoing assault on the IYS Kaiyō lit up the void as Hanna flew between the two ships. Once she was within range, Hanna teleported into the hallways of her home ship. She did not power down her armor just yet, as her sensors still registered hostiles within the ship. Instead, she opted to stand guard just outside of the power armor bay while Meissa went to engineering to install the components that would presumably get them home.

Arbles put her hand on the toggle switch and firmly held on to it. "In position to activate the generator on command." The telepathic message bounced through the ship to Anastasia, All, Mochi, AND Misaki all at once.

The smol Elysian trembled a little bit. If the array was assembled normally with the proper parts, as soon as it would fire she would be deleted from the universe if she was in this crawlspace. Of course the aether reactor was here instead of the shock array but... She didn't believe that made her any more safe here. So the best thing to do would be to flip the switch and hope Saki doesn't take the whole "as soon as possible" to the absolute literal definition... But at least the array would still technically show up as online when this switch was flipped, and this plan had been talked about for a little bit beforehand.

The real Mat's arrival was more an annoyance than a distraction, but an exploitable distraction for the IYS Mat and Meissa nonetheless. It was right when Aiko's momentary death stare addressed the incoming Mindy's crunch with Wil's Reaper that they made their move, lashing out at the princess and her bodyguard. It was as good a plan as they could ever realize, given the circumstances.

Rei, for her part, zipped away in a blur to avoid the chunk of armor and Mat's low attack. She reappeared behind Meissa with the razor's edge of her sword pressed up to the Neko girl's throat while the warrior's other arm grappled tightly around her waist in restraint. And as the tossed power armor chest sailed through where Rei was previously standing, Aiko struck back.

The princess ducked low, both to match her adversary and to make sure the heavy object barreling down on her missed, and slid quickly toward Eve's version of Matsuvo. She wasn't as inexplicably fast as Rei, but Yui's daughter still moved like lightning, propelled forward by her strong valkyrie legs and inertial control. Before he even realized Rei was gone, Aiko was upon him with her katana extended out through where he knelt for his attack on the samurai.

Aiko then stood at the place where her sweep ended. Her eyes were closed and remained so as she re-sheathed her blade. The Neko Meissa squirmed violently in Rei's arms but stopped — neither in excitement or horror, but anticipation — when she saw her comrade Mat still breathing behind Aiko.

"Hah!" the IYS Mat shot mockingly. He began to turn his head to the side so that he could look down on the Ketsurui with disdain. "You missed!"

But there was at which his gaze stopped tracking and the whole power armor bay seemed to weirdly shift sideways and tumble around, and his body wouldn't move to stand when he told it to.

Restrained by the killer's bodyguard, all Meissa of Eve's Yamatai could do was watch as her friend's body slumped over and gushed like a fountain of Hinomaru crimson as his head bounced across the deck.

Anastasia did not answer to All, her gut was slowly curling as the away team fatalities were listed. She worked in silence, hoping Yoshida was doing alright but not feeling strong enough to ask. She turned to the door, before being stopped as Meissa burst through it.

"Thank you." The Elysian said, taking the TTD from her owl crewmate. She continued talking as she rushed back over to the side of the reactor-turned-array, trying to comfort Meissa the best she could. "She didn't die in vain."

Anastasia worked quickly, attaching the TTD manually to the array-ngement. She made sure all the cables were securely grounded and that the inconspicuous box was firmly held in place with some quick welding. It was messy, but better than dying in an aether explosion.

The technician stepped back, still slightly shaken. "It's ready. Let's take her home."

With that, Anastasia climbed up to the main control panel sitting atop the engineering bay like a throne room. She dismissed the whole sea of errors, warnings, and default protocols to bring up the rigged array controls. "Ready when you are, Arbitrated, Misaki."

"I know." Meissa replied. "She didn't. I made sure of that."

Meissa stepped back as her fellow Elysians, ones more well versed in the art of creation rather than destruction, did their work.

YSS Kaiyo
Main Cannon Junction Room, Pre-Activation

Arbles flipped the switch, immediately opening the doorway to get out of this deathtrap room. The text changed color and data, glowing fiercely the word "ONLINE". The little birb ducked inside and shut the door as soon as she could.

Bridge

Misaki felt her mental control over the plumeria expand to encompass the "Main Weapon Array" immediately when Arbles flipped the switch. On Kyoi's console as well as the unoccupied Shan's, the option to prime the array and fire it lit up again, having been dark and unusable for the whole fight so far.

Bridge

It was time to open up the symphony, and Misaki held the baton. The exec's mind focused on the task at hand, and took the entirety of the YSS Kaiyo onto her shoulders. Everything began to recite in her head as she ran the diagnostics and began to cycle.

Code:
Main Aether Array Ignition: START

Safety Status: OFF

Acquiring Lock...

The Kaiyo's main battery guns continued to unleash their strings of blue, the Antimatter Positron Cannons on the wings silently added the baseline, intermixing with the main battery salvos. It was the end of the first movement and the last. Misaki needed the final device, the final instrument. She gave the slightest of sniffles while gently stroking back Kikyo's hair.

Code:
Lock Achieved.

Final Safety Offline - Main Aether Array Status:

ARMED.

Misaki's lip was quivering, and once again she found herself speaking to no one in particular. It was as if she was talking to everyone yet no one.

"Eden, don't leave us."

With the baton in the upward movement, the down of the first beat signaled the centerpiece instrument. The mighty Aether Array activated, with the IYS Kaiyo within its sights, and a deadly, bloodthirsty, and broken handler.

Mochi grew more and more fascinated in the simulations for the dynamically structured array - this was sure to be spectacular one way or another. He adjusted a few parameters as they went, doing his part to increase their chance of success. As Meissa stumbled into the room, the scientist went to go for the SLAM before realising it was indeed her and returning to the pad. As Arbles switched the flip, Mochi nodded wordlessly to their omnipotent friend - allowing a few seconds for the smolbirb to get clear before messaging the Bridge "Misaki, array is coming online. Ready to fire."

YSS Kaiyō

The YSS Kaiyō forcibly destroyed the IYS Kaiyō, a ship that held the remains of the now-dead Teien Eden and Orion Jones, the latter of which had already begun his creation in the YSS Kaiyō's med lab. The entire power armor bay had detonated, Norogumi Eden had been struck in the head by Hanna Madsen with a point-blank bullet, killing her, and the crew of the IYS ship had been blown to bits by Teien Misaki's genius workings in a flash of bright pink, indistinguishably pleasant light. It warmed the crew of the YSS Kaiyō as the IYS versions of themselves were destroyed, finally. The All ship was rocketed backwards by the explosion and a second after the IYS ship was torn asunder, YSS Kaiyō raced through space. At first, it was in the All and the IYS Kaiyō's universe and then, as it passed through the remnants of the IYS Kaiyō, it wasn't.

In a matter of nanoseconds, YSS Kaiyō's sensors and communications arrays began giving the bridge crew a plethora of information. Boss overrode Misaki and Riku and contacted the only Yamatai she wanted to know. With that signal, the MEGAMI sent a little package to Eden's home.

They were all back. Back where they belonged. MEGAMI told them as much.

"Welcome back, YSS Kaiyō."

Somewhere in Yamatai

From all across the Empire bodies were killed off in the heat of battle and bodies were formed in this medical center if their ships' own MEGAMI relayed the STs to Yamatai instead of their own onboard facilities. The head of staff of the medical center stood in front of dozens of hemosynth tubes and raised one brow as she looked at the readout as a skeleton was formed in one of the many tubes. She had read the name and ship origin and looked a bit shocked. She double checked the information in her mind, then sent a message to Star Army Command, telling them that an old ST of Teien Eden was being created in a tube due to fatality in the field while serving on the missing YSS Kaiyō. What Command did with that information was up to them.
