I got half a post written before sleep hit last night, and I'll try to have the rest up and posted this afternoon.
 
Ok so im going to make a mechgineer. after a VERY LONG TIME, like 10 YEARS IN REAL LIFE, i want him to design this uber powerful ship (thanks to HUGE speed and armor capabilities, not to mention what happens when it gets destroyed). any advice?

edit: put more enphasis on after a WHILE.
 
You will be waiting until you show that you can play within the technology levels and rules of this setting. Why not buy a retired military ship? I'm sure there are some on the market since they are discontinued...you would have to roleplay the purchase with the appropriate GM, though, and your character would have to have the funds to make the purchase.

And, btw, this is one of a couple plots I am a player in and keep track of; it's my favorite ^_^ This is my character on Cirrus: Tweak Three-Seven. Please note that she is a special exception due to my experience with the site. I had been a member over two years before I was allowed to make her. In addition, she was created using already-existing elements of the site: The NH-7 neko was created by the Head Administrator, and Tweak's status as a Freespacer was granted by the creator of the Free State.

Okay, actually, that is a really cool idea, and would fit in tone with the early episodes of Cirrus. Unexpected and somewhat plausible. Can anyone think of a reason why Cassefin would be cloning polar bears, though?

Maybe she didn't think the staff could fix the cooling problem and wanted to create a new, specialised crew to run the super-cooled section? Make them sentient polar bears and we may have a winner : )

Talking down a grumpy, hungry polar bear that has a highly-developed sense of morals...good times.
 
Why WOULDN'T Cassefin want to clone polar bears?

I'm just waiting on a reply from Missing now; a post from Serra with an answer would be nice but I think we need to move on and Missing's post will put us into the position we need.

I've done it! I've finally gotten past, "Blake fell into the chasm with a merry tune on his lips, still holding tight the box he'd been lugging before." once and for all!
 
I'm sorry for my lagging, been going through a bit of writer's block lately -_- I started a post, though, and I think I'll be able to finish it sometime tomorrow.

Getting that written took a bit longer than expected. I kept getting hung-up on a single sentence...and it wasn't even that important, looking at the post now. It's still there, though, so I guess it meant something.
