RP: NSS Acadia [Post Mission 3]: R&R (Rest and Rations)

Anselm grumbled as his armor returned control to him, somehow the rookie had managed to avoid being banged up like he was, which severely grated on the newly promoted Private's nerves. Dragging Chad's weapon from his arm, the marine tested it's teleoperation functions, finding it moved fine despite the excessive damage to the plating. Grabbing his VCK off the floor, Anselm sunk the tip into the decking and stood up, jovially nudging the newbie's shoulder with a light punch.

"Awright, boot, so you can skewer a duck, let's see you land a punch" his arrogant grin was almost tangible the way his monoeye system glinted in the harsh overhead lights.

The Chief was about to scream something at Chad regarding him suggesting that Anselm was hurt in a training exercise, but Sergeant Endurain had done it for him in a competent manner. "Looks like you'll be pretty useful around here, Sergeant."

The Chief then turned to Chad, and had begun thinking about dragging his knife from the floor when Anselm issued his challenge to Chad. Pulling his knife from the floor and putting it away, the Chief simply said, "You and Anelm need the training in hand to hand combat more than I fuckin' do. And it sounds like he wants some revenge for you skewering him earlier."

It was only now that the Chief realized that they were stabbing knives into a ship deck. He would probably be grilled for pulling a stunt like that, as would his CO.

"Shit. Endurain, watch over these guys for me and make sure no one uses any fuckin' weapons at all. I need to inform the Master Chief that I've encouraged Marines to damage the deck of an expensive warship before some higher-up does."

Oh boy Chad thought, this is not going to be cool. He turned around to the newly named "Anselm" marine that he had taken out earlier. This guy must have some serious Cybenetics to take something like that. Chad went into a defensive stance and mentally prepared himself for the hurt. "Ready when you are man" Chad said giving him the goforth. Chad looked into the Monoeye of the opposing Aggressor and almost saw a confident grin behind it. This was not going to be good for Chad.

Anselm stepped into the reverse cat-footed stance Chief Ran had ordered of everyone deftly, throwing a quick left jab at Chad's right side as the marine's front foot planted firmly on the deck, the teleoperated limb a little sluggish having to move with a damaged cybernetic inside. Oh boy, oh boy, looks like I got a punching bag after all, the albino thought cheerily, keeping his right guard up and watching his partner's body language.

Sluggish, that was good to see from an opponent. And that was what the first blow was, sluggish. He could deflect this easily. He shifted his body and put his sheild in front of where the jab would land. As he moved, he started to continue the movement, extending his arm in attempt to connect with the Aggressor.

Anselm ducked Chad's awkward punch, bringing his damaged arm back into guard much quicker than it had reached out to strike. Not too bad, at least the contractors are still working normally.

His next jab was a much faster right, without the damage or the extra mass of a forearm shield weighing it down, and struck out for the AIR2's belly as the marine straightened out of his crouch-and-dodge.

Hoo'YEAH!

Oh Shit! Chad thought as Anselm's jab went under his high guard and into his lower torso. The blow hit square in the abdomanal area and forced Chad to take a step back to regain his balance. Once chad had regained himself, he lowered his shield and went into a defensive stance.

Chad planned to use his shield as a weapon in absence of one, but he really wished he could use his PPS. He would knock the aggressor on his ass if he could do that little trick. Time to use some pure force against this guy.

Chad gave his thrusters a little juice and was going to try to force the Aggressor back against his shield.

Alex assumed similiar stance as Hayden. "Okay, we will start with some practice and exchange few blows, then we will go at it." She said to her sparring partner. She calmed down a little. And at least P3C knew his chain of command. Even when Alex was only one rank above him.

She started with few practice blows. One of them were alway at defense and other on offense. After few minutes of that she raised her hand. "Okay that's it." she said and assumed combat stance. "Now it's going to be real. Try to know me down, and don't hold back as long as your PA is in training mode it will be no problem. And remember it is a fist fight! Okay GO!" She finished her talk and got ready for his attack.

As Alex yelled at Jack to attack...he did...but he had never been told that he would only be allowed simple punches as as an attack. If it were any other Marine that Alex had been facing, they might have gone with a simple punch or hook like any other person fresh out of boot camp. Instead Jack attempted to flinch her out. He moved with his left leg, a move subtle enough that only a trained combatant would easily recognize and start to react to...but then he suddenly sent his right arm for her stomach.

New guy caught Alex a little un prepared. She was expecting a regular fist fight after all. That was a mistake. Thanks to her reflexes she managed to bend and didn't caught a full blow, but Haydens punch still hit her guts. Thankfully all that was hit was her pride thanks to her PA.

But she was not prepared to let it be. Thera were will aces up her sleeve. She leaned a little forward which was expected after being hit. One of Haydens arms was low as it hit her belly just a moment ago. Alex mover her left hand above it to bloc it and used her right had to punch area near his breastbone.

Jack would have paused for a few moments to celebrate if he hadn't been so focused on proving that he wasn't just an incompetent new guy...not to mention all the training that had been drilled in to his head. As she leaned forward, Jack continued, raising up his left arm while simultaneously driving his right arm a bit further in to her stomach. The blow she sent was unexpected, though not entirely, as Jack had expected some form of retaliation.

The blow wasn't entirely dead on as Jack had shifted to the left for his next move but it still hit him. If is left foot hadn't been so firmly placed then Jack might have ended up flat on his back but instead he was able to press his weight on to that foot will driving his left arm at the back of Alex's head: hard enough to disorientate her in training with a full-on strike, capable of killing a normal human being in a fight without armor if he were to hit right.

Phaedra accepted Kajiim's hand and rose to her feet. She took back her VCS and sheathed it in the scabbard on her chest.

"Hand-to-hand then," said Phaedra, punching her right fist into her left palm. She settled into a defensive stance and waited for Kajiim to ready himself. The instant he was ready, Phaedra launched a punch right at the HOSTILE's monoeye.

Henry was told to fight Chad, and he'd been spending his time detaching the purple swizzle-stick of a 'Condensed Fusion Cutter' and tossing it aside. Anslem had stolen his thunder a little.
"Ah, Anslem?" He asked politely before putting his fists up into a boxing position, "Do you mind Melee-a-trois?"

He made two very quick left jabs, whilst keeping the Snakeskin activated to sully his outline. He had his knees crouched low, prepared to cover up from any retorts from Anslem, or boost backwards if he got too feisty.

Kajiim positioned himself as Chief had instructed, Kajiim looked down to make sure his foot was positioned properly. As he looked back up his field of vision was engulfed by a very angry fist, taken aback by the unexpected attack, Kajiim reeled his head back and whipped his left arm up and inside of Phaedras in an attempt to deflect the brunt of the strike. Following through with an upper cut into her abdomen Kajiim torqued his body at a downward angle to the right to avoid any shots to his face.

"Sure. I'll keep them from damaging the ship anymore than they already have." Jet said to Ran and nodded, still leaning up against the wall as she kept an eye on them all. So far everything was good, as long as no weapon's came out, she wouldn't have to interfere and use the ship's AI to shut down their units, assuming it were possible. Otherwise she'd use the specially made EMP rounds she kept in one of the revolver-type guns she had on her somewhere.

Viktor sprouted a mad dog grin as his VCS arced up and away from its intended destination. At this point there was nowhere for him to go but forward. Rather than fight Sean's parry, Kingston's VOID shot upward, following the point of his sword toward the ceiling. His knee was driving straight toward Sean's armored skull.

Anselm simply side-stepped Chad's clumsy assault, leaving a toe behind to trip the marine. "First Pointer: never forget the objective," The marine mocked his comrade playfully, stepping into Chad's vacated spot and leaving his open for the new marine, Anselm resumed the stance with his heel a hair's breadth away from the vibrochain knife.

"...and that's a score of two for m- oof!" Too focused on playing around with Chad, Henry had caught Anselm by surprise, landing solid blows on his helmet, sending the hulking Aggressor stumbling sideways.

Surprised by the continued dodge, rather then combat, Sean immediately tucked his chin, tensing his neck while loosening the rest of his body. Because of that, when the knee connected, he got knocked back, but stayed on his feet and wasn't shaken at all really. Lesson one, don't stay in front of them. If he thought of that on the spur of the moment, no doubt they'd be ready to do it. Rather then try to chase Kingston into the air, where his more agile suit would have an advantage, Sean settled onto the balls of his 'feet', readying the P/P system to dodge to the side at a moments notice.

Alex was prepared for his retaliation. He attacked with his left hand right from above tryin to strike her head. She quickly put her right arm up to block his attack. It was pretty strong and she felt her arm move down, but she managed to block it somehow. He was really strong and fast and Alex wasn't much for fists. She went more along kicking, or knife combat.

She was in a pinch here, thinkin quickly how to not lose. She leaned back quickly in rather defensive stance waitin for his next attack.

Being blocked by her right arm had been unexpected for Jack. He could easily out-match her in reach and strength but man did Alex have flexibility...and he had just made that sound sexual. Jack felt her starting to move back in to a defensive stance in order to resume her proper position. Jack was ready for her retreat: it was a sign that she either had a plan or that he was starting to win. Jack was prepared for either one of those situations to present itself.

"Pulling back?" Jack asked, trying his hand at mockery "Are you that scared?" If they wanted to demean him for being fresh from boot camp then he wouldn't spare her or any of her squad members a return of the favor.

Alex just smirked from what she heard. But she was determined not to be nice to him. At least for now. She still stood in balanced stance with her arms bent in front of her ready to block enemy's attacko or retaliate. "Scared?" she said. "No not scared. I just assumed battle position, after my last attack I ended up in rather unbalanced stance and because that attack did't work I had to pull back to assume batter stance. You attack on head wasn't bad, but with little handiwork you could topple me easily. Direct attacks are not always the answer. Now I am back in balanced stance and we are right where we started."

It was rather long monologue, but she enjoyed it. It was true after if stepped caught her, he could used her momentum and send her to the ground. In real close combat battle when you are on the ground you are half dead. Alex thought about instantly attackin at the end of her monologou, but she will let him slide for now.
