Mel turned on Lyshana and Agrael with a "Shhh." gesture and pointed to the sleeping...happily flapping baby. "and I learned how to do it a long time ago." the blonde elysian blushed pink and smiled a bit.

The floaty squid things seemed to 'enjoy' being touched in certain locations, and some of them blinked patterns of light. The Purple colored ones seemed to be the most responsive.

"Heyyy... you're the mother, right Agreal? May I try a few... enhancements on your children?"

Agrael smiled at Mel's embarrassment, but that smile faded into a frown when Lyshana's question reached her ears. "Um..." the Elysian pretended to think about that for half of a second before answering, "No." She had that "Oh, HELL NO" look on her face and body at that exact moment.

"Bah. No one wants me testing possibly life ehancing or lifesaving tricks." she saied "Ah well.... can I test things on either of you?" she asked. She seemed to either not realize how... unacceptable she's being, or, possibly, she had a sense of humor from hell. Given her behavior most of the time, it was likely hard to tell...

Mel approached Lyshana with a tolerant expression on her face. "Lyshana. While you're free to have those kinds of thoughts, it's extremely rude and inappropriate to ask other people that, especially if you ask about their children." She said. "Think of it like this: how would you feel if someone wanted to do it to you or someone you loved and cared about?" she saked her in a gentle voice and smiled.

"I"m fairly sure that the commodore wouldn't want you to do it either. And if you were to even come near Agrael's children with those intentions, Yggdrasil herself would stop you thanks to her keen interest in them." the busty patrician pointed out. "Why don't you simply run simulations on your theories and such to see how they'd work without harming someone else that might cause unexpected side effects?" She asked.

"bah" Lyshana says with a dour look "I care about no one, and I've run a few experiments on myself." Once again it was hard to tell how much she was kidding. Given her... short build, and large wings it was entirely possible, On the other hand, she hardly seemed in possition of any super-elysian abilities other then flight, so it was more then possible she was lying. Still she seems willing to let the matter settle, given how quietly she muttered that. Suddenly and more cheerfuly she grins "Oh! I want advice on what to build for my next project.... any requests?"

Mel shook her head and peered at Lyshana with soul-piercing eyes to see if she could see if she was lying. She would wager that the short girl wouldn't do anything like to herself, for all her boisterousness, she seemed pretty fragile and easy to hurt. "Sweetie, why don't you try and do something that would benefit everyone and not just be a pet project of yours for you entertainment to just throw away when you lose interest." she suggested. "And you don't have to rush, just take your time and think about everything and the variables." she said.

Suzune nodded, smiling a bit at the fact that knowledge most of her people would find odd was actually helpful to this Azorean girl.

"Well, it's interesting! And I think Tsura is onboard, but... she might've gone off somewhere, or something. But yeah, there's a lot to be learned from the... ah, weirder cultures of the galaxy! I myself remember a lot of good ideas from them - junkers, the... er, failover whatever, all sortsa stuff. Maybe we can go over it a bit during some kind of design session maybe?"

Noelani nodded quickly and good-naturedly in reply. "I think we can make some beautiful music together on this ship, Suzune! You're a real cool honey. Let's have a jam session sometime once I'm settled in, alright? And maybe you can learn something fun from another funky culture in the process, mmhmm?" She grinned and reached over to pat the Yamtaian on the back a few times with a surprising strength in her slender blue arms.

Lyshana frowned "I am an adult you know" she said, immaturely. She shook her wings, creating a bit of a breeze, probably loosening them up, and relaxed a bit "Any medical things come up? I can take some work off your shoulders with that, you know" she tells Mel "And you can sing some more. Oh, by the way, Agreal's agreed to assist me with my... bedside manner, so you don't have to worry about my giving patients hypertension problems anymore." she said "You do still want to relax people, right?" she asked Agreal

Suzune smiled, seeming to have made a friend today! That was good. Even if her slang was a bit... hard to understand. Ah well. But even so, she'd have to get settled in, herself. Turning to Toshiro, Suzune asked a question, admittedly a bit unsure if she had asked it before.

"Captain, I was wondering if I could get assigned to restoring one of the ships you pick up from this debris field? All of this touring around the ship has been giving me ideas on things to do to help with the salvage operation..."

Yggdrasill finally answered Noelani...

"...Sorry, I was trying to convert these new emotions into words...I THINK what I'm feeling is...while I felt a bit violated, you meant no harm and knew no better? Had you come aboard with malicious intent though...I might have captured you with a Grappler in the cargo bay for interrogation."

Toshiro turned to Suzune. "Well, if we fi..." He got a telepathic message from the Yggdrasill.

"...It seems I'm needed on the bridge. We've found something ELSE."

He headed for the bridge, and sat down, reading both Dasanteki's report, and that of Yggdrasill. The Yggdrasill was making it's final two salvage runs, when it found a Geshrinari Light Freighter...it almost seemed that whatever this Suzune person wished for came true. Of course, that was assuming it wasn't divvied up to another person.

Noelani laughed a bit nervously again, as she heard the ship speak for the first time. "No need for a grappler hug, now. I'd have come aboard the normal way if I could have... but if the Parliament found out they'd put me in some majorly hot water! Civilians on Sudran aren't allowed to go into space yet, sadly. But I'm aiming to try to change that..." Then came that watery smile and go-getter attitude that bubbled up again as she expressed herself to Yggdrasil. "Azorea needs daring pioneers like me, not some stuffy navy, if it's going to really get out there into the star ocean that is our birthright."

It seemed in the middle of her speech the captain suddenly had to bug out for the bridge, but the look on his face was telling enough. Turning her attentions back to the engineer, she spoke again in a musical voice. "This salvage gig is like one big slot machine, isn't it?" Noelani then began to make a motion to leave herself, tail swishing a bit as she did so. "Why don't you go see what cool stuff you can play with, Suzune? I'm going to go meet Agrael's little tykes and doctor Mel, first."

After recieving the list of incoming salvage, he saw they had found a GLF, virtually spaceworthy. Thinking about getting to play with the new ship and repairing it, he grinned to himself. Docking the Leviathan with the Yggdrasill, Dasanteki began the transfer of the last salvage runs to the Leviathan.

"Noelani, the reason there is heavy restriction on space and technology access is because Father advised your government to impose them. Your people must be exposed gradually to space so as not to destroy your society, as well as protect from external threats.

There are many who wish to add your planet to their own governments, those who own corporations and want to sell you low end ships for inflated prices, and many other dangers for your people in space. There are many positive things too, but these things must be done with care.

You might have already had a banner imposed upon your planet, had Father not gotten the interstellar laws changed to shield you and other newly discovered races. I do not know how Father truly feels about your sneaking aboard, but he knows you were likely unaware of the risks...and that since you're here now, turning you away is not an option.

Already blood has been shed by your people to claim access to space. Judges have been killed by Judges. Raytim was almost killed as well. This is a great yet dangerous point in your peoples' history, a time when some are willing to raise arms against their own kind, to reach for technology for which they are unprepared."

A message came through from Toshiro, on the bridge.

"We have found an adrift Geshrinari Light Frieghter. It seems largely intact. I need some volunteers to don Power Armors and search for survivors. Be careful, however...adrift ships are sometimes used as bait by Pirates."

The Azorean stopped before she left the room as she heard the computer chiding her recklessness. She took on a much more youthful look reminiscent of a scolded child, as a purple-brown flushed into her cheeks. "I know people have kicked the bucket and politicians knifed each other in the back. And if I had listened to those boring people like master Raraviss going on about all this danger and the unknown, I'd have never struck out and become a windsurfing pro champ either! This is time when the citystates need their cult heroes more than ever to give them hope and inspiration, and I'm here to rise to that occasion."

Her musical voice suddenly turned in a cacophony of forceful tones, as her inner passions were awoken. "I was given my name by the Goddess Nimiss for a reason, too... I'm meant to fly, I know it! Only when I'm up there in the storm clouds, risking my life for the rush it brings, do I really feel alive! I've gilded through the air on a craft made from my own sweat and tears... and I'm gonna go to the next level now no matter what! The cieling's already been broken for me by your Father, Yggdrasil, and there ain't no turning back for us..."

Lyshana suits up in her biological contaiment suit, and begins to help sort the biological remains. She seems especialy interested in the organic computer remains.

Suzune stood quietly, watching Noelani argue with... with... Something. The computer? Yggdrasil herself? She was stunned nonetheless, watching the drama unfold! But such passion... what was she being told? Suzune didn't have the time to worry too long about what was going on, for just then the captain's voice came in over the speakers.

Though Noelani was just in the door, Suzune felt that she had to do something to prove her worth! And so, the young Yamataian pushed her way through, muttering a soft "Sorry!" as she pushed her way forwards, towards the bridge. As she arrived, she moved to approach the captain, looking around, then focusing her eyes on him. She seemed... green, was the best way to put it. She had that look of someone who knew nothing of danger, but still had some strange urge to do something anyway.

"C-Captain, can I... go out? I have a lot of EVA experience, and I could work with the ship systems... Do you have ex-military types to do the fighting though?..."

Aendri, who had been lurking around, not saying much, spoke up then. "Yes, he does employ people like myself to handle such things, though I am not a combat specialist. There's no need to worry about combat if it bothers you."

Toshiro gave a minute of thought to this.

"The one person I know for certain has military combat experience has left temporarily for other endeavors...I know Mel has a Power Armor of her own and attained Officer Standing, though. But...is she the type who could pull a trigger, or would want to in this situation?

As for Power Armors, we have Ironmen, Demons, a Super Demon, a Kylie, and a few ELEMENTAL-type Power Armor. If we ran into trouble, we could always call those two Yamataian ships watching us for assistance."
