In the first XF, they're standard issue for ships.

Um... Zeph? If you have a moment to post in the OOC thread, it would probably be better to post in the plot thread instead, even if it's just a short post -_-;...

Alhaz, this specific wreck is from the war YE 25-30, not from Uesu's path of annihilation. Please edit your post accordingly.

Last one was, but this time we are in a different location away from his path. If you check the map, the Rojbushra cloud is right in his path, while the Flarg cloud is about 1-2 LY away from it.
^_^

I hope Kumiko was really careful when she did that scan; using the unsupported 'boost' function on the prototype kicks the scalar wave generator up to weaponizable levels, which carries with it the potential for damaging or disabling computer systems, such as the one that's currently functioning just well enough to maintain life support in the area the survivor is holed up in ^_^;...

I'd just like to note that it still seems a bit silly to me that a 'rescue' ship would not have any means to safely and non-destructively open blast doors on vessels of their own military that they are rescuing people from -_-;...

We would, if the WEIS would come on. but without that, the ship has no FOF, so it can't operate on its own. Nothing can change since the WEIS went offline.

Yeah, folks on the Moirai have a different model cutting torch as part of their standard gear, i think, but i wouldn't define a cutting torch as 'non-destructive;' the 'safe' part is debatable. Having to actually cut through doors, rather than simply opening them using emergency power and a computer bypass or even a simple manual bypass, would increase casualy rates by A) increasing the time it takes to get to the wounded, B) potentially exposing them to dangerous temperatures, and C) potentially exposing them to vacuum.

The forward docking port was supposed to have mechanisms for cutting holes in hulls it had attached to to allow for entry, but I don't think I actually ended up writing the description for it...

1) I thought Greg was supposed to respond to you.

2) I don't know what kind of detonator that would be used, so I can't NPC him. If I tried to do so without knowing, it would seem very contrived indeed.

3) Real Life has been bogging me down and I haven't been able to devote my full attention to you guys, I apologize. T_T

Silver lining tho: I now have a job after about 6 months of searching! =.=

RP is about RPing, not waiting. If someone's taking way too long to post, try and work around it. If needed, the GM can post for the missing person.

Typically you would use a fire based ignition for thermite considering that it is a standard combustible. One would usually just stick a fuse in it, but often one uses a blasting cap to ignite it for pyrotechnics. In this case you should just say that it's the "Red" fuse type for fire and be done with it. ^_^ I've actually got some demo training and know about this stuff. ^_^ With thermite its fire, C4 uses electricity, etc....

PS: Congrats on the job man. I do a job and school and still manage to post on a semi regular basis (excepting on finals) so i dont see how a full time job should stop you from doing so as well 'tho.

No it isn't. It's just a mixture of two metals. It takes a very high temperature, which is why you'll need phosphorous or something that burns hot to start the thermite reaction.

On the other hand, professional demo stuff is typically going to have lots of additives to make it work better and more easily.

I deeply apologize for any waiting done. Everything should be fine from here till the end of the mission.

OK. People, I need to know your availability for JPs! We need to end this thing!
