Asking around, the consensus seems to be that they look nice, but aren't Nepleslian. If anything, they're too USMC, and don't express what Nepleslia is. @Kampfer - what do you think the Navy's logo would look like? A knife stabbed down into Kennewes?

I can't find it on the wiki, but even if @Demonblooded made it up on the spot, he's got a point.

The red shield patch used by the first fleet has been part of the Nepleslian uniform since Nepleslia was created. I just added a number to it. I can add a knife going to a planet to it but I think the basic red shield shouldn't be changed. Also Kennewes isn't a red planet, so I'd use the red as the background and the planet could be green or blue (teal?). If you mean the Navy insignia, Kampfer already approved it as canon and I've already done several artworks with it (at least 6), not to mention the money and time I spent on it. Sigma even has it in his avatar. So I'm completely against against changing it now.
 
My bad, I mixed up what I was talking about. The Navy's insignia is already approved, but the 1st Fleet's isn't, and that's the one with Kennewes. Adding the planet in and replacing the 1 with a knife would do it I think. As for the color of the planet itself, I'm not sure what would complement red the best in this case.
 
The contrasting colour to red is green, its complementary colour is blue. Try one of the two or a combination of the two.
 
I have a Nepleslian question: Who's currently leading the country? What are the names and titles of Nepleslia's current leaders?
 
That's actually a good question. I don't know if a change of hands has happened or not. Though I'm curious myself now, why do you ask?
 
Okay, so Sky Marshall Coast, e.g. the military, is running Nepleslia. Here's why I'm asking. Nepleslia hasn't had a civilian government since YE 32. Nepleslia has spent more time under military dictatorship (4-5 years since the senate attack in YE 32) than under democratically elected government (2-3 years, since the government reformation in YE 30). The 2nd Mishhu War has been over for 3 years. So what's the Nepleslian military's excuse for not relinquishing power? I mean, it almost looks like a military coup took place. Currently the so-called "Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia" is really just the Military Empire of Nepleslia (ha, MEN!).

So my next question is: Is there a plan to fix this, and when will that happen?

Fix what? Seems to be working just fine so far.

In all honesty, I'm glad Nepleslia's military is running things. It's how I imagined Nepleslia to be. It's flawed, but in the same way Nepleslia itself is flawed; an unhealthy but compellingly unifying focus on aggression, expansion, and remaining vigilant to their culture.

Ultimately, it's up to how Kampfer wants to bring the direction of Nepleslia, however.
 
Nepleslian may be functional in the sense that the country is able to handle its business, but it's not following its own constitution.
 
There are plans in place, however there are more pressing issues at hand.

We are working on it, and that business is ours alone to attend to.
