I'm not saying you aren't. I'm actually kinda glad you're using Canon as a reason, instead of thinking people will willingly turn their brains off to understand what you submit. ^_~
Each individual system can work mostly independently of the others with a few exceptions so if the damage is done there then not all of the systems would go down.
However, all of the systems share the same negative energy/tachyon generator which either directly or indirectly provides all of the functions. If that sustains damage then the device would be completely unable to operate any of its functions.
Though I still don't understand what is keeping this from being approved.
The entire entry about de-approving tech and receding privileges has been crossed out. There is no reason to think that for some reason the tech remains de-approved.
Then may I ask why this has been unapproved? The only problem with the submission I am aware of is that people have been manufacturing drama around it.
I'm going to vote yes, because of it's possibility for existence and usefulness. But my personal dislikes about it are the fact that it does seem to do too much for a single submission. I just think that it's a massive jump to stick IC to say that we have this Tachyon generator and all the accessories. I think it would make more sense if we stared with the generator and just one or two uses of it, then had the developer produce more as time went on.
As in I would propose approving it all at once and have the individual pieces outfitted over a long period of time as they are 'developed IC.' That is, if it isn't already set up to be like that.
This device was designed with all it's abilities at launch. There's no, "just energy now, other things later." They all work when this thing is activated. That's the point. Which is also the reason it's unbalanced.
You say it's not independent systems, then you say it is. Make up your mind please.
(You say it is for the purpose of damage calculation.... If you take a strike to this, you should lose everything, after all it's MORE EFFICIENT.... or you collect the tachyons and systems independently.... which is REDUNDANT but that's a good thing on military vehicles)

Everyone keeps on calling this "unbalanced." Unbalanced in relation to what?
The space station that can blow your balls off with an aether beam from ten light years away?
The power armor that can poof out of thin air and turn you from flesh and blood to floating atoms in under a tenth of a second?
It's an idiotic argument, considering that as Wes has stated several times in other threads, THERE IS NO BALANCE IN THIS SETTING.
Or does that only count for Yamatai?
A. Neplesia has aether in one ship, and that's from the NDI, but whether or not they have it or not is not what I'm talking about.
B. We can? I would've loved to have that information, but as the teleportation system's info was never posted anywhere, and was described only to the point of "Fuck physics, I want to go over there," it was rather unavailable to me.

Personally, I think it's okay except for the overlapping aether taps (shouldn't multiply the energy like Zack says).
I agree that Zack sometimes over-powers his stuff, however you allowed this to be approved earlier, so I don't think complaining about it now is fair. However, I'm sure you could just ask him to remove the taps or maybe water them down a bit instead of undermining several approved submissions.
