Osaka's doodling

Whacked all three Gespants ontop, blurred that shit out and tried to improv what I thought I could see. The result is weirdly hilarious looking. I can't stop laughing at how awful it is. I went full Rob Liefield lol

In my head, the biceps of the arms are just compressed stretchy hoses like those toys to swing around that are like the bendy bit of a straw because arms that go zooming off are super goddamn cool if fucking stupid as hell

And the leg folds down flat, so the entire leg shifts back so it can go full blown Gunhed like a tank or something with the lefs flush though they'd have to be bigger to make it work or the backpack would become legs or something I don't fucking know why am I thinking about this

It's supposed to be a Frame - midway between Mecha and Power Armor. Think Landmate and you've got the right size in mind.

I have kind of noticed that this seems to have become the default term for mecha in sarp though, hasn't it? I know the Iromakuanhe use it for the Vandr, and I think Origin uses the name for it's M series. The Render and Ravager, plus the Bringer of thunder and Whirlwind don't but as far as I can tell they're also fairly old designs.

Kai and Five, through Origin, and the Lorath people pioneered using "frame" as our catch-all for mecha.

what is that?
by the way, is the winter 2 supposed to be a mecha or an infinite stratos.
No, it totally seals the user in. The arms are actually inside pockets which become the biceps of a smaller set of personal-scale strengthened utility arms and the shoulders then support large intermediate trusses with engines for hovering and stability maneuvering. Ontop of those intermediaries are the main platform grade arms, each supporting two hands and a number of hardpoints. this makes four arms total at different sizes and about six arms.

The design is made so it can hold four rifles with two forward and two reserved in recharge folded switchblade flush against the arm and when they recharge, it unlocks and they rotate and switch positions. It also allows the frame to carry a bigger multitude of different loadouts and one of the pairs of hands on the main arms can be wire-launched on an extended fore-arm to act as a remote weapon.

The pilot's head is inside the neck and head. The pilot's legs, inside the hips. The arms and legs of the Winter II do NOT contain the limbs of the pilot at all.
