Operation: Ice Breaker

Kryss stepped into the bridge with a hiss announcing her entry as the metal door slid away and was greeted with the scene of Adria getting angrier while Jack stood trying to control his daughter and an army, neither proving to be an easy task. "Understandable, I won't keep you for long. And hello Adria it's been a little while since I saw you, hope you're doing well." Her tone wasn't blunt but it felt slightly colder even with the sincerity behind the words.

"As for what I wanted to show you Director." she pulled up a series of displays on her datapad and tapped through a couple of them showing the different readouts, "As you can see, during the launch of the two pod teams, Dawn had already begun to attempt to perform trajectory correction and its predictions matched the action the pilots took 80% of the time, and we also ran into some other interesting developments we can fill you in on later but the main concern I came to inform you of was, that so far Dawn has predicted you're battle plan with a success rate averaging 72%."

Kryss stowed the pad and took a look around the bridge, had more feel to it than the room she was working out of but she wasn't the type to complain instead she faced Adria and crouched down to even out their height difference, "I heard that you want to join them on the surface, I can understand wanting to help especially since it's your brother. But your dad has a good point, what if you got captured in stead or hurt, what if Amit blamed himself if you were injured?"

Kryss stood back up and moved to leave the bridge, speaking over her shoulder as she went "And Adria, if you'd like too, I don't mind you coming and working with us if you want something to do while Jack is away, we've got some snacks and a few other cool things which we haven't opened yet due to being busy."

Jace held tight when the impact to the water came the seat harness holding him in place "i thought we were suppose to hit water Vier not ice hows the pod i thought i herd something brake" he looked around to see if there was any leaks in the hull

Underwater

The U-1 group would release their breaching pods and spread out ahead of them to help block, each launching a small swarm of mini missiles that slowly pushed forward under the water.

"The breaching pod will still bring you to the target area," Vier explained, "Though you should have your suit ready in case you need to rapidly leave the pressurized interior."

The people in the pods would certainly feel them slow as they started moving under their own power, a deep rumbling happening ahead of them as the mini-missiles started intercepting Psychopomp's makeshift subs.

Fleet
Jack had nodded a thank you to Kyrss before she left, but turning back to Adria, "I need to go, you should accept Kryss's offer." He said before leaving the bridge as well.

["Commander enemy vessels detected on intercept course for us.....it's NMX?!"]

[Move the fleet to red alert, and take them to a safer position.] Jack sent back as he climbed into his S6-XM1 and taking off. He transferred to one of the frigates, it speeding towards the surface as the rest of the fleet began to change course. They would head to the opposite side of the planet and use it as a barrier to keep the NMX away for the time being.

Spora- surface
There would be casualties on both sides. The repurposed subs would take heavy losses from the pre-emptive strike, but one of the subs would score a hit taking another pod. While the forces above would witness several pods go down at once, forcing the group to fly low as missiles and guns returned fire, calculating enemy positions approximately, through scanning trajectories of enemy projectiles and triangulation. Causing some of the infiltration teams to lose men.

Neera didn't show it, but she was scared, her eyes closed behind the visor, and her hands gripping the arm rests.

"ETA 5 mikes to drop."
----------------------
Mark maneuvered dodging fire and shooting down missiles like the autonomous AI XM1s in his team. Their heavy coil guns trying to intercept incoming missiles with mixed success as mini missiles sought out those firing them.

[!PROXIMITY ALERT!]. |×| ---- unknown target!

EVADE! EVADE! EVADE!

Mark sharply jinked to the left as a mech appeared from seemingly no where out of the snow the crimson a flash as it passed by narrowly. A black reaper mech with the marker that had accompanied the alert over its head now hovered before Mark and Chlorate. He jinked again as it took another swing at him with it's plasma scythe.

Firing his gunpod at the Target it vanished again in a burst of particles.

"ECS?! Damn you! Get ready Chlo, we're in for a fight, let's show him who's better.", Mark said furious with the appearance of his sister's killer, Lazarus.

Spora Surface
With the above ground wave nearing the AA guns would become more precise and focus on similar targets crossing their fire. Despite losses the infiltration teams would continue until the pods got within 4 mikes of the base at which point they would disappear just as they had arrived. Due to the bombardment stopping the damage teams were finally able to repair the EM cannon which would immediately begin charging up before firing into the wave.
From within the bowels of the facility prototype heavy PA would march out. The suits would anchor themselves into the ice and artillery shells would fire from shoulder mounted Electromagnetic cannons on the suits into the wave. The suits were assisted by AIs to ensure that each shot hit it's mark.
Underwater
With the subs destroyed the way to the base would be left unbarred to the incoming wave.
Space
Close behind the NMX fleet would be a shuttle carrying the black ops team from a successful defense of one of Psychopomp's other facilities to help defend the Spora outpost.

Reinforcement shuttle

Bloodsoaked, reeking of sweat and oil. It caused the elven commander to grin under her neck warmer. Weiss glanced at the display popping to a deep red, reading 'ETA: 5 minutes'. The timer notification served as a final motivation for hertm to disengage her safety harness and stand up, grabbing one of the handlebars and moving to the ramp, they'd be dropping behind enemy lines. And were tasked with harming them as much as possible to slow down the encroaching assault. It'd be a day, nay, days filled with battle. She was quivering in anticipation. "Listen up," her cold and authorative voice easily deafened the shaking of the shuttle and the bullets razing past. "I know you all are exhausted, even with the stims I had you all administered. And this won't be any easier. Our shuttle is tracked and they will know where we dropped. Simple countermeasure, we hit the ground running." She glanced at the other agents, namely their eyes. And the general sight pleased her. There were the scared ones. The brave ones that would die first.

And then, the ones where she saw that glint she loved. The predators. The ones ready to kill at a moments notice. "We strike and move. Our directive is to soften the enemy up by any means. Sabotaging their supplies, assassinating officers. The usual." She slammed her fist against the button to open the ramp, before pulling her silenced IAW close, chambering a round. "Go, go, go," she shouted from the top of her lungs, the soldiers dislodging from their seats and leaping from the shuttle at full speed. She followed suit after the last one was out, diving towards the surface.

Underwater

The U1's would be the first to reach the exterior of the base, a small group breaking off to start feeling around the exterior, checking for traps while the other launched more mini missiles, leaving them in wait around the facility in case of attack.

"Ten seconds,"

Vier called out, the breaching pods had almost arrived. She would check her own weapon again and position her floating shield closer to the front door of the breaching pod.

It wouldn't be long now.

The first of the pods would thunk against the surface of the underwater facility, the support rods around the edges of each pod stabbing forward and piercing through the skin to anchor the pods in place.

"Remember, our objective is to recover Amit. Other concerns are secondary."

With that, the explosives placed in the front of the pods would go off, blowing square holes in the facility so that the boarding pods could extend their ramps.

Jack's frigate made the trip to the ice hole short, the ship slowly entering water with the new modifications made to the frigates.

"Wave one, fall back and reroute to rally point Beta. All ships stay safe.", Jack would order over comms.

Looking over the situation he sent a message to be relayed from the fleet.

[To any USO forces, S6 in need of reinforcements. NMX fleet has entered system. Please respond.]

Wave one receiving their orders made a U turn advanced AI calculating and executing maneuvers. The EM cannon shot down a swath of escorts and a few pods, sending them tumbling. They sped back after letting loose their entire missile payload on the enemy that was now behind them. Missiles streaking this way and that, the volley looming towards their Frontline. They would book it into the ice hole into the waters below.

Mark jinked and fired as his enemy vanished and reappeared constantly, sometimes popping of rounds. Mini missiles detonated scattered as targeting systems became confused by the enemies tricks.

Hearing the call, mark would disengage cursing. His destination now the lower base.

With a thud, a crackle, Weiss came down and ppushed herself to her feet immediately after landing. A small flicker appeared on her shoulder, a sort of hologram formed and spoke. "Weiss," she glanced at the figure, waving her other hand for her troops to regroup and gather around. "Speak, Elizabeth," she stated, holding her hand infront of the shoulder for the hologram to step upon, before holding her in the middle of the group. "As you've seen, the enemy has retreated. There is nothing left for us to do here. No vital signs in the immediate surroundings, no electronics but this taskforce." A soft sigh and the hologram dissipated again. "Take a breather, set defensive perimeter." She tapped the side of her helmet, patching into the secured channel with the Psychopomp base. "Shadow one to ground base. What the hell is going on? Requesting transport to the facility." She rolled her eyes as a rather uncertain voice chimed in.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" She grit her teeth. "Special operator Carolina Saksen-coburg, codenamed Weiss. In charge of Shadow one and called on to assist in defense of the facility. Who are you, private? Get me a transport ready, or I'll find out myself." She hissed between her teeth. After she heard an 'understood ma'am', she just terminated the channel. Her coordinates were attached to the call, after all.

Jay donned his helmet, then fired off a message to Jack.

[Package confirmed released and en route to target area. Expect ready in twenty.]

He now spoke into his comm.

"Sierra Alpha, this is Lieutenant Nagato. Deploy package to zone Charlie and minimize detection by whatever means necessary. Secondary priority is to ready within twenty or less."

Turning to Neera, he wondered out loud.

"Do you think these people believe in a higher power?"

A shuttle would come to pickup the black ops team. "Hop in I'll get you where you're needed. The boss already knows your here."
The PAs would deanchor and head back into the base taking a lift down to the breached floor to assist with keeping the intruders in the section they breached while the area was evacuated. Ace would overlook a real time 3D map of the battle. "Get some sapper teams down to those pods I want them detached ASAP." A group of sappers in scuba suits would dive into the hole in the ice armed with breaching charges to detach the pods.
Many more teams would head into the base as no major threat was still topside leaving only enough to defend against one more wave.

Queen's Slave, Leaving the orbit of Vice

"Well, Yeah, but how bad could it be?" Uso asked, after receiving Jack's message. Between S6, Ragnarok, the Skyguard, and Vier herself anyone remotely related to USO was already busy somewhere doing something related to making PsychoPomp's day worse.

Another one of Vier's bodies would just bring up the tactical display of the situation in question, the growing number of NMX starships appearing in system spoke for itself.

"... Yeah, ok, we'll see who's avalible... GET ME MY PHONEBOOK!" Uso said, stomping off towards her room so she could place some calls.

Space

The Giga-mishhu would continue to approach the S6 group, as an additional battle group of 20 Megamishhu warped in behind it, with additional smaller ships trickling into the system in support. As the rest of its fleet started to catch up with it, the Giga-mishhu would start deploying a squadron of bright red battlepods...

Followed by another new type, bulbous, seemingly unarmed battlepods than swarmed out by the thousands, the entire group heading right towards the S6 fleet.

Underwater

While the breaching teams started their work inside of the facility, the U-1s outside remained on guard. Vier would divy up the workload, assigning scuba suited divers as targets to the optimal number of U-1s, each one assigned a target would release two mini-missiles, looking to scare the divers back out of the water.

The divers would be undeterred by the warning shots spreading out as far as possible to avoid being taken out all at once. They would continue to make their approach on the pods. As they swam closer one of the divers would broadcast across open channels. "We are from 188604. We are your neighbors, family, and friends. This organization gave us the ability to fight back against the Tyrant aliens who took our home. If we win this war they have promised to let us return to our normal lives. Please my comrades point your weapons at the true enemy. The ones you have submitted too mearly use you as pawns to advance their own sick agendas. Join us and we will take back our home together."
Spora Surface
The infiltration teams would set breaching charges on the crashed pods. They were hoping to take any survivors prisoner. They would stand ready in classic breaching formations to sweep the pods. They would kill those they couldn't subdue and take the rest back to base. "Ready! Breach!" And the charges would go off.

The Shiva would be dropped 5 klicks away out of range and sight of the base's defenses. Three squads of Revenant equipped personnel would raise deployable fortifications, barriers and tent like guard post with armor. Shield generators would be setup at each leg of the massive gun's platform erecting a barrier to protect it and lessen the blizzards effects on this artillery emplacement. With the base's location marked by the last wave before they headed underground, the gun adjusted it's aimed arc and fired a high velocity shell before loading another. It's pattern of continuous fire, reload, and repeat would go on for a long while.

Space
30 minutes later-----
The S6 fleet continuously kept the NMX fleet at distance, always staying at the opposite side of the planet, using it as a natural barrier. Their small units could catch up, but had little hope against a fleet worth of point defense and anti-ship batteries and turrets. The larger ships of the NMX fleet would have to wait for their prey to come to them.

Space
The satelitte would remain at distance from the S6 fleet taking different orbits around the planet to get a full view of it. It would snap a picture of the SHIVA being setup and infiltration teams would be dispatched to deal with it. The base itself would take the first SHIVA round the shield flickering for a second as it was briefly overloaded. Afterwards the ADS would start hitting the shells with increasing accuracy with each successive shot.

In the orbit of Spora

The Psychopomp satellite and the Section 6 fleet, as well as some sensors on the ground, suddenly picked up the signature single ship entering the system at FTL speeds. Its signature made it out to be a single small ship, less than 200 meters long.

The ISS Araxie came out of FTL above the conflict, and its hanger opened up as Alex spoke to his crew in a somewhat monotone voice that brooked no dissent. "Keep far away from the battle. You'll get in the way."

With those few words, he launched out of the hangar, laden with weaponry.

On the each wingtip of the craft was mounted an EMP weapon, suitable for dealing with missiles as well as poking holes in shields. Each forearm had a rifle style gunpod mounted to it.

What was more uncommon was the fact that the customized U-1 was making full use of all of its hardpoints. Each leg held a weapon that appeared to be an anti ship cannon, though in the fighter configuration, it didn't look like they would be much use.

The hardpoints on either side of its chestplate (which in fighter mode formed part of the fuselage) and the hardpoints on each shoulder were taken up by ammunition packs, while those on the upper arms were loaded with racks of ammuntion packs.

Finally each hardpoint on the wings, eight in total, was loaded with a submunition dispenser.

Alex was clearly coming ready for a full scale war.

A channel was opened up to Jack and Mark from the Hammer,

"Sirs, Reinforcements have arrived. It is Alex... and he has uh..." The woman certainly sounded unsure, "Brought one fighter, and one ship."

If the Gigamishhu noticed Alex, it didn't show it. Even the additional Megamishhu arriving from outside of the system didn't seem distracted by Alex's arrival, the enemy fleet only bothering to spare a pair of the much smaller Kilomishhu along with a few battlepods to deal with the Araxie as it continued to approach the S6 fleet.

SKSC Itano

"I'm not saying you owe us one, just that we could kill you all and that would be very bad for you... so we should be friends on this one..."

Keller was doing her best to try and forget Uso's words. It certainly stung, having to rely on the FSC to rebuild their world, and deft political maneuvering to try and secure weapons, ships, and security... but Alex had helped ward off the NMX's attack on her home world.

She did owe him one.

And Uso herself was a nut-job. There was no telling if she'd make good on her thiny-veiled threats. The smart move was to just not be the first people on her list if it did come down to it.

"Ma'am, 6 seconds till FTL Exit."

Keller nodded,

"Default launch procedures and engagement profile until otherwise noted. Lets keep the ship in one piece this time."

---

Space, Again

As the Kilomishu got within range of Alex, the Itano would exit FTL just behind him, launching a cloud of defensive missiles along with its own squadron of Indigo U-1s.

This was followed shortly by a group of 5 C-5 combat Drones with Vier's QR codes emblazoned on the side.

Both sides still had use of their long range subspace Radar. More ships were coming too...

... a lot more.
